Margaret 'Maggie' Carlisle
81; retired nurse
Funeral services for Margaret "Maggie" Carlisle, 81, of Sellersburg, will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 8, at Garr Funeral Home, Sellersburg, with burial in Sellersburg Cemetery. She died Saturday, Dec. 4, 2004, at Sumner Medical Center, Gallitan, Tenn.
She was a member of the Sellersburg Church of Christ, retired LPN from Clark Memorial Hospital and a member of the National LPN Association.
Survivors include her husband, James L. Carlisle; two daughters, Elizabeth Miller and husband, John and Betty Pape and husband, Fred; stepchildren, Joseph Carlisle and wife, Patricia and Joyce Hodges and husband, Rick; brother, Homer R. Adams; sister, Elma Catherine Cook; seven grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by James L. Carlisle Jr. and Rudy Carlisle.
Visitation at the funeral home will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 7.
The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to Sellersburg Church of Christ.
Marvin Elmer Kemp
54; of Nabb
Funeral services for Marvin Elmer Kemp, 54, of Nabb, will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 7, at Grayson Funeral Home, New Washington, with burial in Barnes Cemetery, Nabb. He died Friday, Dec. 3, 2004, at Clark Memorial Hospital.
He was a native of Scottsburg and a body shop technician at National Distributors in Sellersburg.
Survivors include his wife, Nancy Vonch Kemp; a daughter, Tonja Brading and husband, Tim, Marysville; a brother, Earl Kemp and wife, Judy, New Washington; his mother, Mabel Kemp Allen, Nabb; mother-in-law, Pat Vonch, Nabb; half sister, Geraldine Maddox, Madison; four brother-in-laws; three sister-in-laws and two grandsons, Matthew and Kyle Brading, Marysville.
He was preceded in death by his father, Elmer A. Kemp; stepfather, Clifton Allen, father-in-law, Bud Vonch and a half sister, Claireen Collins.
Visitation at the funeral home will be from 3 to 9 p.m. today, Monday, Dec. 6 and after 8 a.m. Tuesday.
Georgia Louise Ross
83; of Charlestown
Funeral services for Georgia Louise Ross, 83, of Charlestown, were held at 11 a.m. this morning, Monday, Dec. 6, at R. D. Pyke Funeral Service, Henryville, with burial in Silver Creek Cemetery, Sellersburg. She died Friday, Dec. 3, 2004, at Lutheran Community Home, Seymour.
She was a native of Floyd County and a retired employee of ICI America, Charlestown. She was a member of Speed Memorial Church, Sellersburg.
Survivors include two daughters, Betty Carter, Seymour and Sonja Zheim, Charlestown; a son, Charles Ross Jr. and wife, Karen, Charlestown; a brother, Vernand "Fred" Burr, Sellersburg; 10 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Ross Sr.; a daughter, Marcella Boom and her parents, Bill and Florence Tevis Burr.
Visitation was Sunday at the funeral home.
Anita Rainbolt Zurschmiede
63; Corydon native
Funeral services for Anita Rainbolt Zurschmiede, 63, of New Albany, will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 7 at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Road, New Albany, with burial in Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park. She died Saturday, Dec. 4, 2004 at Clark Memorial Hospital, Jeffersonville as the result of complications from a stroke.
She was born and raised in Corydon, resided in New Albany and spent the winter months in Bradenton, Fla. She was a loving wife and mother who enjoyed gardening, crossword puzzles, watching Jeopardy and playing games. Having suffered from various ailments throughout her life, she always faced her challenges with bravery and courage. She was extremely proud of her children and grandchildren and their accomplishments.
Survivors include her husband, William "Bill" Zurschmiede, New Albany; a son, Kevin W. Zurschmiede and wife, Beverly, New Albany; a daughter, Kelly Zurschmiede (J. Brian) Brown M.D., New Albany; her mother, Virgie Rainbolt Smith, Corydon; two brothers, R. Darrell Rainbolt, Corydon and Ronald D. Rainbolt, Leopold and grandchildren, Ashley M. Brown, Allison A. Brown, Julia Beth Brown, Kristine H. Kasey and Nathaniel R. Depoyster.
