Audrey Louise Harris
Audrey L. Harris, 74 of Huntington died at 7:12 AM on Saturday, May 8, 2004 at the Hospice Home of Fort Wayne. Mrs. Harris was a member of the Zion United Methodist Church; she was also a member of the Oak Lane Ladies Bowling League and the Oak Lane Leisure Ladies. She had worked for 15 years at E-System Memcor in Huntington.
Audrey was born on June 4, 1929 in Huntington, a daughter of Jesse and Ethel Kreamer Weinley
She was united in marriage to Paul Harris on February 28, 1948 in Huntington. He preceded her in death on March 15, 1993.
Survivors include three sons: Paul Harris Jr. of Leesburg, IN; Danny Harris of Berne, IN; Michael Lee Harris of Huntington; a daughter: Mrs. Jack (Debra) Schoenherr of Fort Wayne; nineteen grandchildren and twenty-four great grandchildren.
Two brothers: Earl and Kenneth Weinley and two sisters: Olive Whitesell and Margaret Whitesell preceded her in death.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, May 11, 2004 from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM at the Myers Funeral Home Huntington Chapel, 2901 Guilford Street, Huntington, Indiana.
Services will be held on Wednesday, May 12, 2004 at 10:00 AM at the Myers Funeral Home Huntington Chapel with Rev. Bill Rapp officiating.
Interment will be at the Gardens of Memory Cemetery
in Huntington County.
Preferred memorials are to Hospice Home of Fort Wayne; Zion United Methodist Church or to the Donor`s Choice all in care of Myers Funeral Home, 2901 Guilford Street, Huntington, IN 46750.
Anna Pearl Mounsey
Anna P. Mounsey, 83 of Richmond, Indiana, formerly of the Markle area, died at 9:52 AM on Saturday, May 8, 2004 at the Reid Memorial Hospital in Richmond. Miss Mounsey had lived in the Nine Mile area for several years. She had moved to the Richmond area in 1956.
Anna was born on March 23, 1921 in Wells County, a daughter of William H. and Nettie M. Terrell Mounsey.
Survivors include two sisters: Mabelle Woodward of Fort Wayne and Grace Frederick of Yoder.
A brother: Earl Mounsey and a sister: Talitha Stickler preceded her in death.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, May 11, 2004 from 8-9 AM at the Myers Funeral Home Markle Chapel, 415 N. Lee Street, Markle, Indiana.
Services will be held on Tuesday, May 11, 2004 following the visitation at 9:00 AM at the Myers Funeral Home Markle Chapel with Pastor Mark Cleaveland officiating.
Interment will be at the Nine Mile Cemetery
in Allen County.
Dorothy M. McCurley
Dorothy M. McCurley, 73 of Markle died on Tuesday, May 11, 2004 at her home. Mrs. McCurley was a 1949 graduate of Concordia Lutheran High School in Fort Wayne. She was a past Girl Scout Leader in Fort Wayne for several years.
She was born on May 1, 1931 in Fort Wayne, a daughter of Otto and Clara Jeffries Reinking.
She was married to Frank McCurley Jr. for 33 years. Her husband survives.
Additional survivors include a son: Wendell Schweyer of Fort Wayne, two daughters: Cheryl Lapp of Fort Wayne, Melody Serrato of Harlingen, Texas, two stepsons: Kenneth Cross and Jeff Cross both of Huntington, a brother: Carl Reinking of Traverse City, Michigan, a sister: Marlene Orr of Urbana, Ohio, six grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
A brother: Alfred Reinking preceded her in death.
Visitation will be on Friday, May 14, 2004 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the Myers Funeral Home Markle Chapel, 415 N. Lee Street, Markle, Indiana.
Services will be held on Saturday, May 15, 2004 at 11:00 AM at the Myers Funeral Home Markle Chapel, 415 N. Lee Street, Markle, Indiana.
Interment will be at the Markle Cemetery.

Gladys Lund
Gladys L. (Overholt) Lund, 87 of Markle died at 9:00 PM on Sunday, May 16, 2004 at Bluffton Regional Medical Center. Mrs. Lund was a 1934 graduate of Huntington High School. She was a homemaker and also worked for several years as a cook at the Wolf & Dessaur Store in Huntington. She had also worked as a cook at Lincoln Elementary School cafeteria for several years. She was a member of the Markle Church of Christ where she served as a Sunday School teacher for many years.
Gladys was born on July 22, 1916 in Chester Township in Wabash County, a daughter of Milward and Mary Ellen Rupley Overholt.
She was united in marriage to Donald V. Lund on January 1, 1935 in Markle. Her husband survives.
