Mina Doll
Mina Doll, 94, Sebring, Fla., died at 6:45 p.m. Oct. 3, 1999, at her home.
Mrs. Doll was an elementary school music teacher for 39 years. She was a member of the Central Christian Church in Huntington, and Bethel Holiness Church, Sebring. She was also a member of Order of Eastern Star 290, North Liberty, and Order of the White Shrine of Jerusalem.
She was born April 24, 1905, in Watseka, Ill., to Fred and Flora Miller Collier. She married Harry Doll in Walkerton. Her husband preceded her in death.
Surviving is a niece, Mrs. Dennis (Cynthia) Pressler, Huntington.
Two brothers, Mel Collier and Robert Collier, preceded her in death.
There will be no calling hours.
Graveside services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 16, with Rev. Cameron Douglas officiating.
Burial will be at the Mt. Hope Cemetery.
Hart Funeral Home, 715 N. Jefferson St., is in charge of arrangements.
Margaret Pollock
Margaret Pollock, 57, 113 E. Tipton St., died at 6:20 a.m. Monday (Oct. 11, 1999).
Margaret was born Feb. 22, 1942, in Clinton. Her adoptive parents were Joseph and Violet Pollock. She moved to Huntington in 1987.
There were no calling hours or services.
Cremation was held.

Vera C. Burkhart
Vera C. Burkhart, 87, formerly of 2513 Guilford St. and a 40-year resident of Clear Creek Township, died at 1:18 a.m. Sunday (March 5, 2000) at Miller’s Merry Manor.
Mrs. Burkhart was a homemaker and worked at E-Systems, Memcor Division for 15 years, retiring in 1973. She was a member of the Clear Creek Community Church.
She was born June 27, 1912, in Chicago to Gray Walker and Nora Overholt Walker. She married Willard E. Burkhart March 14, 1935, in Huntington. Her husband died May 30, 1973.
Survivors include two sons, Kenneth W. Burkhart and Gary L. Burkhart, both of Huntington; a daughter, Mrs. Larry (Linda) Mosher, Warsaw; eight grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Everett Walker; and three sisters, Gladys Strasser, Virginia Settlemyer and Adetha Allen.
Calling is 3-5 and 6-8 p.m. Monday at the Myers Funeral Home, Huntington Chapel, 2901 Guilford St.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Clear Creek Community Church, located at the intersection of Clear Creek Road and CR 750N, in northern Huntington County. Pastor Robert Gonser will officiate.
Burial will be at the Clear Creek Cemetery, Huntington County.

Gladys P. Hintze
Gladys P. Hintze, 92, East Stroudsburg, Pa., died Sunday morning (March 5, 2000) at her home.
Mrs. Hintze was a member of the Stroudsburg United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women. She was also a member of the Auxiliary of the Pocono Medical Center, the Monroe County (Pa.) Historical Society and the Women’s Club of the Stroudsburgs. She was included in the book, “Women Who Made History in Monroe County.”
She was born Jan. 1, 1908, in Huntington to John Pinkerton and Cora Housman Pinkerton. After graduating from Ball State University in Muncie in 1930, she taught school in Huntington for three years. She married C. Elwood Hintze in 1933 and they moved to Stroudsburg. Her husband preceded her in death in 1991.
Survivors include a son Richard Hintze, Tucker, Ga.; two daughters, Mary Jane Williams, Stow, Ohio, and Liz Reaser, Stroudsburg; two sisters, Wanda Haas, East Stroudsburg, and Thelma Brown, Pinehurst, N.C.; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Calling is from 7-8:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Thomas Funeral Home, 401 N. Fifth St., Stroudsburg, Pa., where funeral services will be held at noon Wednesday. Rev. George S. Rigby will officiate.
Burial will be at the Laurelwood Cemetery, Stroudsburg.

