91; of Sellersburg
Funeral services for Marguerite Brown, 91, of Sellersburg, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Jan. 7, at Canton United Methodist Church, with burial in Franklin Cemetery, Salem. She died Monday, Jan. 3, 2005 in Autumn Woods Health Campus, New Albany.
She was a former resident of Washington County and was a retired teacher with the Salem Community School System with 42 years service, retiring in 1976.
Survivors include a daughter, Marjo Smith and husband, John, Sellersburg; a son, David A. Brown and his wife, Jane, Chicago, Ill. and a grandson.
She was preceded in death by her husband, J. Gilbert Brown, who died Sept. 26, 1979.
Visitation at Dawalt Funeral Home, 204 East Market Street, Salem, will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 6, and after 9:30 a.m. Friday at Canton United Methodist Church.
Cecil Byrd
86; World War II veteran
Funeral services for Cecil Byrd, 86, of Clarksville, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Jan. 7, at Oak Street Chapel of Seabrook Dieckmann & Naville Funeral Homes, with burial in Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park. He died Tuesday, Jan. 4, 2005, at Clark Memorial Hospital.
He was a native of Green Mountain, N.C., a retired carpenter with 65 years service and an Army veteran of World War II. He was a 50 year member of DePauw Masonic Lodge 338.
Survivors include his wife, the former Anna W. White; two sons, Ralph L. Byrd and his wife, Vicki, Sellersburg and Bruce A. Byrd, Clarksville and a grandson, Travis R. Byrd.
Visitation at the funeral home will be after 9:30 a.m. Friday.
Daniel Ray Densford
45; construction worker
Graveside services for Daniel Ray Densford, 45, of Jeffersonville, will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 6, at Eastern Cemetery. He died Monday, Jan. 3, 2005, at Jewish Hospital in Louisville.
He was a native of Jeffersonville and a construciton worker.
Survivors include three daughters, Tina Atkins, Pekin, Tera Densford, Charlestown and Tessa Densford, Charlestown; a son, Nathan Densford, Charlestown; five sisters, Norma Suddeth, Jeffersonville, Brenda Lloyd, Tell City, Denise Noria, Shelbyville, Ky., Sandy Cummings, Topeka, Kan., Pam Mendez, Charlestown and Wanda Jenkins, Jeffersonville; four brothrs, Ralph Densford, Jeffersonville, Melvin Brown, Louisville, Monty Densford and Dwayne Densford, Jeffersonville; and one grandson.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Nancy Wyman and a brother, Frank E. Densford, Jr.

Kenneth R. Schulz
52; of Sellersburg
Funeral services for Kenneth R. Schulz, 52, of Sellersburg, will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 6, at Scott Funeral Home's North Chapel, with burial in Walnut Ridge Cemetery. He died Sunday, January 2, 2005, at his home.
He was a native of Jeffersonville, a machinist for Falls City Machine Technology, a member of the Sons of the American Legion, Squadron 35 and a 1971 graduate of Jeffersonville High School.
He is survived by his wife, the former Brenda Mills; a daughter, Stacy King and husband, Michael, Sellersburg; two granddaughters, Nichole and Lorilei King and a grandson, Clayton King, all of Sellersburg; a sister, Shirley Adkinson and her husband Bill, Jacksonville, Fla.; two brothers, David Schulz and wife Sharon, Lanesville and Robert Schulz and wife Rita, Jeffersonville.
He is preceded in death by his parents, George N. and Lillian Dornbush Shulz.
Visiting at the funeral home will be from 1 to 8 p.m. today, Wednesday, Jan. 5, and after 11 a.m. Thursday.
The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to Hospice of Southern Indiana or the American Cancer Society.
Paula A. East
51; employed by Visiting Nurses Association
Funeral services for Paula A. East, 51, of New Albany, will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 6, at Kraft Funeral Service, Spring Street Chapel, with burial in Edwardsville Cemetery. She died Monday, Jan. 3, 2005, at Norton Hospital, Louisville.
She was an employee of Visiting Nurses Association, Louisville and a very active committee member with her work.
Survivors include two sons, John East Jr., Sellersburg and Alan Gilmore, Floyds Knobs; two daughters, Christa Hall and Stephanie Callaway, Marysville; four brothers, James Sturgeon, Greenville, Gary Sturgeon, Decatur, Texas, Donnie Gill, Leopold and Michael Sturgeon, New Albany; two sisters, Trena Andrews, Augusta, Ga. and Penny England, Lebanon, Tenn. and nine grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Delores Gill.
Visitation at the funeral home will be from 3 to 8 p.m. today, Wednesday, Jan. 5 and after 9 a.m. Thursday.

Lenore A. Fischer
83; homemaker
A memorial services for Lenore A. Fischer, 83, of Jeffersonville, will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 5, at the First Presbyterian Church, Jeffersonville. She died Sunday, Jan. 2, 2005.
She was a native of Des Moines, Iowa, a homemaker and a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Jeffersonville. She was also a member of Jeffersonville Elks Club and Wooded View and Phi Beta Psi Sorority. She was a volunteer for Clark Memorial Hospital for more than 10 years.
Survivors include a son, Mike Fischer, Jeffersonville; a daughter, Janet Fischer Ritzwoller and husband, Doug, McKinney, Texas; two sisters, Esta Cheely, Des Moines, Iowa and Elaine Jenkins, Bloomington, N.M. and four grandchildren, Steve and Cari Fischer and Michael Grant and William David Ritzwoller.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John E. Fischer and parents, John and Pauline Tompores.
Scott Funeral Homes, North Chapel, is in charge of arrangements. The body was cremated.

Mark D. McCormick
44; of New Albany
Funeral services for Mark D. McCormick, 44, of New Albany, will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 6, at Market Street Chapel of Seabrook Dieckmann & Naville Funeral Homes, with burial in Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park. He died Sunday, Jan. 2, 2005, at his home.
He was employed by the Salvation Army in the maintenance department and was a member of the Salvation Army and president of the Men's Fellowship.
Survivors include his wife, Cynthia M. McCowan McCormick; two sons, Mark A. and Jerry M. McCormick; a daughter, Elizabeth A. McCormick; mother, LaVada McCormick, New Albany; sister, Roxanne Haley, Greenville; nine brothers, Scott, Steven, David, Danny, Timmy, Jimmy and Wade McCormick, all of New Albany, Ralph McCormick, MacClenny, Fla. and Jeff McCormick, Jeffersonville.
Visitation at the funeral home will be from noon to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 5.

Frances 'Frank' K. Hubbard
90; of Salem
Funeral services for Frances "Frankie" K. Hubbard, 90, of Salem, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 6, at Weathers Funeral Home, 106 South Shelby Street, Salem, with burial in Crown Hill Cemetery. She died Monday, Jan. 3, 2005, at Meadow View Health Care Center in Salem.
She was born Jan. 13, 1914 in Clark County, the daughter of David and Annetta Dickey Rockey. She was retired from Sears Catalog Sales and a member of Salem Church of Christ.
Survivors include three daughters, Henrietta Connor, New Albany, Marietta Gruesbeck, Salem and Wendi L. Hubbard, New Albany; a sister, Martha Cravens, Chesterfield, Mo. and four grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry H. Hubbard in 1990; her parents, David and Annetta Dickey Rockey; her foster parents, Cecil Nale and Eva Nale Stanley; two sisters, Carrie Wade and Josephine Alexander and two brothers, Leroy and Hubert Rockey.
Visitation at the funeral home will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 5 and after 8 a.m. until time of service Thursday, Jan. 6.
