Cosme M. Torres
Larry M. Keyser, 70 of Huntington County died at 1:40 AM on Friday, August 30, 2002 at his home. Mr. Keyser worked as a supervisor for Shuttleworth in Huntington for 18 years, retiring in 1997. He was a member of the Clear Creek Community Church and was a trustee on the church board. He was also a volunteer at the Parkview Huntington Hospital.
He was born on March 9, 1932 in DeFiance, OH., a son of Herbert and Martha Thomas Keyser.
He was united in marriage to Jessie Warford on December 22, 1950. His wife survives in Huntington.
Additional survivors include four sons: Mark Keyser, DeWayne Keyser, Gary Keyser all of Huntington and Roger Keyser of Ossian, a daughter: Mrs. Jeff (Susan) Dinkel of Greenville, South Carolina, thirteen grandchildren, six step grandchildren, three great grandchildren and five step great grandchildren, two brothers: Jerry Keyser of Wolcottville and Robert Keyser of Angola.
He was preceded in death by a son: John Keyser, a granddaughter and a grandson.
Visitation will be on Sunday, September 1, 2002 from 2:00-8:00PM at the Myers Funeral Home Huntington Chapel, 2901 Guilford Street, Huntington, Indiana.
Services will be held on Monday, September 2, 2002 at 10:00 AM at the Myers Funeral Home Huntington Chapel with Pastor Robert Gonser officiating.
Interment will be at the Lancaster Cemetery
in Huntington County.

John D. Flaugh
John D. Flaugh, 36 of Huntington died at 12:00 PM on Wednesday, July 3, at the Norwood Nursing Center in Huntington. Mr. Flaugh was a 1984 graduate of Huntington North High School. He worked as a machine operator for MAF Manufacturing in Huntington.
He was born on June 3, 1966 in Huntington, the son of Denny and Jan (Yoos) Flaugh. His parents survive in Huntington.
Additional survivors include a daughter: Tyffani Flaugh of Wabash, a sister: Mrs. Andy (Tami) Paul of Huntington, his girlfriend: Tammy Woodward of Wabash, maternal grandparents: Mr. & Mrs. Max Yoos of Huntington, paternal grandmother: Mrs. Ada Flaugh of Andrews and his great grandmother: Mrs. Mildred Hoch of Huntington.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather: Charles Flaugh.
Visitation will be on Saturday, July 6, 2002 from 5 – 8 PM at the Myers Funeral Home Huntington Chapel 2901 Guilford Street, Huntington, Indiana.
Services will be held on Sunday, July 7, 2002 at 2:30 PM with one hour of visitation prior to the service at the Myers Funeral Home Huntington Chapel with Chaplain Karen Kosberg officiating.

Irene Lininger Velta
Velta Irene Lininger, 91 of Huntington (formerly of Clear Creek and Union Townships) died at 4:45 PM on Thursday, July 4, 2002 at The Heritage of Huntington. Mrs. Lininger was a homemaker. She was a member of the Union Church. She was a 1929 graduate of Lafayette Center High School in Allen County, Indiana.
She was born on February 9, 1911 in Lafayette Township in Allen County, a daughter of John and Clara Zintsmaster Crull.
She was united in marriage to George E. Lininger on August 10, 1930 in Allen County. He preceded her in death on February 23, 1988.
Survivors include a son: Ronald D. Lininger of Huntington.
She was preceded in death by a sister: Lona Sigler and a brother: Fred Crull.
Visitation will be on Monday, July 8, 2002 from 3 – 7 PM at the Myers Funeral Home Huntington Chapel, 2901 Guilford Street, Huntington, Indiana.
Services will be on Tuesday, July 9, 2002 at 10:00 AM at the Myers Funeral Home Huntington Chapel with Pastor Wayne D. Pierce officiating.
Interment will be at the Lancaster Cemetery
in Huntington County.

