Ica Irene Carey
Ica Irene Carey, 96 formerly of Charles Street died at 1:35 PM on Monday, January 20, 2003 at Miller`s Merry Manor in Huntington. Mrs. Carey worked in manufacturing at H.K. Porter Company in Huntington for many years. She was a member of the East State Street Church of God.
She was born on August 28, 1906 in Huntington County a daughter of Asher and Barbara Hawn Lee.
She was united in marriage to John Maxton in December 1921 in Fort Wayne. He preceded her in death in 1922. Her second marriage was to Arthur Carey on May 14, 1926 in Huntington. He preceded her in death in 1985.
Survivors include a daughter: Dolly Bryant of Huntington, three grandchildren, four great grandchildren, two step grandchildren and two step great grandchildren.
Three brothers: Marvin Lee, Milo Lee, Frank Lee, three sisters: Helen Boyd, Myrtle Plasterer, May Nichols, a daughter: Jean Clark and a step great grandson preceded her in death.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, January 22, 2003 from 2-4PM and 6-8PM at the Myers Funeral Home Huntington Chapel.
Services will be held on Thursday, January 23, 2003 at 1:00PM at the Myers Funeral Home Huntington Chapel.
Interment will be at the Pilgrims Rest Cemetery
in Huntington.

William R. Tester
William R. Tester, 74 of Huntington died at 7:50 AM on Friday, January 17, 2003 at Parkview Huntington Hospital. Mr. Tester was an independent carpenter for many years. He was also a sheet metal worker at Majestic in Huntington for 17 years retiring in 1991. He liked helping others and loved Purdue Basketball, playing euchre and fishing. He enjoyed spending time with his family.
He was born on March 20, 1928 in Huntington a son of George and Mary M. Daily Tester.
He was united in marriage to Bernadette Coulter on September 17, 1948 in Hartford City. His wife survives.
Additional survivors include four sons: Bill A. Tester, Tim L. Tester both of Huntington, Ted L. Tester of Lexington, S.C., Todd L. Tester of Roanoke, a sister: Birtaline Printz of Indianapolis, eleven grandchildren, three great grandchildren and three step great grandchildren.
Four brothers preceded him in death: Harold, Jack, Richard and Robert Tester and two sisters: Marjorie Jackson and Mildred Espinoza.
Visitation will be on Sunday, January 19, 2003 from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM at the Myers Funeral Home Huntington Chapel, 2901 Guilford Street, Huntington, Indiana.
Services will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, January 20, 2003 at the Myers Funeral Home Huntington Chapel.
Interment will be at the Gardens of Memory Cemetery
in Huntington County.

