Patrick Cole Waters
Patrick Cole Waters, seven-week-old son of Patrick Waters and Lutora Parrett Waters, 430 Lindley St., died at 1:30 p.m. Saturday (Feb. 26, 2000) at Riley Children’s Hospital, Indianapolis.
Patrick Cole was born Dec. 31, 1999, in Huntington. His parents survive.
Also surviving are two sisters, Brandy Waters and Cozetta Wolford, both of Huntington; four brothers, James Kuchar, Chris Waters, Mat Waters and Terry Waters, all of Huntington; his maternal grandparents, Mrs. Tom (Pam) Maxwell and Mike Parrett, both of Huntington; and his maternal great-grandparents, Reva Parrett and JD and Evelyn Steward, all of Huntington.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Archo Wolford; and his paternal grandparents, Earl and Hazel Waters.
Calling will be held from 5 p.m. until the 7 p.m. funeral service Tuesday at the Deal-Robbins & Van Gilder Funeral Home, Huntington Chapel, 338 E. Washington St. Rev. James Bachman will officiate.
Burial will be at the Mt. Etna Cemetery, Mt. Etna.

Stephen Wojciechowski
Stephen Wojciechowski, 66, of 5061 NW Ind.-116, Markle, died at 1:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 25, 2000 at Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne.
Mr. Wojciechowski was a self-employed carpenter. He was a graduate of New Haven High School and an Air Force veteran. He was also a member of the National Rifle Association.
He was born on July 31, 1933, in Fort Wayne, to Joseph and Gladys Williams Wojciechowski.
Survivors include two sons, Gregory D. Wojciechowski, Little Rock, Calif., and Bradley C. Wojciechowski, Acton, Calif.; a daughter, Mrs. B. Keith (Stephanie) Eldridge, McAlaster, Okla.; two sisters, Mrs. Felix (Joan) Johnson and Mary Anne Greeno, both of Markle; and five grandchildren.
He also is survived by a companion, Robyn Weaver, Markle.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Stanley Wojciechowski and Max Wojciechowski.
Calling will be Monday from noon-2 p.m. at the Myers Funeral Home, Markle Chapel, 415 North Lee St., Markle, where services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday. B. Keith Eldridge will officiate at the services.
Burial will be at the Pilgrims Rest Cemetery, Huntington, where military graveside services will be held.
Ruth E. Raver
Ruth E. Raver, 88, Lima, Ohio, died at 11 p.m. Tuesday (Feb. 2, 2000) at the Lima Manor Nursing Home.
Mrs. Raver was the owner and president of Raver Real Estate Company, Lima, from 1961-82. Later, she was an associate broker with the McNamara Realty Company, Lima. She attended the Lima Baptist Temple. She was a member of the Lima Board of Realtors; Elks Lodge 54 Auxiliary, Lima; the Altrusa Club and the Chamber of Commerce, Lima; a former member of the board of directors of Child and Family Services, Lima; and past president of the Lima Business and Professional Women’s Club and the Lima Shrine Auxiliary.
She was born June 14, 1911, in Huntington to Price W. Foust and Margaret B. Shock Foust. She married Loren C. Raver, who died Dec. 4, 1973.
Survivors include a stepson, Judson Lorin Raver, Fort Wayne; a brother, Russell Foust, South Bend; and four stepgrandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a stepson, Paul Charles Raver; a sister, Mildred Reed; and two brothers, Wilber Foust and Dr. William Foust.
Calling will be from 1-2 p.m. Sunday at the Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home, 920 N. Cable Rd., Lima, Ohio.
Graveside services will be held at 4 p.m. Sunday at the Elmgrove Cemetery, Bluffton, with Rev. Ronald B. Cannon officiating.
Memorials may be made to the donor’s choice of charity.
Mearl E. Franks
Mearl Elizabeth Franks, 83, Columbia City, died Tuesday afternoon (Feb. 22, 2000) at Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne.
Mrs. Franks was a homemaker.
She was born Oct. 29, 1916, in Huntington County to Robert Johnson and Rita Sloan Johnson. She married Ray E. Franks on May 15, 1942, in Huntington; he died June 17, 1981.
Survivors include a son, Douglas E. Franks, Columbia City; a sister, Pauline Tumbleson, Huntington; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by an infant son, David Eugene Franks; a twin brother, Earl Johnson; a brother, Kenneth Johnson; and two sisters, Lelia Johnson and Berniece Smith.
Calling is from 6-9 p.m. Thursday at the Myers Funeral Home, Huntington Chapel, 2901 Guilford St., where services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday with Rev. Bill Stephens officiating.
Burial will be at Star of Hope Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the donor’s choice.
Hugh ‘Bud’ Fuller Sr.
Hugh “Bud” Franklin Fuller Sr., 66, rural Converse, died at 5:45 a.m. Tuesday (Feb. 22, 2000) at his home.
Mr. Fuller was retired from the Grant County Highway Department. He served in the Navy during the
Korean War and was a member of American Legion Post 160, Roanoke.
He was born March 22, 1933, in Marion, a son of Burt and Alice Fuller. He is survived by his wife, Mary A. Fuller. They were married Dec. 26, 1959, in Jeffersonville.
Additional survivors include two daughters, Alice Smith and Lynn Pence, both of Converse; four sons, Hugh Fuller Jr., Silver Lake, Buff Fuller, Amboy, Mike Fuller, Marion, and David Fuller, Marion; a sister, Barb Miller, Roann; two brothers, James Fuller, Silver Lake, and John Fuller, Sweetser; and 14 grandchildren.
A sister, Anna Bass, is deceased.
Calling is from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday and noon-1 p.m. Thursday at the Casey Lloyd Funeral Home, Riverwalk Chapel, 225 W. Spencer Ave., Marion. Services will be held at the funeral home at 1 p.m. Thursday. Rev. Tom Mansbarger will officiate.
Burial will be at Converse Cemetery.

