Funeral services for Charles E. Robinson, 50, of New Albany, will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 1, at the Paul V. Shrader Funeral Home, 1715 E. Oak St., with burial in Fairview Cemetery. He died Tuesday, Nov. 25, 2003, at Floyd Memorial Hospital and Health Services.
He was a native of Huntingburg and a former employee of the Old Hoosier Panel Co.
Survivors include three sons, Charles Robinson Jr., Kenneth Robinson and Timothy Robinson, all of New Albany; a daughter, Christine Swift, New Albany; four brothers, Carl Pierson, James Pierson, Joseph Pierson and Samuel Pierson, all of Sullivan, Ind.; four sisters, Margaret Robinson, Jeffersonville, and Lorraine Robinson, Alice Pierson and Betty Pierson, of Sullivan and four grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 1 to 6 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 30, at the funeral home.
Anna Eva Russell
age of New Albany
Funeral services for Anna Eva Russell, of New Albany, will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 29, at Saint Mary's Roman Catholic Church, 8th and Spring Streets, New Albany, with burial in Saint Mary's Catholic Cemetery
in New Albany. She died Monday, Nov. 24, 2003, at Park Manor Health Care Center in Clarksville.
She was a native of Gethsemani, Ky., a former employee of American Health of Louisville and a member of Saint Mary's Roman Catholic Church in New Albany.
Survivors include her husband, Lawrence Russell; a sister, Clara Gibson; a brother, Calbert Weathers; three nieces, Miss Evelyn Weathers, Mrs. Dorothy Diggs and Mrs. Virginia Hickerson; four nephews, Ronald Weathers, Anthony Weathers, Johnny Weathers and Larry Weathers; and many relatives and friends.
Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Friday, Nov. 28, at Jones Memorial AME Zion Church, 258 Ealy St., New Albany.
Pauline Allen
76; retired custodian for GCCS schools
Funeral services for Gertrude Pauline Allen, 76 of Jeffersonville, will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 30 at Gill Chapel in Washington, Ind. with burial in Sugarland Memory Gardens.
Visitation at Gill Funeral Home, 308 E. Walnut Street in Washington, will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. today, Monday, Dec. 29.
Helen Louise Cherry
age 61; member of Church on the Rock
Funeral services for Helen Louise Cherry, 61, of Marysville, will be held at 2:30 p.m. today, Monday, Dec. 29 at Grayson Funeral Home in New Washington with burial in Crown Hill Cemetery. She died Friday, Dec. 26, 2003 at her home.
She was a native of Jeffersonville, a homemaker, a member of Church on the Rock in New Albany and Cowboys for Christ in Hardensburg.
Survivors include her husband, Garland E. Cherry, Jr.; a son, Chuck Cherry, New Washington; two daughters, Cathy Cope, Marysville and Chris Parkhill, New Washington; three brothers, Don Dobson, North Canton, Oh., Doug Dobson, Jeffersonville and Mike Dobson, Athens, Ala.; six sisters, Marilyn Colwell, Sellersburg, Louise Richardson, Louisville, Ann Elizabeth Lynch, Jeffersonville, Marie Bowman, Santa Rosa, Cal., Beth Tungate, Athens, Tenn., and Margie Carr, Jeffersonville; and five grandsons.
Visitation at the funeral home was held today at Grayson Funeral Home.
Kayla L. Colvin
20; of Jeffersonville
Funeral services for Kayla L. Colvin, 20, of Jeffersonville, will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 30 at Coots Funeral Home with burial in Utica Cemetery. She died Saturday, Dec. 27, 2003 in a house fire.
She was a native of Utica and a homemaker.
Survivors include her grandparents, Vanessa J. and David G. Deutsch, Jeffersonville and Augusta S. and Kelly Colvin, Utica; a brother, Ronnie W. Deutsch, Jeffersonville; a sister, Samantha J. Deutsch, Jeffersonville; two half sisters, Mary Wilkins and Candice Colvin, both of Jeffersonville; her great grandparents, David E. and Patty M. Ferree, Utica; a great grandmother, Betty Colvin, Utica; and two great great grandmothers, Dorothy Ferree, Utica and Elizabeth Nifong, Clarksville.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Gus D. Colvin.
Visitation at the funeral home will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today, Monday, Dec. 29.

Funeral services for Charles Lee Cumberworth, 53, of Jeffersonville, were held yesterday, Sunday, Dec. 28 at Grayson Funeral Home in New Washington with burial in Crown Hill Cemetery. He died Wednesday, Dec. 24, 2003 at Clark Memorial Hospital.
He was a native of Seymour and a retired employee of Louisville Gas and Electric.
Survivors include a daughter, Betty Jo Greenwell, New Washington; two brothers, Richard Allan Cumberworth, Rushville and Roger Rea Cumberworth, Butlerville; a sister, Rebecca Jeanne Sanders, North Vernon; his father, Merlin C. Cumberworth, Butlerville; a granddaughter, Katharyn Ann Greenwell; and several nieces and nephews.
Fern Edwards
age 78; of Marysville
A graveside service for Fern Edwards, 78, of Marysville, was held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 28, at the Emmanuel Cemetery. She died Thursday, Dec. 25, 2003, at the Medical Center of Southern Indiana.
She was a native of Clark County, a homemaker and a member of Otisco United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James S. Edwards and a great granddaughter, Heather Henson.
Survivors include her sons and their spouses, Larry and Louise Edwards, Charlestown and Donald and Sandra Edwards, Columbus; one daughter and her husband, Elaine and James Stidham, Scottsburg; a brother, Donald Peveler, Austin; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Funeral services for Martha A. Ferree, 73, of Utica, will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, Dec. 30, at Coots Funeral Home with burial in Utica Cemetery. She died Saturday, Dec. 27, 2003 at Clark Memorial Hospital.
She was a native of Utica, a loving mother and a member of Resurrection Life Church.
Survivors include three daughters, Mary Jo Wheatey and her husband, Butch, Utica, Annie L. Myters, Utica, and Norma Magruder, Jeffersonville; a brother, John Lewis, Jeffersonville; two sisters, Mary Thomas, Jeffersonville and Catherine Underwood, Clarksville; three grandsons, Michael Myers, Butch Wheatley and Chris Wheatley; and three great grandsons.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles A. Ferree.

Herbert Monroe Steepro
age 86; WWII veteran
Funeral services for Herbert Monroe Steepro, 86, of Charlestown, will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 30 at Grayson Funeral Home in Charlestown with burial in Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park in New Albany. He died Friday, Dec. 26, 2003 at Jewish Hospital in Louisville.
He was an Army veteran of World War II, a retired supervisor at the Quartermaster Depot in Jeffersonville and a member of the Nazarene Church in Jeffersonville. He was also a member of the VFW and the Sivler Creek Beagle Club. He served as commissioner of the Housing Authority in Charlestown for 14 years.
Survivors include his wife, Olive Lane Steepro; a daughter, Shirley Gill, Charlestown; and two grandchildren, Billy Gill and Kristie Gill, both of Charlestown.
Visitation at the funeral home will be from 3 to 9 p.m. today, Monday, Dec. 29 and after 9 a.m. Tuesday.
