Funeral services for Morton Owens, 79, of New Albany, will be at noon Saturday, Oct. 30, at Generations Funeral Home, 3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany, with burial in Swayback Cemetery
in Salem. He died Friday, Oct. 22, 2004.
He was a sheet metal worker for Alcan Aluminum Co. in Louisville, an avid antique dealer and collector and a Master Mason in Jeffersonville Lodge F&AM 340.
Survivors include two sons, Mark S. Owen and wife Sherry and Phillip R. Owens and wife Brenda; three grandchildren; his companion Jean Little and his caregiver Earl Coleman.
He was preceded in death by his son Jeffrey Owens.
Visitation at the funeral home will be from 2 to 8 p.m. on Oct. 29, and from 10 a.m. to noon on Oct. 30.
The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to the American Diabetes. Association.

Funeral services for Ollie Mae Frakes, 88, of Mauckport, will be held at 11 a.m. EDT Tuesday, Oct. 26, at the Gehlbach-Royse Funeral Home in Corydon, with burial in the Central Cemetery. She died Sunday, Oct. 24, 2004, at the Heritage House in Salem,.
Visitation at the funeral home will be from 4 to 9 p.m. EDT today, Monday, Oct. 25 and after 9 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 26.
Agnes L. Rupp
71; of Corydon
Funeral services for Agnes L. Rupp, 71, of Corydon, will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 26, at the Gehlbach and Royse Funeral Home in Corydon, with burial later at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Jacksonville, Fla. She died Wednesday, Oct. 20, 2004, at the Robert E. Lee Care Center in New Albany.
She was born in Leavenworth on Jan. 29, 1933 the daughter of Roy K. and Mary Esther Shaffer Byerly. She was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Jacksonville, Fla.
Survivors include her three sons, Barry Rupp, Ocean Springs, Miss., Michael Rupp, Sudan, Africa and Bradley Rupp, Willow Springs, N.C.; a brother, Keith Charles Byerley of Algonac, Mich.; a sister, Mary Quebbeman, Lanesville and 12 grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Keith C. Rupp and three sisters, Margaret White, Ruth Harritt and Verdeen Harmon.
Visitation at the funeral home will be from noon to 2 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 26.
Blondine Snider
61; of Crandall
Funeral services for Blondine Snider, 61, of Crandall, were held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 24, at Swarens Funeral Home in Ramsey, with burial in Bethlehem Cemetery
in Crandall. She died Friday, Oct. 22, 2004.
Survivors include her husband, Larry W. Snider.
Visitation at the funeral home was after 9 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 24.
The family requests that memorial contributions go to the Cancer Care Center of New Albany or St. Jude Children's Hospital.
Arthur L. 'Skip' Curry
79; Army veteran
Funeral services for Arthur L. "Skip" Curry, 70, of Austin, formerly of New Albany, will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 27, at Wallace Funeral Home, Cloverport, Ky., with burial in Cloverport Cemetery. He died Saturday, Oct. 23, 2004, at Veterans Hospital, Louisville.
He was a native of Jeffersonville and a former resident of New Albany. He was an Army veteran of the
Korean War and a member of Cherry Street Church of Christ and Disabled American Veterans of New Albany. He was retired from Robert's & Stracks Veneer, Clarksville and also worked for Pinkerton and Moore Security Guard Service.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Coney Curry; a son, Jason Curry and wife, Michelle, New Albany; three daughters, Mary Renee Greenwell and husband, Mike, New Albany and Sherry Cullen and Karen Curry, Austin; three brothers, Robert, Ronald and Duffy Curry, all of New Albany; a sister, Garrie Marie McCowan, New Albany; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his father, Arthur W. Curry and mother, Loraine E. Stevens.
Visitation at Pyke-Calloway Funeral Home, Mullineaux Chapel, New Albany, will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today, Monday, Oct. 25 and at Wallace Funeral Home, Cloverport, Ky., from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday.
Pyke Calloway Funeral Service, Mullineaux Chapel, 1217 East Spring St., New Albany, is in charge of local arrangements.

William F. 'Bill' Ferguson
62; a Kentucky Colonel
Funeral services for William F. "Bill" Ferguson, 62, of Louisville, will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 26, at Neurath & Underwood Funeral Home, 725 E. Market St., Louisville, with burial in Resthaven Memorial Park, Louisville. He died Saturday, Oct. 23, 2004, at Veterans Medical Center, Louisville.
He was a self-employed auto mechanic for over 40 years, a Kentucky Colonel and a member of American Bowling Congress, having four 300 games.
Survivors include his children, William "Bill" Ferguson Jr., Jeffersonville, Amanda Ferguson, Kim Stoneberger and husband, Greg, Jeffersonville and Amber Ferguson; a brother, Samuel "Sonny" Ferguson; sisters, Nina Hicks and Vickie Gaines; a granddaughter, Madison Stoneberger; his stepmother, Norma Lee Giddens; nieces and nephews and a multitude of loving friends.
He was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Sierra Holland.
Visitation at the funeral home will be from 2 to 8 p.m. today, Monday, Oct. 25 and after 9 a.m. Tuesday.

Funeral services for Mildred Louis "Mickey" Cooper, 83, of Jeffersonville, will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Oct. 22 at St. Louis Bertrand Catholic Church, 1104 S. 6th St., Louisville, with burial in Resthaven Memorial Park. She died Wednesday, Oct. 20, 2004 at Medical Center of Southern Indiana, Charlestown.
She was a resident of Jeffersonville, a native of Louisville and the former Mildred Carmody. She was a retired employee of Lorillard Tobacco Company and a member of St. Bertrand Catholic Church in Louisville.
Survivors include a son, Terry (Deborah) Cooper, Clarksville; a sister, Thelma Busch, Shelbyville, Ky.; two grandchildren, Melissa (Matt) McCullough and Greg Cooper; and two great-grandchildren, Sarah and Elizabeth McCullough.
Visitation at Highlands Family-Owned Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Road, Louisville, will be held from 1 to 8 p.m. today, Thursday, Oct. 21.

Holland Isler, 72, of Jeffersonville, died Tuesday, Oct. 19 at Hillcrest Center.
Cremation was chosen. Chapman Funeral Home, Clarksville, was in charge of arrangements.
Nelson L. Goss
81; World War II veteran
Funeral services for Nelson L. Goss, 81, of New Albany, will be at 10 a.m. Monday, Oct. 25, at Holy Family Catholic Church in New Albany with burial in Holy Trinity Catholic Cemetery. He died Wednesday, Oct. 20, 2004, at Providence Retirement Home.
He was a retired Union Steward for International Harvester and an Army veteran of World War II. He was born in Palmyra on Nov. 25, 1922, the son of the late Wilbur and Estella Goss.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Wilma M. Goss; a brother, Melvin Goss; and a son-in-law, Darryl Gartrell.
Survivors include two daughters, Debra Gartrell and Vickie Jones and her husband, Brad; a son, Glenn Goss; two sisters, Mary Elizabeth Buckel and Ruby Austin; four grandsons and one granddaughter.
Visitation at the funeral home will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 24 at Generations Funeral Home, 3309 Ballard Lane in New Albany. A prayer service will be at 6 p.m. Sunday.
