Funeral services for Bette C. Zimmerman, 68, of New Albany, will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Sept. 20, at the Oak Street Chapel of Seabrook Dieckmann & Naville Funeral Homes, with burial in Fairview Cemetery. She died Wednesday, Sept. 15, 2004, at Floyd Memorial Hospital and Health Services.
She was the former Bette C. Cuzzort, a former employee of Floyd Memorial Hospital and Health Services, a former registered nurse for Dr. John Paris and retired from Dr. Liliana Torres-Popp. She was a 1954 graduate of New Albany High School and a graduate of the 1957 Norton School of Nursing. She was a member of DePauw Memorial United Methodist Church, New Albany.
Survivors include her husband, Horace D. Zimmerman; a daughter, Mimi Murphy, Clarksville; two sisters, Mary E. Clipp and Jeannine Cuzzort, both of New Albany; and stepchildren, Robert Zimmerman and Barbara Lamb.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Clyde C. and Irene Stalcup Cuzzort.
Visitation at the funeral home will be from 1:30 to 6 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 19.
The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to The National Multiple Sclerosis Society.
E. Tom Hamilton
62; of Clarksville
Funeral services for E. Tom Hamilton, 62, of Clarksville, will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 18, at Coots Funeral Home, with burial in Walnut Ridge Cemetery. He died Wednesday, Sept. 15, 2004, at Jewish Hospital, Louisville.
He was a native of Carrollton, Ky. and a retired chemical worker for Rohm & Haas Company, Louisville.
Survivors include his wife, Sandra K. Hamilton; two daughters, Lisa K. Fisher and her husband, Bart, Jeffersonville and Tracey M. Hamilton, Charlestown and her finance, Price Viers, New Albany; his father, Hubert J. Hamilton, Sellersburg; brother, James Hamilton, Georgetown; two sisters, Joyce Terrell, Borden and Jean Curtsinger, Jeffersonville; grandsons, Erik and Jack Fisher and his mother-in-law, Juanita Early, Jeffersonville.
Visitation at the funeral home will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today, Friday, Sept. 17 and after 9 a.m. Saturday.
Irvin Leo Barmore
85; World War II veteran
Funeral services for Irvin Leo Barmore, 85, of Floyds Knobs, will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 18, at the Market Street Chapel of Seabrook Dieckmann & Naville Funeral Homes, with burial in Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park. He died Wednesday, Sept. 15, 2004.
He was retired from E. I. Dupont in Louisville and was a farmer. He was a member of the Calvary Christian Church and the Scottsville Christian Church and was an Army veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife of 64 years, the former Freda Larberg; a daughter, Claudia Ettel, New Albany; two sons, Gary Barmore, Floyds Knobs and Aaron Barmore, Louisville; seven grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and six step great-grandchildren.
Visitation at the funeral home will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today, Friday, Sept. 17.

Barbara Dixon
58; retired telephone operator
Funeral services for Barbara Dixon, 58, of Mitchell, will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 18, at Ferguson-Fee Funeral Home, Bedford, with burial in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery
in Bedford. She died Wednesday, Sept. 15, 2004, at her home.
She was a native of Lawrence County and retired from AT &T in 1997 with more than 31 years service as a telephone operator. She attended the Church of Jesus Christ in Mitchell and was of the Christian faith.
Survivors include her husband, Larry Dean Dixon; a son, Aaron K. Dixon, Mitchell; a sister, Reva Hudson, Bedford and a brother, Roger "Dale" Ikerd, Bedford.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles "Bud" and Eva Fish Ikerd.
Visitation at the funeral home, 515 18th St., Bedford, will be from 3 to 8 p.m. today, Friday, Sept. 17.
Elmer Ray Baugh
92; Army veteran
Funeral services for Elmer Ray Baugh, 92, of Jeffersonville, will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Sept. 17, at Scott Funeral Homes, Main Street Chapel, with burial in New Chapel Cemetery. He died Tuesday, Sept. 14, 2004.
He was a native of Indianapolis, an Army veteran and a member of Resurrection Life Church, Jeffersonville. He was a retired custodian for Gateway and also retired from Kroelher Manufacturing, Louisville.
Survivors include two sons, William Baugh, Sellersburg and Gerald Baugh, Clarksville; four daughters, Sarah Shelton, Alma Jean Hammond, Rena Richie and Anna Hall, Jeffersonville; 17 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Visitation at the funeral home will be from 2 to 8 p.m. today, Thursday, Sept. 16 and after 9 a.m. Friday.

Peggy Berry
72; of Clarksville
Funeral services for Peggy Berry, 72, of Clarksville, will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Sept. 17, at Garr Funeral Home, Sellersburg, with burial in Sellersburg Cemetery. She died Tuesday, Sept. 14, 2004, at her home.
Survivors include two sons, Norman Bruce Cline and his wife, Mindy, Memphis, and Greg Berry and his wife, Robin, Mauckport; a daughter, Dorenda Kochert and her husband, Mike, New Albany; a brother, Phillip Marcum, Denver, Colo.; nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Visitation at the funeral home will be from 2 to 8 p.m. today, Thursday, Sept. 16, and after noon on Friday.

William J. Dobson Sr.
75; Army veteran
William J. Dobson Sr., 75, of Jeffersonville, died Wednesday, Sept. 15, 2004.
He was a native of Louisville, an Army veteran of the
Korean War and a retired switchman for Norfolk and Southern Railroad.
Survivors include his wife, Ramona Dobson; three sons, William J. Dobson Jr., Jeffersonville, Craig Dobson, Louisville and Richard Dobson, New Albany; a daughter, Lisa Dobson, Jeffersonville and four grandchildren, Ben, Christopher, Allison and Stephen.
The body was cremated with Scott Funeral Homes, North Chapel, in charge of arrangements. No funeral service will be held.

Catherine 'Lynn' Waters Higdon Evans
64; Census Bureau retiree
Funeral services for Catherine "Lynn" Waters Higdon Evans, 64, of Charlestown, will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Sept. 17, at Grayson Funeral Home, New Washington, with burial in Crown Hill Cemetery. She died Tuesday, Sept. 14, 2004, at University of Louisville Hospital.
She was a native of Clark County, a retired clerk for the U.S. Census Bureau and a member of Community Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include her husband, James R. Evans; a son, Greg Higdon, Hanover; three stepsons, Chris Evans, Massillon, Ohio, Jayme R. Evans, Port Charlotte, Fla., and Patrick H. Evans, Elizabeth; a daughter, Shelia Speigelhalder, New Washington; stepdaughter, Sharon Ritter, Jeffersonville; brother, Joe Waters, Bryan, Texas; sister, Rosemary Noble, Gainesville, Ga.; 12 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Mary Annette Waters.
Visitation at the funeral home will be from noon to 9 p.m. today, Thursday, Sept. 16 and after 9 a.m. Friday.

Ralph J. McDaris
74; of Jeffersonville
Funeral services for Ralph J. McDaris, 74, of Jeffersonville, will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 19, at Ivy Hill Baptist Church, Underwood, with burial in Ivy Hill Cemetery. He died Monday, Sept. 13, 2004.
He was a preacher, father and friend. A devout man of God, he saw the good in many and the redemption of all.
Survivors include his wife, Sophia Harper McDaris; a daughter, Jacqueline Turner, Jeffersonville; granddaughters, Elizabeth Ryan, Indianapolis and Michelle Oppelt, Jeffersonville; great-grandson, Aidan Baker, Jeffersonville and a brother, John H. McDaris.
Visitation at Grayson Funeral Home, Charlestown, will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 18, and at the church after noon Sunday.
