Howard W. McClelland, 81, Fishers, died on Saturday (Feb. 22, 2003) at his home.

Funeral services were at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Luke’s United Methodist Church, Robertson Sanctuary, Indianapolis.

Preferred memorials are to the The Garden Blossom of St. Luke’s United Methodist Church, 100W 86th St., Indianapolis, IN 46260; or to the Wheeler Mission, P.O. Box 817, Indianapolis, IN 46206.

Shirley Brothers Funeral Home, Fishers-Castleton Chapel, 9900 Allisonville Rd., Fishers, IN 46038, was in charge of arrangements.

Emerson L. Denton

Emerson L. Denton, 66, Fort Wayne, died at 3:30 a.m. Sunday (March 2, 2003) at his home.

Calling is 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the Hockemeyer & Miller Funeral Home, 6131 St. Joe Rd., Fort Wayne. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home at 1 p.m. Wednesday, with calling one hour prior to services.

Burial will be at the Greenlawn Memorial Park.

Preferred memorials are to the American Cancer Society or St. Joe Church of Christ, in care of the Hockemeyer & Miller Funeral Home, 6131 St. Joe Rd., Fort Wayne, IN 46835.

Mildred ‘Terry’ Bir

Mildred Betty “Terry” Thompson Bir died Saturday morning (March 1, 2003) at the Queen of Angels Hollywood Presbyterian Medical Center, Hollywood, Calif.

There will be no calling. Mrs. Bir’s body will be cremated.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Los Angeles Humane Society or the Queen of Angels Hollywood Presbyterian Medical Center, 1300 N. Vermont Ave., Hollywood CA 90027.

Theodora T. Bellante

Theodora T. “Teddy” Bellante, 75, a resident of the United Methodist Memorial Home, Warren, died at 2:30 a.m. Saturday (March 1, 2003) at the home, where she had lived since July 3, 1993.

Calling is from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Sunday at the United Methodist Memorial Home-Aldersgate Chapel, where services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday with Rev. Don Wilks officiating.

Burial will be at Spring Hill Cemetery, Warren.

Preferred memorials are to the United Methodist Memorial Home Foundation.

Glancy Funeral Homes-H. Brown and Son Chapel, Warren, is in charge of arrangements.

Wilma J. Wilkerson

Wilma Jane Wilkerson, 80, Wabash, died at 11:20 a.m. Saturday (March 1, 2003) at the Wabash County Hospital.

Calling is 4-8 p.m. Wednesday at the McDonald Funeral Home, Eddingfield Chapel, 231 Falls Ave., Wabash, where funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday. Pastor Kent Young will officiate.

Burial will be at the Gardens of Memory Cemetery.

Preferred memorials are to St. Matthew’s United Church of Christ, Wabash, in care of McDonald Funeral Home, Eddingfield Chapel, 231 Falls Ave., Wabash, IN 46992.

Marjorie C. Cook

Marjorie Christine Cook, 91, Nappanee, died at 11:37 p.m. Saturday (March 1, 2003) at Bremen Health Care, Bremen.

There will be no calling hours. Cremation is planned.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Zion Missionary Church, 1135 E. Hively Ave., Elkhart, with Rev. David Ashley officiating.

There will also be a memorial service at 11 a.m. Friday at the College Park United Brethren Church in Huntington with Rev. Raymond Waldfogel officiating.

Preferred memorials are to the Zion Missionary Church for Bethel College Scholarships, in care of Thompson-Lengacher & Yoder Funeral Homes, 905 N. Main St., Nappanee, IN 46550.

Ruth E. Kaylor

Ruth E. Kaylor, 88, Huntington, died at 7:15 p.m. Saturday (March 1, 2003).

Calling is from 1 p.m. until the 2 p.m. funeral service Saturday at the Bailey-Love Mortuary. Rev. Richard Lofgren will officiate.

Burial will be at Pilgrims Rest Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Norwood Nursing Center Activity Department, in care of Bailey-Love Mortuary, 35 W. Park Dr., Huntington, IN 46750.

Ronnie R. VanMeter

Ronnie Ray VanMeter, 56, Lebanon, died at 6:42 a.m. Thursday (March 6, 2003) at the AmeriCare Living Center in Wabash.

Calling will be held from 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. funeral service Monday at the Grandstaff-Hentgen Main Street Chapel, 86 E. Main St., Wabash. Pastor Danny Boone will officiate.

Burial will be at the Star of Hope Cemetery in Huntington County.

Preferred memorials are to the ARC of Wabash County, in care of Grandstaff-Hentgen Main Street Chapel, 86 E. Main St., Wabash, IN 46992.

Betty L. Stouder

Betty L. Stouder, 71, 839 Edna Alley, died at 9:11 a.m. Thursday (March 6, 2003) at the Bluffton Regional Medical Center.

Calling is 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Sunday at the Deal-Robbins & Van Gilder Funeral Home, Huntington Chapel, where funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday. Major Ralph Ashcraft will officiate.

Burial will be at the Riverside Cemetery, Andrews.

Preferred memorials are to the Salvation Army, 1424 E. Market St., Huntington, IN 46750.

Dorothy M. Lewis

Dorothy M. Lewis, 92, Van Buren, died at 4:15 a.m. Thursday (March 6, 2003) at the Marion General Hospital.

Calling is 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Sunday at the Ferguson Funeral Home, 201 W. Main St., Van Buren.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday at the funeral home with Rev. Mike Helms officiating.

Burial will be at the Gardens of Memory Cemetery.

Dorothy F. Lass

Dorothy F. Lass, 97, died at 5:15 p.m. Wednesday (March 5, 2003) at the United Methodist Memorial Home in Warren, where she was a resident.

Calling is 5-8 p.m. Friday at the United Methodist Memorial Home, 801 Huntington Ave., Warren, where funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday. Rev. John Bellante will officiate.

Burial will be at the Gardens of Memory Cemetery.

James Angstrom

James Angstrom, 48, 4900N-900W, Andrews, died at 6:20 a.m. Thursday (March 6, 2003) at his home.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Huntington Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 1640 Grant St., with Mark Ristow officiating.

Cremation will take place at a later date.