Visitation at the funeral home will be held from 2 to 8 p.m. today, Monday, Dec. 6.
Rev. Raymond J. Jackson Jr.
80; Army veteran
Funeral services for Rev. Raymond M. Jackson Jr., 80, of Elizabeth, will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 8 at Faith Assembly Church, with burial in Rogers Campground Cemetery, Elizabeth. He died Saturday at Jewish Hospital.
He was a native of Borden, founder and minister of Faith Assembly Church in Jeffersonville for the past 50 years and was a World War II Army veteran.
He is survived by his wife the former Opal Faye Funk; a son, David Jackson, Elizabeth; four daughters, Ramona Barber, Arlene Marshall, Naomi Elliss and Lois Shaw, all of Elizabeth; 11 grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond W. Jackson and Esther Iona Martin Jackson.
Visiting will be at Scott Funeral Home's North Chapel will be from 3 to 8 p.m. today, Monday, Dec. 6 and Tuesday from 3 to 8 p.m.
Estal Mae Morgan
68; or Corydon
Funeral services for Estal Mae Morgan, 68, of Corydon, were held at 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 6 at Gehlbach & Royse Funeral Home, Corydon, with burial in Oak Grove Cemetery
near Corydon. She died Friday, Dec. 3, 2004 at the her son's home near Corydon.
She was a former secretary for M&M Construction in New Albany and was the retired manager of the Corydon Capitol Apartments.
Survivors include a son, Ricky Reed, Corydon; two daughters, Debbie Herthel, Marengo and Lisa Watt, Central; a sister, Wanda Dockstander, Boone, Iowa.; a brother, James McKim, Mauckport; six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Visitation at the funeral home was Sunday and after 8 a.m. this morning.

Aaron Armstrong
94; of Clarksville
Aaron A. Armstrong, 94, of Clarksville, died Tuesday, Nov. 30, 2004.
He was a native of Prather, a retired credit manager for Henry Vogt Machine Co., and a member of Morton Memorial United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Naomi Armstrong; a son, Dr. John C. Armstrong, Edinboro, Pa.; a daughter, Betty Ann Neighbors, Harrodsburg, Ky.; a brother, Roscoe Armstrong, Clarksville; three grandsons, Brent Armstrong, Caton, Oh., Lt. Kyle Armstrong, Atlantic City, N.J. and Shayne Martin, Lawrenceburg, Ky.; and two granddaughters, Tara Prather, Lexington and Denis Brannon, Heathrow, Fla.
Visitation and funeral services will be private. Scott Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Forrest Faith Coots
88; formerly of Charlestown
Forrest Faith Coots, 88, formerly of Charlestown, died Sunday, Nov. 28, 2004, in Naples, Fla.
He was a native of Shelbyville, Ky. and a member of the First United Methodist Church. He was a former officer at the old First Bank of Charlestown, a former Charlestown Township Trustee, former co-owner of the old Coots-Hill Department Store and the old Coots Realty Service. He was a former member of the Charlestown Lions Club and Blazing Star Masonic Lodge #226.
Survivors include his wife, Alberta Coots; two sons, Dana Coots, Charlestown and James Coots, Shelbyville, Ky.; six grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
There will be no visitation but a memorial service will be held at a later date. Grayson Funeral Home in Charlestown is in charge of arrangements.
Alberta Frances Davis
89; former Floyd Memorial Hosptial employee
Graveside services for Alberta Frances Davis, 89, of Jeffersonville, will be at 10 a.m. Friday, Dec. 3, at Fairview Cemetery
in New Albany. She died Wednesday, Dec. 1, 2004.
She was a native of New Albany and a former administrator at Floyd Memorial Hospital and Health Services.
Survivors include a son, Ernest Davis and his wife, Shirley, Jeffersonville; a sister, Agnes Varble, Jeffersonville and a granddaughter, Elizabeth Davis, Jeffersonville.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Former Army Master Sgt. Edward F. Davis.
There will be no visitation. Coots Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