Additional survivors include two daughters: Mrs. James (Carol S.) Haupert of Wabash; Mrs. Patrick (Cynthia A.) Waikel of Markle; a daughter-in-law: Mrs. A. Annette Lund of Markle; a brother Lloyd E. (Mary) Overholt of Markle; three sisters: Mrs. Rod (Helen) Bradburn of Markle; Mrs. Doyle (Donna) Brown of Markle; Mrs. Paul (Joyce) Kinsey of Lady Lake, FL; seven grandchildren: Kyle E. (Lisa) Lund of Markle; Colleen M. (Brian) Johnson of Columbia City; Stephanie E. (N. Dale) Gray of Fishers, IN; Felicia L. (Andrew) Hill of North Vernon, IN; Valerie J. (Phillip) Sperry of Lebanon, IN; Chad R. Mitchell of Huntington; Danielle R. (Aaron) Reynolds of Bluffton; three step grandchildren: Heath Waikel of Texas; Gregory Waikel and Jennifer Waikel both of Huntington; fifteen great grandchildren and step great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son: Robert E. Lund on March 18, 1984; a grandson: Harland E. Haupert II on December 5, 1988; three brothers: Glenn Overholt in 1987; Raymond Overholt in 1979; Floyd Overholt in 1926; two sisters: Mrs. Pearl (Dorothy) Miller in 2000 and Mrs. Paul (June) Geiger in 1983.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 18, 2004 from 2:00 - 8:00 PM at the Myers Funeral Home Markle Chapel, 415 N. Lee Street, Markle, Indiana.
Services will be held on Wednesday, May 19, 2004 at 11:00 AM at the Markle Church of Christ, 455 E. Morse Street, Markle, Indiana.
Preferred memorials are to the Markle Church of Christ Missions Fund in care of Myers Funeral Home, P.O. Box 403, Markle, IN 46770.
Interment will be at the Markle Cemetery.
Priya E. Brane
`Priya Elizabeth Brane, infant daughter of Thomas A. and Suja M. Mathai Brane of Cincinnati, OH died on Wednesday, May 19, 2004 at the Christ Hospital in Cincinnati. Priya was born on May 19, 2004. Her parents survive.
Additional survivors include: Paternal grandparents: John and Bette Brane of Markle, Maternal grandparents: Matthew and Mary Mathai of India, Paternal great grandmother: Josephine Siders of Wabash, Maternal Great grandmother: Annamma Thomas of India and Maternal great grandfather: Varghese Mathai of India.
Private family graveside services will be held at a later date at the Center Grove Cemetery
in Lincolnville, Indiana with Pastor Wendall Brane officiating.
Myers Funeral Home Markle Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
Joe R. Donald
Joe R. Donald, Jr., 43 of Huntington died at approximately 9:38 PM on Sunday, May 23, 2004 from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident on CR 300 W south of CR 100 S in Huntington County. Mr. Donald was a 1979 graduate of Huntington North High School. He worked in the gas assembly division of Majestic Corporation for the past two years. He previously worked as a journeyman tool and die maker for Active Products Corporation in Marion for 16 years. He was a licensed electrician. He also worked as a professional truck driver and served in the merchant marine for several years.
Mr. Donald was born September 25, 1960 in Greenville, Mississippi, the son of Joe R. and Olga Petermann Donald, Sr. He was an avid fan of NASCAR racing and enjoyed fishing, gardening, playing guitar, riding motorcycles and restoring classic MOPAR automobiles. He was a member of the Sheet Metal Workers Union Local #214 at Majestic Corporation and had served as a union steward during his employment with Active Products Corporation in Marion.
He is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Stephen (Kristie) McIntyre of Bluffton, IN; a son, Joshua J. Donald of Bluffton, IN; a grandson, Braden E. McIntyre of Bluffton, IN; three sisters, Mrs. Michael (Jeanette Anstett of Ossian, IN, Mrs. Terry (Dee) Dolby of Huntington, IN, and Mrs. Charles (Patricia) White of Huntington, IN; and three nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Olga (Petermann) Donald, Sr.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, May 26, 2004 from 2:00 - 4:00 PM and 6:00 - 8:00 PM at the Myers Funeral Home, Huntington Chapel, 2901 Guilford Street, Huntington, IN 46750
Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, May 27, 2004 at 10:30 AM at the Myers Funeral Home, Huntington Chapel with Pastor Gary Riley officiating.
Interment will be in the Horeb Cemetery, Wells County, Indiana.

James Edgar Ratcliffe
James E. Ratcliffe, 89 of Flatwoods, Kentucky (formerly of Zanesville) died on Wednesday, June 2, 2004 in Bellview, Kentucky. Mr. Ratcliffe was a 1933 graduate of Beaver High School in Bluefield, West Virginia. He was a past member of the Zanesville United Methodist Church and belonged to the Painters Local #469 Union in Fort Wayne, retiring in 1979. He was also a past member of the Zanesville Lions Club.
Mr. Ratcliffe was born on November 24, 1914 in Eggleston, Virginia a son of James C. and Lena T. Cumbie Ratcliffe.
He was united in marriage to Doris M. Skinnel Ratcliffe on February 10, 1937 in Bluefield, West Virginia. She preceded him in death on May 18, 1991.
Survivors include two sons: Frank W. Ratcliffe of Zanesville; James E. Ratcliffe Jr. of Dayton, Ohio; a daughter: Mrs. Paul (Jerry Ann) Bailey of Russell, Kentucky; twelve grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren, one step great grandchild and two great great grandchildren.
Four sisters: Virginia Ratcliffe, Wanda Marchant, Essie May Haggy, Melissa Neal, two brothers: Herbert Ratcliffe, Johnny Ratcliffe and a son: Robert D. Ratcliffe preceded him in death.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 6, 2004 from 12:00 PM - 2:00 PM at the Myers Funeral Home Markle Chapel, 415 N. Lee Street, Markle, Indiana.
Services will be held on Sunday, June 6, 2004 following visitation at 2:00 PM at the Myers Funeral Home Markle Chapel with Pastor Mike Merrell officiating.
