Walter 'Cliff' Redmon
80; a Kentucky Colonel
Funeral services for Walter "Cliff" Redmon, 80, of Louisville, will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 26, at Arch L. Heady & Son Funeral Home, 1201 E. Oak St., Louisville, with burial in Resthaven Memorial Park. He died Monday, Aug. 23, 2004, at Hospice & Palliative Care of Louisville's inpatient unit at Norton Audubon Hospital.
He was retired from the appliance repair department of the Huber-Herrick Co. and a Kentucky Colonel.
Survivors include a daughter, Rebecca Walker, Ariz.; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Visitation at the funeral home will be from 2 to 8 p.m. today, Wednesday, Aug. 25.
The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to Hospice & Palliative Care of Louisville.
Evelyn Louise Bush
77; 1944 JHS graduate
Funeral services for Evelyn Louise Bush, 77, of Valrico, Fla., will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 27, at St. Augustine Catholic Church, Jeffersonville, with burial in Walnut Ridge Cemetery. She died Monday, Aug. 23, 2004.
She was a native of Owensburg and worked for the New Albany Tribune in the 1940s. She was a graduate of Jeffersonville High School's class of 1944 and attended Indiana University in Bloomington. She was also a member of the Nativity Catholic Church in Valrico, Fla.
Survivors include her three sons, Michael Bush Jr., Louisville, Chris Bush, Tampa, Fla., and Tim Bush, Miami Beach, Fla.; three granddaughters, Jennifer Bush, Louisville, Amy Bradley, Las Cruces, N.M. and Nicole Bush, Tampa, Fla.; a great-grandson, Cody Bradley, Las Cruces, N.M. and a great-granddaughter, Isabelle Bradley, Las Cruces, N.M.
She and her husband, Michael Bush Sr., who preceded her in death, were married in 1947. She was also preceded in death by her father, George Hobert Fields and her mother, Minnie Elizabeth Fields.
Visitation at Scott Funeral Homes, North Chapel, will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 26.
Edith C. Grantz
73; of Starlight
Funeral services for Edith C. Grantz, 73, of Starlight, will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 25, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church of Starlight, with burial in the church cemetery. She died Sunday, Aug. 22, 2004, at Hospice of Louisville.
She was a lifetime member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Starlight.
Survivors include her husband, Maurice "Sonny" Grantz, Jr.; six daughters, Debby Young and her husband, Les, Patty Davis and her husband, James, Kathy "Tuddy" Lee and her husband, Tom, Barbie Andres and her husband, Mark, and Theresa Edwards and her husband, Ray; three sisters, Viola "Sis" Eckert, Charlotte Wilson and Evelyn Hodges; two brothers, Ed Missie and Roy Missi; 16 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Wilfred Missi, and a sister, Ruth Missi.
Visitation at Generations Funeral Home in New Albany, will be from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. today, Tuesday, Aug. 24. There will be a Rosary service at 7:30 p.m.
The family requests expressions of sympathy in her memory take the form of contributions to Hospice and Palliative Care of Southern Indiana or The Brown Cancer Research Center.
Anna McGhee
84; member of Bethel AME Church
Funeral services for Anna McGhee, 84, will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 25, at Bethel AME Church, 200 W. Park Place in Jeffersonville, with burial in Eastern Cemetery. She died Saturday, Aug. 21, 2004, at her home.
She was a member of Bethel AME Church where she served on the trustee board, the choir, the missionary board and the finance committee.
Survivors include her son, Robert McGhee III; a sister, Cora L. Wilson, Virginia; four grandsons, Paul, Robert IV, Tony and Mark; a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and devoted relatives an friends.
Visitation at the church will be from 6 to 9 p.m. today, Tuesday, Aug. 24.

Ernest L. Sandlin
87; World War II veteran
Funeral services for Ernest L. Sandlin, 87, of Jeffersonville, will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 26, at Coots Funeral Home with burial in Walnut Ridge Cemetery. He died Monday, Aug. 23, 2004, at his home.
He was a native of Buckhorn, Ky., an Army veteran of World War II and was retired from the old Indiana Army Ammunition Plant in Charlestown. He was a member of American Legion Post 35 and VFW Post 1832, both of Jeffersonville, and a member of the former Green Thumb organization.
Survivors include a sister, Allene Gross, Portland, Tenn.; a niece and nephew, Sherry L. Peyton and Justin K. Peyton Sr., who cared for him; and other nieces and nephews.
Visitation at the funeral home will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 25.
Roy Gregory Wolfe
54; custom wood worker
Funeral services for Roy Gregory Wolfe, 54, of Charlestown, will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 25, at Grayson Funeral Home in Charlestown. He died Sunday, Aug. 22, 2004, at the Medical Center of Southern Indiana.
He was a native of Scottsburg and a custom wood worker.
Survivors include his wife, the former Ruth Hayes; a son, Roy W. Wolfe II; his mother, Joyce Wolfe; and a sister, Tammy Lemmons, all of Charlestown.
Visitation at the funeral home will be from 2 to 9 p.m. today, Tuesday, Aug. 24, and after 9 a.m. Wednesday.

Janet L. Woodruff
62; member of Wal Street UMC
A memorial service for Janet L. Woodruff, 62, of Clarksvile will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 25, at Kraft Funeral Home, 708 E. Spring St. in New Albany.
She was a native of Poplar Bluff, Miss., a retired teacher and librarian and a member of Wall Street United Methodist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Oscar Harris.
The body has been cremated with burial at Covington Memorial Gardens in Fort Wayne. She died Monday, Aug. 23, 2004, at her home.
Kenneth G. Beckum
69; retired from General Electric
Funeral services for Kenneth G. Beckum, 69, of Jeffersonville, will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 25, at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Rd. in New Albany, with burial in Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park. He died Sunday, Aug. 22, 2004, at Clark Memorial Hospital.
Survivors include his wife, Lou Ann Hubbard Beckham; a son, Kenny Beckum, Louisville; a daughter, Peggy Diehl, Louisville; a brother, Jerry Beckum, Louisville; a stepson, Wayne Hubbard, Floyds Knobs; two stepdaughters, Barbara Ehrsam, Floyd Knobs and Kay Levan, Seymour; and six grandchildren.
Visitation at the funeral home will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today, Tuesday, Aug. 24, and after 9 a.m. Wednesday.

Nora Etta Baird Schnieders
80; former seamstress
Funeral services for Nora Etta Baird Schnieders, 80, of New Albany, will be at 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 27, at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in New Albany, with burial in Kraft Graceland Memorial Park. She died Saturday, Aug. 21, 2004, at Lincoln Hills Health Center in New Albany.
She was a seamstress at Seinscheimer's and was also employed at Hart's Fireplace and Floyd Memorial Hospital in New Albany.
Survivors include two daughters, Susan Johnson and her husband, Richard, and Linda Banker and her husband, Dan; a son, Gary Schnieders; six grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Visitation at Generations Funeral Home in New Albany will be from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 25. There will be a prayer service at 3 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
