Lillian Mildred Sprong
age 86; of Clarksville
Lillian Mildred Sprong, 86, of Clarksville, died Sunday, Dec. 21, 2003, at Riverview Village, Clarksville.
She was a native of Branson, Mo., and a retired instructor-enrollment director for Beauty College. She was a member of Wall Street United Methodist Church and Jeffersonville Chapter, Order of Eastern Star.
Survivors include a daughter, Judelynn D. Coomes, Clarksville; two sons, Stanley J. Botto, Calif., and Larry D. Sprong, Clarksville; a sister, Doris Vanable, El Cajon, Calif.; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lester I. Sprong and parents, Pearl Johnson and Dorothy Hickum.
No visitation or funeral service will be held.
Coots Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Adrienne Leigh Kochert
age 28; Providence High School graduate
A funeral Mass for Adrienne Leigh Kochert, 28, of New Albany, will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 27, at Holy Family Catholic Church, with burial in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery, New Albany. She died Monday, Dec. 22, 2003, at Floyd Memorial Hospital and Health Services.
She was the daughter of Gene and Barbara (Jackson) Kochert, born Sept. 15, 1975, in Louisville. She was a 1994 graduate of Our Lady of Providence High School and a member of Holy Family Catholic Church in New Albany.
Survivors include her parents, Gene and Barbara Kochert, New Albany; three sisters, Amy C. Quinn and her husband, Tom and Allison R. Schuler and her husband, Terry, all of New Albany and Amanda J. Jehl and her husband, J.R., Columbus, Ohio; grandparents, Maurice and Lucille Kochert, New Albany; nieces and nephews, Damian and Daniel Schuler, Tori, Riley and Kayce Quinn and "Baby Bug" Jehl; 12 aunts and uncles and 19 cousins.
She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Mary "Ya Ya" Jackson.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 26, at Generations Funeral Home, 3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany. There will be a prayer service at 6 p.m. Friday, Dec. 26, at the funeral home.
The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to Our Lady of Providence High School.
Martin L. Moser
age 89; former owner, M.L. Moser & Sons Plumbing and Heating
Funeral services for Martin L. Moser, 89, of New Albany, will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 27, at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, with burial in St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery
in Milltown. He died Tuesday, Dec. 23, 2003, at Lincoln Hills Health Center, New Albany.
He was the former owner of M.L. Moser & Sons Plumbing and Heating, Inc. and was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, New Albany.
Survivors include his wife, Juel Moser; his children, James Moser and his wife, Kathy, Randall Moser and his wife, Mandy, Mary Wallace and Thomas Moser, all of New Albany, Linda Hagan and husband, Jim, Crittenden, Ky., Ruth Ann Hutchinson and husband, James, Spring Lake, N.C., Janet Whitlatch and husband, Carl, Sugarland, Texas, Larry Moser and wife, Brenda, Marysville; stepdaughter, Vickie Ross and husband, Ken, Winston-Salem, N.C.; sister, Teresa Cox, Marengo; a brother, Clarence Moser, Greenwood; 14 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Alice Vernia Moser.
Visitation at Generations Funeral Home, 3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany, will be from 1 to 8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 26.

Marie K. Brown
age 79; homemaker
Funeral services for Marie K. Brown, 79, of Salem, will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 27, at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Salem, with burial in Crown Hill Cemetery, Salem. She died Monday, Dec. 22, 2003, at Heritage House of Salem.
She was born April 6, 1924, in Starlight the daughter of the late Clarence J. and Cleonora (Lambert) Vernia. She was a homemaker, a self-employed housekeeper and a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Salem.
Survivors include her three sons, Howard Tommy Brown Jr., Bobby Brown and Stephen L. Brown, all of Salem; four sisters, Anita Jones, Clarksville, Martha Eicher, New Albany, Jeanette Voyles, Galena and Clarice Conrad, Sellersburg; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Thomas Brown Sr. and her parents.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 26, at Dawalt Funeral Home, 204 E. Market St., Salem.
Russell A. McDonald
age 78; World War II veteran
Funeral services for Russell A. McDonald, 78, of Louisville, were held Friday, Dec. 19, at Pearson Ratterman Bros. Funeral Home, 12900 Shelbyville Road, Louisville, with burial in Cave Hill Cemetery. He died Monday, Dec. 15, 2003, at his home.
He was an Army veteran of World War II, a retired incoming inspection manager for General Electric and a graduate of Manual High School and the University of Louisville.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Bill E. McDonald.
Survivors include his wife, the former Vivian Noon, formerly of Jeffersonville; two daughters, Marcia Paasch and her husband, Mike and Denise Gould and her husband, Scott and five grandchildren, Brad, Shannon and Lauren Paasch and Olivia and Jenny Gould.
The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to Hospice of Louisville or Manual High School Alumni Association.
Michael J. Seiler
age Navy veteran
Michael J. Seiler, Longwood, Fla., died Tuesday, Dec. 16, 2003, at his home after a long illness.
He was a member of Holy Trinity Parish and graduated from New Albany High School in 1964. He was a 10 year Navy veteran and worked in the past for General Electric and A.T.T. He graduated from the University of Central Florida and went on to earn a master's degree in Business Administration. He will be greatly missed.
Survivors include his wife, Eva Seiler; children, Michael Jr., Linda, Tiki and Rika; a sister, Bonnie and grandchildren, Dylan, Jesse, Tyler, Sam and Sara.
Funeral arrangements are private.
Virginia W. Harris
age 82; of Sellersburg
Funeral services for Virginia W. Harris, 82, Sellersburg, were held at 1 p.m. today, Monday, Jan. 5, at Garr Funeral Home, Sellersburg, with interment following in the Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park. She died Thursday, Jan. 1, 2004, in Sebring, Fla.
Visitation was from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. today at the funeral home.
William F. 'Bill' Hochadel
age 85; World War II veteran
Funeral services for William F. "Bill" Hochadel, 85, of Jeffersonville, were held at 10 a.m. this morning, Monday, Jan. 5, at St. Augustine Catholic Church, with burial in Queen of Heaven Cemetery. He died Thursday, Jan. 1, 2004, at Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Louisville.
He was a native of Jeffersonville, an Army veteran of World War II and retired maintenance man for St. Augustine Catholic Church. He was associated with the Center of Lay Ministries Inc., Jeffersonville and a lifetime and honored member of the Knights of Columbus Council 1348.
Survivors include two daughters, Regina M. Hochadel, Jeffersonville, and Beth Ann Gilmour, St. Cloud, Fla., and a grandson.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Doris Hochadel.
Visitation was Sunday at Coots Funeral Home.

Dale Kindred
age 74; retired, University of Louisville
Funeral services for Dale Kindred, 74, of Charlestown, will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 7, at Grayson Funeral Home, Charlestown, with burial in Charlestown Cemetery. He died Friday, Jan. 2, 2004, at Jewish Hospital, Louisville.
He was born in Heltonville and was a retired purchasing director for the University of Louisville.
Survivors include his wife, the former Margaret Coley; a daughter and son-in-law, Pat and Ron Casey, Jeffersonville; a granddaughter, Sara E. Casey, Jeffersonville and his mother, Blanche Kindred, Charlestown.
Visitation at the funeral home will be from 4 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 6, with a Masonic service at 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