Phillip T. Mullis
Phillip T. Mullis, 33, Marion, died at 7:20 a.m. Monday (Feb. 21, 2000) in a traffic accident at I-469 and Bluffton Road, Fort Wayne.
Mr. Mullis was employed as a truck driver for Pain Enterprises Inc., Marion, and had previously worked for Hiner Transport, Huntington, for six years. He graduated from Marion High School in 1984 and served in the Army from 1984 to 1993. He attended Westside Assembly of God, Marion.
He was born March 20, 1966, in Franklin, to James Richard and Deloris D. Chandler Mullis. His mother survives in Marion.
Additional survivors include a son, James R. Mullis, Brooklyn Park, Minn.; a brother, Paul Andrew Mullis, Marion; a sister, Vicky Lynn Pence, Winona Lake; three half-brothers, James Richard Mullis, Reynolds, Pete Mullis, Bloomington, and Roy Edward Mullis, Fort Leonard Wood, Mo.; and a half-sister, Deborah Ruth Boehning, Francesville.
Calling is from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Needham-Storey Funeral Service North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Ave., Marion, where services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday with Rev. Jerry Gallaway officiating.
Burial will be at Grant Memorial Park, Marion.
Juanita I. ‘Skeet’ Netzley
Juanita I. “Skeet” Netzley, 69, Big Lake, rural Columbia City, died at 2:50 p.m. Monday (Feb. 21, 2000) at Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne.
Mrs. Netzley retired from the Wal-Mart photo lab in Bentonville, Ark., in 1996, where she worked as a film processor for 10 years. She attended the Big Lake Church of God and was a member of the Matinee Strikers Bowling League and Playgirls Bowling League, all in Columbia City. She had moved to Big Lake from Arkansas three years ago.
She was born Aug. 27, 1930, in Mahon to Clifton McKinzie and Grace Pheister McKinzie. She married Raymond Netzley on Jan. 12, 1956, in Marion; he died Aug. 27, 1992.
Survivors include a son, Michael P. Young, Andrews; five daughters, Mrs. Edgar (Connie) Chaney and Mrs. Rex (Sandy) Wilfong, both of Huntington, Mrs. John (Carren) Yeley, Jacksonville, Texas, Mrs. Danny (Sharron) Lehnertz, Lillian, Texas, and Mrs. Darrell (Martha) Ross, Bentonville, Ark.; two brothers, Chris McKinzie, Atlanta, Mo., and Phillip McKinzie, Huntington; three sisters, Mrs. Art (Thelma) Searles, Andrews, Mrs. Ken (Erma) Duits, Gillman, Ill., and Mrs. Dale (Jeannette) Harris, Rogers, Ark.; 26 grandchildren and 34 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, Daniel Young; and two brothers, Ervin McKinzie and Eldon McKinzie.
Calling is from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Bailey-Love Mortuary, 35 W. Park Dr., where funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday with Pastor Greg Capsel officiating.
Burial will be at Glenwood Cemetery, Roanoke.

Agnes B. Kessler
Agnes Bernice Kessler, 87, Crooked Lake, rural Columbia City, died at 9:25 p.m. Sunday (Feb. 20, 2000) at The Oaks Living Center, rural Columbia City, where she had been a resident since Oct. 1, 1999.
Mrs. Kessler was a member of St. Paul of the Cross Catholic Church and Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary 5582, both of Columbia City, and the Crooked Lake Association.
She was born Jan. 22, 1913, in Huntington to Harvey Custard and Donna Gamble Custard. She graduated from St. Mary's School in Huntington. Following graduation, she worked for a doctor. She married Ralph Biddle in 1933. They lived in Indiana and Illinois and in 1953 they purchased a home at Crooked Lake, where they spent weekends and vacations. Mr. Biddle died in 1965. She married Savoy F. "Bud" Kessler in May 1967. They lived in Naples, Fla., for eight years, during which time Mrs. Kessler worked as a realtor. They moved to Crooked Lake in 1974 and raised dairy goats until Mr. Kessler's death Feb. 11, 1988.
There are no immediate survivors.
Calling is 3-6 p.m. Tuesday, with rosary service at 6 p.m., at the Smith and Sons Funeral Home, 207 N. Main St., Columbia City.
A funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, with calling one hour prior to the Mass, at St. Paul of the Cross Catholic Church, 315 S. Line St., Columbia City. Father Sextus Don will officiate.
Burial will be at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Huntington.
Preferred memorials are to the Whitley County Humane Society.