Lester Ray Inyart
Lester Ray Inyart, 80, Woodbury, Tenn., died Saturday (March 4, 2000) at the Middle Tennessee Medical Center, Murfreesboro, Tenn.
Mr. Inyart was a member of the Grace Assembly of God, Woodbury. He was a retired woodworker.
Mr. Inyart was born June 19, 1919, in Belle Plaine, Ill., to James Elmer Inyart and Stella Mae Smith Inyart.
Survivors include a son, Ron Inyart, Bradyville, Tenn.; three grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and a sister, Ethel Davidson, Lagro.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at the Woodbury Funeral Home, 504 W. Main St., Woodbury, Tenn., with Bro. James Carl Lassiter officiating. Burial will be at the Riverside Gardens Cemetery, Woodbury. Visitation will be from 2 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Nancy E. Juergens
Nancy E. Juergens, 61, 943 Poplar St., died at 7 p.m. Friday (March 3, 2000) at her home.
Mrs. Juergens was the co-owner and bookkeeper at Juergens Do-It-Center, Huntington. The Juergens family began the business 54 years ago, and she and her husband, George, bought the business in 1971, the third generation to own the firm. She is a member of the St. Peter Lutheran Church and the church’s choir, a member of MacDowell Music Club, South Side Business Association and a former member of the Huntington Toastmistress Club. She is a past secretary of the Zeta Chapter of Sigma Eta Fine Arts Sorority, and a past regent of Samuel Huntington Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution.
She was born on Oct. 12, 1938, in Fort Wayne, to Serge E. Cunningham and Florence Stiles Cunningham. On June 18, 1960, in Fort Wayne, she married George A. Juergens, who survives.
Other survivors include a son, Dan Juergens, Roanoke; a daughter, Mrs. Richard (Cheryl) Huffman, Huntington; five grandchildren; two brothers, Douglas Cunningham, Columbia City, and Larry Cunningham, Desten, Fla.; and a sister, Mrs. Pat Means, Ft. Myers, Fla.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Bruce Cunningham and Newell Cunningham.
Calling will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the Deal-Robbins & Van Gilder Funeral Home, 338 E. Washington St., and from 10 a.m. Tuesday until the 11 a.m. services at St. Peter Lutheran Church, 648 N. LaFontaine St. Rev. Allen Goebbert will officiate at the services.
Burial will be at the Pilgrims Rest Cemetery.

Glen W. Smith
Glen W. Smith, 80, Huntington, died at 11:27 p.m. Friday (March 3, 2000) at Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne.
Mr. Smith was a farmer in Union and Clear Creek townships. He was a charter member of the Northview Church of Christ, where he had served as an elder and a deacon. He was active with the Huntington County Horseshoe Club and participated in league play for 20 years.
He played the “bones,” a percussion musical instrument, for many years. He and his wife, Maxine, went several to area churches, schools, and nursing homes for performances.
Mr. Smith was born June 11, 1919, in Wells County, to Arthur E. Smith and Effie M. Hite Smith. He married Maxine Dolby March 14, 1942, in Andrews. His wife survives.
Also surviving are a son, Marvin G. Smith, Huntington; two daughters, Mrs. Don (Sharon) Bole, Hartford City, and Mrs. James (Kathy) Close, North Webster; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a brother, Jay Smith, Markle; and two sisters, Mrs. Garl (Hope) Worster, Huntington, and Mrs. Guy (Delight) Wiley, Huntington.
Two brothers, Leonard Smith and Vaughn Smith, and a sister, Helen Fusselman, preceded him in death.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Myers Funeral Home, Huntington Chapel, with Bill Warax officiating. Burial will be at the Markle Cemetery. Calling will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the Myers Funeral Home, Huntington Chapel.

Ruby L. Terrell
Ruby L. Terrell, 89, a resident of Northgate Healthcare, Marion, died at 6:09 p.m. Saturday (March 4, 2000) in Marion. She was formerly of Lagro Township, Wabash County.
She was a homemaker.
She was born Sept. 21, 1910, in Logansport to George Terrell and Eva Unger Terrell.
A brother, Clifford Terrell, Lagro, survives.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Clarence Terrell and Lawrence Terrell; and two sisters, Ruth Dunn and Maurine E. Ebert.
There will be no calling.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Lagro Cemetery, Wabash County, with Bill Cook officiating.
