95; former owner of August Barth Leather Company
Funeral services for Elizabeth 'Bebe' Barth Cody, 95, of New Albany, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 9, at St. John United Presbyterian Church with burial in Fairview Cemetery, both in New Albany. She died Wednesday, Oct. 6, 2004, at her home.
She was born in New Albany on November 17, 1908, to the late Oscar C. and Helen (Krebs) Barth. Mrs. Cody was a 1926 graduate of New Albany High School, a 1932 graduate of Wellesley College in Wellesley, Mass., and one of the former owners of the old August Barth Leather Comany in New Albany. SHe was a member of the Floyd County Historical Society, Amaranth Literary Club, Tr Kappa Philanthropic Sorority and a life-long member of St. John U nited Presbyterian Church iN New Albany.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John A. Cody, Jr.; two sisters, Stuart Barth Wrege and Jane Barth Anderson.
Survivors include her son, J. Terrence Cody and his wife, Peggy, New Albany; two grandsons, Shane A. and Patrick T. Cody, both of New Albany; two nieces, Lucy Kerr and her husband, Ned, Nampa, Idaho and Mary Krebs and her husband, Leonard, of Sellersburg; two great nieces; two great nephews; two great-great nephews; and a great-great niece.
Visitation at Generations Funeral Home in New Albany, will be from 2 to 8 p.m. today, Friday, Oct. 8
The family requests expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to the Carnegie Center for Art and History, the Stuart Barth Wrege Indiana History Room at the New Albany Floyd County Public Library or Bridgepointe Goodwill Easter Seals.
Charles L. Elliott
69; served in the Air Force
Funeral services for Charles L. Elliott, 69, of New Albany, will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 9, at Generations Funeral Home, 3309 Ballard Ln., New Albany, with burial in Andrews, South Carolina. He died Wednesday, Oct. 6, 2004, at Floyd Memorial Hospital and Health Services.
He served in both the U.S. Army National Guard of South Carolina and the United States Air Force. He worked at The Pillsbury Company for 36 years and was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3281, New Albany and the Pentacostal Holiness Church in Andrews, S.C.
Survivors include his wife, Janet Backherms Hasch Elliott, New Albany; stepchildren, Cynthia Yancey, Juanita Smith, Beverly Gillespie and husband, Roger, Deborah Minotti, Patricia Gillespie and husband, John, JoAnne Banks and husband, Buddy, Robert Hasch and wife, Joanne and Deanna Simms and husband, Kerry; brothers, Theron and Wayne Elliott; a sister, Maxine Marshall and several grand and great-grandchildren.
Visitation at the funeral home will be from 3 to 8 p.m. today, Friday, Oct. 8.

Mary A. Striegel
57; registered nurse
Funeral services for Mary A. Plummer Striegel, 57, of Floyd Knobs, will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Oct. 11, at the Generations Funeral Home, 3309 Ballard Ln., New Albany, with entombment in Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park. She died Wednesday, Oct. 6, 2004, at Floyd Memorial Hospital and Health Services.
She worked as a registered nurse at Floyd Memorial Hospital and Health Services and was the worship leader and associate pastor at Cornerstone Community Church, Floyd Knobs.
Survivors include her husband of 39 years, Richard G. Striegel; two sons, Timothy Striegel and wife, Tish and Samuel Striegel and wife, Stephanie; a daughter, Rebecca McKinley and husband, John; a sister, Hettie Crafton; a brother, Paul Lockwood and six grandchildren.
Visitation at the funeral home will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 9 and noon to 8 p.m. Sunday.
Ralph Anthony Molinari
67; of Clarksville
Ralph Anthony Molinari, 67, of Clarksville, died Saturday, Sept. 18, 2004, at Wedgewood Healthcare, Clarksville.
The body was cremated with a memorial service to be held at a later date.

Funeral services for Mable Lauren Roarx, 65, of Sellersburg, will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Oct. 8, at Garr Funeral Home in Sellersburg, with burial in the Sellersburg Cemetery. She died Wednesday, Oct. 6, 2004, at Floyd Memorial Hospital and Health Services, New Albany.
She was a housewife and a member of Ladies Auxiliary, American Legion Post 204.
Survivors include her son, Duane Magnuson, Jeffersonville; half brothers, Floyd Perdue Jr. and Blackburn Myers; stepsisters, Thelma Harris, Jean Green, Mary Degonia and two grandsons, Taylor and Payton Magnuson.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles "Bobby" Roarx.
Visitation at the funeral home will be from 2 to 8 p.m. today, Thursday, Oct. 7, and after 10 a.m. Friday, Oct. 8.