Elmer George Pasko
Elmer George Pasko, 80, formerly of Huntington, Indiana and Clearwater, Florida, died at 5:40 PM on Wednesday, January 1, 2003 at home in Bourbonnais, Illinois. He was a 1940 graduate of Union Center High School and was a U.S. Navy veteran serving as a 2nd class petty officer code operator during
WWII in the Asian Theatre from 1943-1945. Mr. Pasko was co-owner with his brother, Edwin, of the Emporia Elevator for 35 years in Emporia, IN from 1946-1981. He was appointed by Lt. Governor John Mutz to be a consultant to the Indiana Commodity Warehouse License Division from 1982-1990. He was a life member of Gideon`s International since 1961, holding numerous local, district and national offices. He was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene in Clearwater, Florida. Over the years in several Nazarene Churches he has held various local, district and national positions. He was a member of the Del Ray Chapter (Anderson, Indiana) of Toast Masters International. He was a board member of International Reed Institute in Illinois and associated with Olivet Nazarene University in Bourbonnais, Illinois.
He was born on June 2, 1922 in Huntington County a son of George R. and Laura E. Click Pasko.
He was united in marriage to Mary Ann Wine on October 19, 1941 in Huntington. His wife survives.
Additional survivors include a son: Wayne E. Pasko of Westchester, Ohio, a daughter: Ann M. Schwob of Bourbonnais, Illinois, a brother: Edwin O. Pasko of Shirley, IN, a sister: Wilma Largent of Angola, IN, four grandsons and one great grandson.
He was preceded in death by two brothers: Willie Pasko and Albert Pasko, three sisters: Neta Snellenberger, Willadene Brighten and Evalyn Snellenberger.
Visitation will be on Sunday, January 5, 2003 from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM at the Myers Funeral Home Huntington Chapel, 2901 Guilford Street, Huntington, Indiana.
Services will be held on Monday, January 6, 2003 at 10:00 AM with one hour of visitation prior to the service at the First Church of the Nazarene, 1555 Flaxmill Road, Huntington, Indiana with Pastor Bradley Buhro officiating.
Preferred memorials are to Gideon`s International in care of Myers Funeral Home, 2901 Guilford Street, Huntington, IN 46750.
Interment will be at the Star of Hope Cemetery
in Huntington.
Margaret Lucille Harris
Margaret L. Harris, 87 of State Street, Huntington died at 11:15 AM on Tuesday, December 24, 2002 at the Miller`s Merry Manor in Huntington. Mrs. Harris was formerly from Farthington Circle, South Bend, IN. She was a homemaker.
She was born on June 19, 1915 in Hamlet, IN a daughter of Charles and Mabel Good Foote.
She was united in marriage to Eugene A. Harris on September 1, 1955 in South Bend. He preceded her in death on February 12, 1967.
Survivors include two daughters: Margaret Peggy Libbie of Denver, CO, Connie Toschlog of Wilmington, DE, a son: Larry Harris of Denver, IN, a sister: Catherine Hoffman of Warsaw, IN, a grandson: Chuck Harris of Huntington, six grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.
There will be no visitation or funeral services.
Interment will be at a later date.
Myers Funeral Home Huntington Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
Emerson F. Harrell
Emerson F. Harrell, 85 of Rangeline Road, Huntington died at 6:05 AM on Sunday, December 22, 2002 at Miller`s Merry Manor in Huntington. Mr. Harrell retired in 1981 from General Motors in Marion after 21 years of service as a welder. He was a member of the St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church. He was a 1936 graduate of Monument City High School and was a WWII veteran.
He was born on May 12, 1917 in Huntington County a son of Noel and Maude Shuman Harrell.
He was united in marriage to Josephine Eckert on June 30, 1948 in Huntington. His wife survives in Huntington.
Additional survivors include a son: Keevin J. Harrell of Benton, LA. A brother: Donald Harrell of Brownsville, CA., three grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son: Kent Harrell, a sister: Lucille Burns and two brothers: Emmett Harrell and Walter Harrell.
Visitation will be on Monday, December 23, 2002 from 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM at the Myers Funeral Home Huntington Chapel with the reading of the Rosary at 7:00 PM.
Services will be held on Tuesday, December 24, 2002 at 10:00 AM at the SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, 840 Cherry Street, Huntington, Indiana with Father Ron Rieder officiating.
Interment will be at the Mt. Calvary Cemetery
in Huntington.
Preferred memorials are to the SS. Peter and Paul Church Masses, 840 Cherry Street, Huntington, IN 46750.
Christina Louise Steele
Christina L. Steele, 90 of Decatur, formerly of Huntington died at 12:55 PM on Sunday, December 15, 2002 at the Woodcrest Nursing Center in Decatur. Mrs. Steel worked for 31 years at Lime City Manufacturing retiring in 1973. She was a member of the Central Christian Church in Huntington; she was a charter member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Eagles Lodge in Huntington. She was a 1930 graduate of Union Center High School.
She was united in marriage to Leo E. Simon on August 27, 1931 he preceded her in death on October 12, 1942. Her second marriage was to Charles W. Steele on June 19, 1954, he preceded her in death on March 21, 1986.
Survivors include a son: Richard Simon of Tempe, AZ, a daughter: Jeannine Wright of Decatur, four grandchildren, three step grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and four step great grandchildren.
A sister: Mary Crawford preceded her in death.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, December 18, 2002 from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM at the Myers Funeral Home Huntington Chapel.
Services will be held on Thursday, December 19, 2002 at the Myers Funeral Home Huntington Chapel with Dr. Sam Young officiating.
Interment will be at the Gardens of Memory Cemetery
in Huntington County.

Clois Marie Dill
Clois M. Dill, 75 of Rock Creek Township, Huntington County, died at 6:45 AM on Thursday, April 22, 2004 at the Markle Health Care Center in Markle. Mrs. Dill was a homemaker. She attended the Heritage Church of Christ.
Mrs. Dill was born on April 12, 1929 in Kirby, Arkansas, the daughter of Joseph and Ruby Cockrell Killian.
She was united in marriage to Maurice W. Dill on April 12, 1956 in Hot Springs, Arkansas. He preceded her in death on April 1, 1999.
Survivors include three sons: Wilbur Dill and Joe Dill both of Huntington, Mark Dill of Elkhart; two daughters: Mrs. David (Ruby) Holderread of Euclid, OH, Mrs. James (Gladys) Carter of Huntington; seven grandchildren and one sister, Ora Dean Turner of Tennessee. She was preceded in death by three sisters, Bertha McGough, Evia Kirkpatrick, and Pauline Dunlap; and four brothers, Clarence, Willie, Francis and J. R. Killian.
Visitation will be on Sunday, April 25, 2004 from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at the Myers Funeral Home Markle Chapel, 415 N. Lee Street, Markle, Indiana.
Services will be held on Monday, April 26, 2004 at 10:00 AM at the Myers Funeral Home Markle Chapel with Elder Jerry Bailey officiating.
Interment will be at the Star of Hope Cemetery
in Huntington County.
