Zula Robinson
POSEYVILLE - Zula Mae (Strickland) Robinson, 79, died Tuesday, Nov. 6, 2001, at Select Specialty Hospital-Evansville of complications of a stroke.
She had been a home caregiver since her retirement from Deaconess Hospital in Evansville. She was a member of St. Paul Methodist Church.
Surviving are three daughters, Judy Davis of Evansville, Vonda Parker and Angie Robinson, both of Poseyville; two sons, Larry Wayne and Robert Dale, both of Poseyville; a half sister, Golda Churchwell of New Harmony and Arletta Manis of Thompsonville, Ill.; 19 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn, in 1983, a daughter, Mary Jane Field, and a son, Alan Kern.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Holder Funeral Home in Owensville, with burial in Poseyville Cemetery.

Rodney Crossley Sr.
GRANDVIEW - Rodney Crossley Sr. 32, of Owensboro, Ky., formerly of Grandview, died Monday, Nov. 5, 2001, at Owensboro Mercy Health System of a heart condition. He was a landscaper and member of New Hope Church, Owensboro HIV-AIDS Task Force and Matthew 25 in Henderson, Ky.
Surviving are his wife, Misti; a daughter, Felicia Crossley of Owensboro; a stepdaughter, Rebecca Rogers of Owensboro; two sons, Jared Hayward of Oklahoma, and Rodney Jr. of Owensboro; his mother, Alice Crossley of Owensboro; three sisters, Jane Payton of Hatfield, Terri Newman of Atlanta and Claudia of Sellersburg; a brother, Jeff of Owensboro; a half brother, Kris of Boonville; and grandparents. Claude and Elsie Hack, Virginia Crossley and Gene Wetzel.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Boultinghouse Funeral Home in Rockport, with burial in Mount Zion Cemetery
in Richland City.

Michael Rothrock
PETERSBURG - Michael "Buck" Rothrock, 64, died Monday, Nov. 5, 2001, at his home of a stroke.
He was a coal miner and electrician and member of the United Mine Workers Local 5179, Winslow Eagles and Sons of the American Legion.
Surviving are a son, Mike of Winslow; a daughter, Karen Lee of Oakland City; four sisters, Nola Gartin and Betty Evans, both of Petersburg, Olive Clark of Tavares, Fla., and Laura Freeman of Oakland City; three brothers, Dan of Oakland City and John "Bill" and Tony, both of Winslow; four grandchildren; and his companion, Pat Rothrock.
Services will be at 1 p.m. EST Friday at Curtis Funeral Home in Winslow, with burial in Montgomery Cemetery
in Oakland City.

Jack Brown
BOONVILLE - Jack Brown, 63, died Tuesday, Nov. 6, 2001, at St. Mary's Medical Center in Evansville of cancer. He retired in 1999 after 26 years with Peabody Coal Co. Lynnville Mine, worked for Brown's Radiator Service in Evansville, was service manager for Sears Downtown Garage and had owned and operated Jack's Downtown Marathon in Evansville.
He attended Grace Bible Church in Chandler and was a member of United Mine Workers Local 9926, Boonville Elks, Lynnville Masonic Lodge and Evansville Scottish rite and Hadi Shrine and their mariners and directors staff.
Surviving are his wife of 24 years, Shirley; a daughter, Tracy Neel of Evansville; a son, Doug of Evansville; four stepsons, Neil Bailey of Evansville, Jeff Bailey of Flagler Beach, Fla., Jim Bailey of Greenville, Ky., and Richard Bailey of Spurgeon; two sisters, Deanna Moog of Evansville and Brenda Brown of Elberfeld; a brother, Darrel of Boonville; 13 grandchildren, Andrew and Adam Neel, Rory, Alex and Regan, Brown, Jared, Ashley, Jason, Devin, Austin, Jacob and Joshua Bailey and Mandy Wargel; and two great-grandsons.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Koehler Funeral Home Boonville Chapel, with burial in Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery
in Evansville.

Edna Wood
PRINCETON - Edna E. Wood, 89, died Monday, Nov. 5, 2001, at Gibson General Hospital. She was a member of the First General Baptist Church. Surviving are a sister, Jane Livermore of Hazleton; and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Maurice "Woodie," of 1979.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Colvin Funeral Home, with burial in Odd Fellows Cemetery
in Francisco.

