Maurice W. Morton, 57, Hastings, Mich., a former resident of Huntington County, died at 1:38 p.m. Thursday (Sept. 5, 2002) at the Mayo Clinic, St. Mary’s Hospital, Rochester, Minn.
Calling will be from 1-3 and 5-7 p.m. Monday at the Wren Funeral Home, 1401 N. Broadway, Hastings, Mich.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with Rev. Mark Patchett officiating. Burial, with military rites, will be at the Riverside Cemetery, Hastings, Mich.
Preferred memorials are to the Cardiac Care Unit of the Mayo Clinic, in care of the funeral home.

Coleta B. Girvin, 87, died at 10 a.m. Saturday (Sept. 7, 2002) at the Markle Health Care Center.
Calling is 6-8 p.m. Monday at the Myers Funeral Home Markle Chapel, 415 N. Lee St., Markle. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with Gerald O. Moreland officiating. Burial will be at the Markle Cemetery.

Walter Buchholz
Walter Buchholz, 84, a former resident of Union Township, died Thursday (Sept. 5, 2002) at his home in Sun City, Ariz.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Sept. 13, at St. Peter’s First United Church of Christ, 206 Etna Ave.

Rex Dean Boxell, 75, Chesterfield, Mo., died at 2:30 p.m. Friday (Sept. 13, 2002) at St. Luke’s Hospital in Chesterfield.
Calling is 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Monday at the Myers Funeral Home, Huntington Chapel. Additional calling will be held from 9-10 a.m. Tuesday at College Park United Brethren Church, where services will follow at 10 a.m. Pastor Brent Birdsall and Pastor Bill Rapp will officiate.
Burial will be at Star of Hope Cemetery, Huntington.

Services were held Saturday in Murfreesboro, Tenn., for Edna T. Womack Cox, 96, Murfreesboro, who died Thursday (Sept. 12, 2002), in Murfreesboro.
Services were held at the Murfreesboro Church of Christ, with Tommy Mounts and Travis Watson officiating.
Interment was in the Pleasant Home Cemetery, with arrangements under the direction of Davis-Smith Funeral Home, Glenwood, Ark.
Gwendolyn S. Shannon
Gwendolyn Sult Shannon, 93, a resident of the United Methodist Memorial Home in Warren, died at the home at 10:20 a.m. Saturday (Sept. 14, 2002).
The family will hold a private graveside service Monday at Elm Grove Cemetery, Bluffton. Rev. John Wallace will officiate.
The Thoma/Rich Hewitt & Chaney Funeral Home, Bluffton, is in charge of arrangements.

James E. Hansen, 74, Logansport, died at 3:30 p.m. Thursday (Sept. 12, 2002) at Memorial Hospital in Logansport.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, with calling one hour prior to the Mass, at the Victory Noll Chapel with Rev. Thomas Fahey officiating.
Burial will be at Victory Noll Cemetery.
A memorial Mass will be held in Texas.
