Dorothy Bell Clemons
73; native of Bedford, Ky.
Funeral services for Dorothy Bell Clemons, 73, of Louisville, will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 26, at Chapman Funeral Home in Clarksville. She died Monday, Aug. 23, 2004, at Regency Healthcare.
She was a native of Bedford, Ky., and a member of Maple Grove Baptist Church.
Survivors include a son, John Richard Luttrell, Terre Haute; two daughters, Teresa Mae Gordon, Jeffersonville and Caroline Sue McGaha, Louisville; two stepsons, Chuck and Bruce Clemons, both of Jeffersonville; a brother, Cecil Aldridge, St. Louis, Mo.; eight grandchildren and four great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, Willian Howard Luttrell; and two husbands, Howard Luttrell and David Clemons.
Visitation at the funeral home will be from noon to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 25.
Edwin Gaines McCart
Funeral services for Edwin Gaines McCart, 80, of Jeffersonville, will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 25, at Scott Funeral Home, North Chapel, with interment in Walnut Ridge Mausoleum. He died Saturday, Aug. 21, 2004.
He was a native of Newton County, Ga. and a retired facility manager for Atlantic Reality Company in Atlanta, Ga. He was a volunteer for the American Red Cross in Georgia, a volunteer for the Clark County Sheriff's office and attended Parkwood Southern Baptist Church, Clarksville. He and his wife were married for 63 years.
Survivors include his wife, Mildred McCart; a son, Miles McCart, Clarksville; three daughters, Joan Miles, Cumming, Ga., Joyce Saliba, Loganville, Ga., and Miriam Stagg, Douglasville, Ga.; 10 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, Jerry G. McCart.
Visitation at the funeral home will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 24.
The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to Parkwood Southern Baptist Church, Clarksville or a favorite charity.
Dorothy B. Spooner
80; of Jeffersonville
Funeral services for Dorothy B. Spooner, 80, of Jeffersonville, will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 24, at Gilt Edge Baptist Church, Jeffersonville, with burial in Walnut Ridge Cemetery. She died Saturday, Aug. 21, 2004.
She was a retired employee of General Motors Company.
Survivors include a son, Ronald E. Wilkerson; a daughter, Aqueelah S. Haleem; two brothers, James N. Jr. and Richard E. Bell; a sister, Cara B. Lewis; three grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Visitation at the funeral home will be from 6 to p.m. today, Monday, Aug. 23, at A.D. Porter & Sons Funeral Home, Louisville.
Edward C. Colin
84; of New Albany
Funeral services for Edward C. Colin, 84, of New Albany, were held at 10 a.m. this morning, Monday, Aug. 23, at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, with entombment in Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park. He died Friday, Aug. 20, 2004, at Westminster Healthcare Center in Clarksville.
He was a native of New Albany and retired after 44 years as pubic relations manager at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park. He was also a former part owner of Memorial Park and Sunset Park, both in Evansville, and Roselawn Memorial Garden in Henderson, Ky. He was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church and was preceded in death by his wife, Alice Davis Colin.
Survivors include three daughters, Robin Hipps, New Albany, Rebecca Leibman, Centennial, Colo., and Donna Southard, Alt Loma, Calif.; five grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Visitation was Sunday, Aug. 22, at Kraft Funeral Home, 708 E. Spring Street, New Albany.

Thomas John Lucas
77; Army veteran
Funeral services for Thomas John Lucas, 77, of New Albany, will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 25, at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Rd., New Albany, with cremation to follow. He died Saturday, Aug. 21, 2004, at Clark Memorial Hospital.
He was a native of Patterson, New Jersey and presently an assistant district manager at the Louisville Courier Journal. He had retired as a bartender in the Louisville area for some 30 years and was an Army veteran.
Survivors include his wife, the former Rosemary Skaggs; two sons, John Lucas, Shepherdsville, Ky. and Donnie Cushing, Portland, Oregon; a daughter, Renee Breuer, Portland, Oregon; grandchildren, Robbie and Katie Lucas and Jamie and Anna Breuer; three stepsons, Tim and Mark Long, Louisville and Matt Long, Greenville and two stepdaughters, Teresa Nall, New Albany and Susie Hunt, Clarksville.
Visitation at the funeral home will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 24 and after 11 a.m. Wednesday.

Larry M. Singleton
51; of New Albany
Funeral services for Larry M. Singleton, 51, of New Albany, were held Saturday at Kraft Funeral Home with entombment in Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park. He died Friday, Aug. 20, 2004, at Floyd Memorial Hospital and Health Services.
He was a native of New Albany and a former truck driver at Kentuckiana Trucking in Jeffersonville.
Survivors include a son, Michael L. Singleton, Calif.; two daughters, Karrie L. Ellis, Paoli and Cylina Wilson, New Albany; his mother, Viola Singleton, New Albany; his sister, Reva Glass, New Albany and three grandchildren, Sadie B. Kesterson, Chelsea Wilson and Tabitha Wilson.

Wayne Irvin Mathes
83; of Corydon
Funeral services for Wayne Irvin Mathes, 83, of Corydon, will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 24, at the Old Capital United Methodist Church in Corydon. There will be a Masonic service Monday, Aug. 23, at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home, Corydon. He died Friday, Aug. 20, 2004, at Harrison County Hospital.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. today, Aug. 22, and 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday, Aug. 23, at the funeral home, and after 9 a.m. at the church.
Dorothy H. Kerstetter
81; of Sellersburg
Funeral services for Dorothy H. Kerstetter, the former Dorothy Byrne Hayden, 81, of Sellersburg, will be held at 11:30 a.m. Monday, Oct. 11, at Holy Family Catholic Church, New Albany, with entombment in Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park. She died Wednesday, Oct. 6, 2004.
She was the daughter of Joshua B. and Mary Byrne Hagen Hayden. She was a native of Owensboro, Ky., retired from Sears in Louisville and was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church, New Albany.
Survivors include her husband, Clayton Kerstetter; granddaughters, Sarah Roberts and husband, Matt and Anastacia Babbitt; nine great-grandchildren, Brittany, Gabriel, Jessica and husband, Jeremy, Ryan, Dakotah, Abby, Olivia, Parker and Sammy Joe; one great-great-grandson; a brother, John W. Hayden and wife, Louise, Owensboro, Ky., two sisters, Rita Secor and Barbara O'Bryan and husband, William, Louisville and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Sharon Marie Ashton and grandson, F. Joseph Babbitt Jr.
Visitation at Kraft Funeral Service, Charlestown Road Chapel, will be from noon to 8 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 10. A prayer service will be held at 6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Garland E. Taflinger
85; retired statistician
A graveside service for Garland E. Taflinger, 85, of Jeffersonville, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 9, at Walnut Ridge Cemetery. He died Thursday, Oct. 7, 2004, at his home.
He was a native of Jeffersonville and a retired statistician for the old Bourbon Stockyards in Louisville.
Survivors include his brother, Clifford "Bud" Taflinger and his wife, Jeanne, Jeffersonville; a sister-in-law, Mary L. Taflinger, Madison; and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Frances Taflinger; his parents, Delbert A. and Della H. Taflinger; a brother, Warren A. Taflinger; and a brother-in-law, Bud Ell.
There will be no visitation. Coots funeral home is in charge of arrangements.