Charles L. Elliott, 69, of New Albany, died Wednesday, Oct. 6, 2004, at Floyd Memorial Hospital and Health Services.

Joseph A. Stamm
80; loving husband, father
and grandfather
Funeral services for Joseph A. Stamm, 80, of Fort Wayne, Ind., will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 8, at Our Lady of Good Hope Catholic Church, 7215 St. Joe Road, Ft. Wayne with burial in the church cemetery. He died Monday, Oct. 4, 2004, at his residence.
He was a native of Bradford, Ind. and a senior staff engineer with North American Phillips Electronics having retired in 1987. He was a Navy veteran of World War II. He was also a member of Our Lady of Good Hope Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus Council 451/4th degree and Fort Wayne Senior Golf League. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather.
Survivors include his wife, Henrietta K. Stamm; daughters, Christy Motley and husband, Philip, Spencerville, Ind., Susan K. Stamm, Ft. Wayne and Linda L. Brenish and husband, Larry, Fountain, Colo.; grandchildren, Matthew, David, Melissa and Brian Motley and Stephan and Suzanne Brenish; and a sister, Mary Beatrice Stamm, New Albany.
Visitation at Hockemeyer and Miller Funeral Home, 6131 St. Joe Rd., Ft. Wayne, will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. today, Thursday, Oct. 7, and after 10 a.m. Friday, Oct. 8. A rosary will be recited at 3:30 p.m. today, Thursday, Oct. 7.

Funeral services for Leora E. Melton, 87, of New Middletown, will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 9, at the Gehlbach and Royse Funeral Home in Corydon, with burial in the Salem United Church of Christ Cemetery
in New Middletown. She died Wednesday, Oct. 6, 2004, at University of Louisville Hospital.
She was born on Dec. 7, 1916, the daughter of Henry and Louisa Weis Eisenmenger. She was a graduate of Indiana University, Bloomington, with a bachelor of science and masters of science degree in Elementary Education. She was a retired teacher with the South Harrison School Corporation, having taught the first grade at New Middletown Elementary School for 29 years. She was a member of the Salem United Church of Christ in New Middletown.
Survivors include her son, William Melton and wife, Sherry, Hendersonville, Tenn.; six daughters, Carole Olsen, Vienna, Va., Karen Troutman and Joyce Spaulding and husband, Johnny, all of Corydon, Denise Harmon and husband, Roy, Depauw, Penny Fessel and husband, Harold, New Middletown and Marilyn Wiggam and husband, Dwight, Dublin, Ohio; a stepson, Clarence Melton, Elizabeth; a brother, Arthur Eisenmenger, New Albany; eight grandchildren, Craig and Eddie Allen, Nicole and Robin Olsen, Jennifer and William Fessel, Tim and Leah Harmon; two great-grandchildren, Jacob and Natalie Allen; and several stepgrandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Denzil.
Visitation at the funeral home will be from 6 to 9 p.m. today, Thursday, Oct. 7, from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday, Oct. 8 and after 8 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 9.

Funeral services for Melissa Moore Kelly, 91, of Elmhurst, Ill., formerly of Louisville, will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 9, at St. Louis Bertrand Catholic Church, 1104 South Sixth Street, Louisville, with burial in Holy Trinity Cemetery
in New Albany. She died Monday, Oct. 4, 2004, in Elmhurst, Ill.
She was born in New Albany to Anderson and Mary Agnes Moore. She graduated from Presentation Academy and the old St. Joseph Infirmary nursing program. Before retiring, she worked for Drs. Pedigo, Grider, Mowry and Hornaday. She was a member of the Queen's Daughters, St. Mary's Catholic Church in New Albany and St. Louis Bertrand Catholic Church in Louisville.
Survivors include her daughter, Kevin K. Kramer, Elmhurst, Ill.; granddaughters, Elizabeth Ann Kramer, Jeffersonville and Melissa K. Plaiss and husband, Michael, Elmhurst, Ill.; a great-grandson, Anderson Plaiss; a nephew, Martin Hailey and wife, Yvonne, Jeffersonville; nieces, Nancy Anne Weber, San Marino, Calif. and Julia Gatterer, Covington, Ky.; and her dear friend and cousin, Susan Abbott, New Albany.
She was preceded in death by her brothers, Lyons, James, Paul and Robert Moore; and a sister, Patricia Hailey Gatterer.
Visitation at Highlands Family-Owned Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Road, Louisville, will be from 2 to 4:30 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 8.