Patricia A. Murray
Patricia A. (Stepnowski) Murray, 72 of rural Huntington died at 4:30 PM on Sunday, July 7, 2002 at her home. Mrs. Murray was a member of The Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church in Port Washington, New York where she served as an usher for 22 years. She loved to spend time with her family and friends. She also enjoyed sewing, dancing and rollerskating.
She was born on April 16, 1930 in Roslyn, New York a daughter of Adam and Adolpha Stepnowski.
Survivors include a son: Mr. Robert A. DeHaven of Houston, TX, a daughter: Mrs. James A. (Sandra S.) House of Huntington, three grandchildren: Travis J. House of Markle, Darcy L. House of Huntington, Erik W. DeHaven of Houston, TX, two great grandchildren: Trevor J. House of Huntington and Elly M. House of Marion, IN.
She was preceded in death by a son: William E. DeHaven, two grandchildren: Chelsea DeHaven and Christa DeHaven, eight sisters and a brother.
There will be a private family visitation on Wednesday, July 10, 2002 at the Myers Funeral Home Huntington Chapel.

Jay Hite Smith
Jay H. Smith, 85 of Sparks Street, Markle died at 2:30 PM on Tuesday, July 30, 2002 at his home.
Mr. Smith was a lifetime farmer in Huntington and Wells County. He was a school bus driver for 30 years for Wells and Huntington County schools. He was a life member of the Markle Church of Christ and was a former volunteer for the Huntington County Cancer Society. He was a 1935 graduate of West Union High School.
He was born on December 17, 1916 in Wells County a son of Arthur E. and Effie Mae (Hite) Smith.
He was united in marriage to Ruth M. Brumbaugh on December 25, 1940 in North Manchester. His wife survives in Markle.
Additional survivors include a son: Ardith J. Smith of Markle, two daughters: Sonja S. (McCoy) Bartlett of Fort Worth, Texas, Cheryl A. Heral of Fairbanks, Alaska, two sisters: Mrs. Guy (Delight) Wiley of Huntington, Hope Worster of Huntington, seven grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by three brothers and a sister.
Visitation will be on Thursday, August 1, 2002 from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM at the Myers Funeral Home Markle Chapel, 415 N. Lee Street, Markle, Indiana.
Services will be on Friday, August 2, 2002 at 10:30 AM at the Myers Funeral Home Markle Chapel with Gerald O. Moreland officiating.
Interment will be at the Markle Cemetery.

Ethel Pauline Walton
Pauline Walton, 74 of Mt. Etna died at 8:50 PM on Thursday, August 1, 2002 at Parkview Huntington Hospital. Mrs. Walton worked with her husband Herbert on the family farm and also worked as a machine operator at Memcor in Huntington for 13 years retiring in 1988. She was a member of the Mt. Etna United Methodist Church. She was a 1946 graduate of Huntington High School. She enjoyed spending time with her family and fishing.
She was born on July 29, 1928 in Marion, Indiana a daughter of Lester and Bertha Logan Tinkle.
She was united in marriage to Herbert M. Walton on August 17, 1946 in Huntington. Her husband survives in Mt. Etna.
Additional survivors include a son: Tom Walton of Mt. Etna, a sister: Ruth Bostel of Warsaw, two grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son: James D. Walton in 1968 and a sister: Wilma Zickafoose.
Graveside services will be held on Saturday, August 3, 2002 at 10:00 AM at the Mt. Etna Cemetery
with Pastor Tom DeFries officiating.
Myers Funeral Home Huntington Chapel is in charge of arrangements.

Charles Henry Odier
Charles H. Charlie Odier, 84, of Orchard Lane, Huntington died at 12:40 PM on Friday, August 2, 2002 at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Mr. Odier worked as a railroad conductor with the Erie Lackawana Railroad, retiring in 1980 after 42 years of employment. He was a long time member of the Evangelical United Methodist Church and more recently a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church. He was a member of the Huntington Moose Lodge #837 and was a member of the Amity Lodge F & AM #483, and the Scottish Rite of Fort Wayne. He was also a member of the Erie Lackawana Veteran`s Association. He was a 1936 graduate of Huntington High School.
He was born on March 11, 1918 in Wells County, Indiana, a son of John H and Lottie M. Sprowl Odier.
He was united in marriage to June M. Stallsmith on October 14, 1939 in Huntington, Indiana. She preceded him in death on November 16, 1996. He then married Johanna Schmidt on June 15, 2000 at Trinity United Methodist Church in Huntington, Indiana. She survives.
Additional survivors include a four stepchildren, five step grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his first wife, he was preceded in death by a son; Michael W. Odier who died on April 3, 1963.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 5, 2002 at 10:00 AM at the Mount Hope Cemetery
Mausoleum Chapel, 1700 West Park Drive, Huntington, Indiana with Rev. Nanci Rosinski officiating.
Interment will be at the Mount Hope Cemetery.