WADESVILLE - Marjorie Helen (Fuller) Brooks, 81, died Monday, Nov. 5, 2001, at Columbia Healthcare Facility in Evansville. She was a member of Wadesville Christian Church.
Surviving are her husband of 62 years, Eugene; a daughter, Virginia Schneck of Mount Vernon; a son, Charles of Wadesville; a sister, Ruth Rokosik of Alton, Ill.; seven grandchildren, Pam and Keith Schneck, Kimberly Martin, Charles Jr. and Jeffrey Brooks, Danielle Germano and Taylor Beau; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Werry Funeral Home Poseyville Chapel, with entombment in Alexander Memorial Park in Evansville.

Infant Gage Detalente
BOONVILLE — Gage Colton Detalente, son of John Detalente and Leslie Hebner, both of Boonville, was stillborn, Monday, Nov. 5, 2001, at The Women's Hospital in Newburgh.
Also surviving are grandparents, Anita and Kevin Arringdale, Tony Hebner, Paul and Mary Detalente and Deborah and Robert Danuinas; and great-grandparents.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery
in Evansville, the Rev. Jack Feldbusch officiating. Koehler Funeral Home Boonville Chapel is handling arrangements.
Suzanne Vetter
DALE — Suzanne (Schroer) Vetter, 62, of Indianapolis, formerly of Dale, died Monday, Nov. 5, 2001, at St. Vincent's Hospice Center in Indianapolis of cancer.
She worked for Bank One in Indianapolis since 1980.
She was a 1957 graduate of Shortridge High School in Indianapolis.
Surviving are a son, Roger Allen of Columbus, Ohio; her father, O.R. Martin of Indianapolis; and a grandson, Ryan Vetter.
Services will be at 5 p.m. CST Friday at Fuller Funeral Home and Crematory in Dale, burial in the Dale Cemetery.

There will be a memorial service at 1:30 p.m. EST at St. Vincent's Hospice Chapel in Indianapolis.

James Gordon
James M. Gordon, 75, of Evansville, died Saturday, Nov. 3, 2001, at Deaconess Hospital of complications of pulmonary fibrosis.
He retired after 41 years with Southern Indiana Gas & Electric Co. as director of purchasing. He had been instrumental in organizing the SIGECO employee activities organizations and SIGECO Retirees Club.
He was a 1950 graduate of Purdue University with a degree in electrical engineering. He was a World War II Naval Air Force veteran.
He was chairman of the finance committee and director of Christian education for 29 years at Westwood General Baptist Church.
He was a charter member of West Side Kiwanis Club, a member of the advisory council of the Salvation Army, trustee of Oakland City University and a member of the Masons, Scottish Rite, Hadi Temple Shrine and Cythiana Eastern Star.
Surviving are his wife, Evadean (Vaught); a daughter, Susan Ward of Pittsburg, Kan.; a son, Bruce of Indianapolis; a sister, Marcia Thompson of Kirkwood, Mo.; and five grandchildren, Christopher and Jennifer Ward and Matthew, Kaitlin and William Gordon.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Westwood General Baptist Church, the Revs. John O. Sloan and Jim Rudolph officiating, with burial in Owensville (Ind.) Odd Fellows Cemetery.
Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. today at Alexander Funeral Home West Chapel and from noon to service time at the church.

John Snyder
John W. Snyder, 52, of Newburgh, formerly of Shawneetown, Ill., died Saturday, Nov. 3, 2001, at Newburgh Health Care of cancer.
He was a farmer.
Surviving are two sisters, Frances Masterson of Louisville, Ky., and Jane Scarbrough of Newburgh; and three brothers, James Arthur and Tom Snyder, both of Troy, Ind., and Roy Snyder of Cloverport, Ky.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Boultinghouse Funeral Home in Rockport, Ind., with burial in St. Michael Cemetery
in Cannelton, Ind.

Carrie Holmes
Carrie L. Holmes, 77, of Evansville, died Sunday, Nov. 4, 2001, at Deaconess Hospital of a stroke.
She retired from Sears Roebuck and Co. and had worked for Baum?s Variety Store.
She was a 1942 graduate of Reitz High School.
She was a member and taught Sunday school at Riverside Church of God and had been a driver for Cancer Society patients. She was a bowler from 1957 to 1975.
Surviving are three daughters, Carolyn J. and Janet L. Holmes and Carmen D. Rhoades, all of Evansville; a son, Vernon R. Sr. of Evansville; three sisters, Earletah Gibson and Dee Alvey, both of Evansville, and Margurite Rotstein of Pittsburgh; a stepsister, Helen Watkins of Alabama; 10 grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Luke K., in 1995, and a daughter, Beverly Gibson, in 1990.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Alexander Funeral Home West Chapel, the Rev. D.W. Cobb officiating, with burial in Park Lawn Cemetery.
