Harold D. Rupley, 86, Fort Wayne, died at 9:05 a.m. Saturday (Feb. 1, 2003) at Byron Health Center.
Graveside services will be at noon on Tuesday at the Beech Grove Cemetery, with Pastor Brooks Fetters officiating.
Memorials may be made to the family.
The Smith and Sons Miller Chapel, South Whitley, is in charge of arrangements.

Ruth D. Metcalfe, 89, Warren, died at 1:25 p.m. Thursday (Jan. 30, 2003) at the United Methodist Memorial Home in Warren.
Services were private with Rev. John Bellante officiating. Burial was at the Spring Hill Cemetery, Warren.
Preferred memorials are to the United Methodist Memorial Home, 801 Huntington Ave, Warren, IN 46792. The Glancy Funeral Homes-H. Brown and Son Chapel, 203 Matilda St, Warren, IN 46792, was in charge of arrangements.

Ruby E. Koby, 81, Mentone, died at 8:10 p.m. Saturday (Feb.. 1, 2003) at Kosciusko Community Hospital, Warsaw.
Calling hours are from 1 to 3 p.m. Wednesday at the Glancy Funeral Homes-H. Brown and Son Chapel, 203 N. Matilda St., Warren. Services will be held at the funeral home at 3 p.m. Wednesday with Pastor Charles Dye Jr. officiating.
Burial will be at the Masonic Cemetery, Warren.

Allan M. Hindle Sr.
Allan Moore Hindle Sr., 75, Zanesville, died at 7:04 p.m. Friday (Jan. 31, 2003) at Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne.
There is no calling.
Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. today at the McElhaney-Hart Funeral Home, with Rev. Frank Gready officiating.
Burial is private.

Fred A. Ebert
Fred A. Ebert, 93, a resident of Miller’s Merry Manor, died at the home at 2:45 p.m. Saturday (Feb. 1, 2003).
Calling is 10-11 a.m. Tuesday at Deal-Robbins & Van Gilder Funeral Home, with services to follow at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be at Thrailkill Cemetery, Swayzee.
Memorials may be made to the donor’s choice of charity.

Mary Ruth Collins, 81, died Friday (Jan. 31, 2003) at the Hospice Home of Northeast Indiana, Fort Wayne. She was a former resident of Roanoke.
Calling is 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at D.O. McComb and Sons Funeral Home, Covington Road, Fort Wayne, with services at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be at the East Hill Cemetery
in Arlington, Ind.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Visiting Nurse Service’s Hospice Home.
Burnetta Ann Buzzard
Burnetta Ann “Blondie” Buzzard, 77, Warren, died at 10:25 p.m. Saturday (Feb. 1, 2003) in her home.
Calling hours are from 2 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Glancy Funeral Homes-H. Brown and Son Chapel, 203 N. Matilda St., Warren. Services will be held at the funeral home at 10 a.m. Wednesday with Rev. Bill Fisher officiating.
Burial will be in the Gardens of Memory in Marion.

Kurt Kauffman
Kurt Kauffman, 47, Columbia City, died Sunday (Feb. 2, 2003) at the Hospice Home of Northeast Indiana, Fort Wayne.
Calling is 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday at the D.O. McComb and Sons Covington Knolls Funeral Home, 8325 Covington Rd., Fort Wayne. Services will be held at the funeral home at 11 a.m. Thursday.
Memorial contributions may be made to an education fund for the Kauffman children, Erin’s House, or Make-A-Wish of Indiana Inc.
Leota L. Lindeman
Leota L. Lindeman, 95, formerly of North Jefferson Street, died at 6:55 a.m. Tuesday (Feb. 4, 2003) at the Norwood Nursing Center.
Mrs. Lindeman, who had also lived in Fort Wayne, worked in manufacturing for many years at General Electric in Fort Wayne. She retired in 1969.
She was born June 17, 1907 in Huntington County, to Gideon and Addie Class Stetzel. Her first marriage was to Ned Raver in Huntington in May of 1926. The couple divorced and he died in 1959. Her second marriage was to Everett Lindeman in Fort Wayne on April 3, 1953. He died in 1984.
Survivors include a son, Thomas E. Raver, Albion; a daughter, Mrs. James (Jean) McIlrath, Huntington; a stepson, Ralph “Bud” Lindeman, Fort Wayne; a sister, Annabelle Werling, New Haven; six grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by four brothers, Russell Stetzel, Walter Stetzel, Nelson Stetzel, and Danny Stetzel; a sister, Mary Stonebraker; a half-brother, Kenneth Schlaudruff; a granddaughter and a stepgrandson.
Calling is 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the Myers Funeral Home, Huntington Chapel, where funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday. Dr. Sam Young will officiate.
Interment will be at Covington Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Fort Wayne.
Preferred memorials are to the Alzheimer’s Association, in care of Myers Funeral Home, 2901 Guilford St., Huntington, IN 46750.
Carol Young
Caroline Anne “Carol” Seifert Young, 61, 1329 Polk St., died at her home at 2:08 p.m. Wednesday.
Mrs. Young was a 34-year member of the Huntington Plan Commission. She was appointed by former Mayor John Knop in 1968 and served until resigning late last year because of illness. She was succeeded on the panel by her son, Jeffry Young. She was a past president of both the Huntington Board of Zoning Appeals and the executive board of the Huntington Countywide Department of Community Development.
She had been active with the March of Dimes and was one of the first board
members for Huntington Heritage Days. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, the Rosary Sodality, and the Columbian Ladies. She was a 43-year member of Delta Theta Tau Sorority and had served as president and in several other offices of the sorority. She was also a member of the Huntington County Women’s Club.
She graduated from Huntington Catholic High School in 1959 and also graduated from Ravenscroft Beauty College, Fort Wayne. She was a former owner of Market Street Inc.
She was born Oct. 24, 1941, in Huntington, to Gerald P. Seifert and Geraldine Leimgruber Seifert. She married James W. Young May 27, 1961, in Huntington; her husband survives.
Additional survivors include two sons, Jeffry W. Young, Huntington, and John W..
Young, Roanoke; two daughters, Cathy A. Young, Grandville, Mich., and Cynthia A. Niswander, Huntington; two sisters, Patricia Thorn, Merrillville, and Margaret Moore, Kokomo; and nine grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Diane Seifert.
Calling is 2-8 p.m. Friday at the Deal-Robbins & Van Gilder Funeral Home. Alpha Delta Chapter of Delta Theta Tau Sorority will hold a memorial service at 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary Catholic Church, with Father Gary Sigler officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made to Huntington Catholic School, St. Mary Catholic Church, or Delta Theta Tau Sorority, in care of the funeral home.
Albert H. Thompson
Albert H. Thompson, 67, 1802W-1100S, Warren, died at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday (Feb. 4, 2003) at Parkview Huntington Hospital.
Calling is from 10 a.m. to noon Friday at Glancy Funeral Homes, H. Brown and Son Chapel, Warren, where services will be held at noon Friday. Pastor Bill Keen will officiate.
Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery, Bluffton.
