Funeral services for Hazel M. Brown, 97, of Corydon, were held Sunday at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home, Corydon, with burial in the Cedar Hill Cemetery, Corydon.
She died Thursday, Feb. 13, 2003, at Indiana Creek Health and Rehabilitation Center in Corydon.
William L. Ward
age 61; of Corydon
Funeral services for William L. Ward, 61, of Corydon, will be held at 6:30 p.m. this evening, Monday, Feb. 17, at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home, Corydon. He died Saturday, Feb. 15, 2003 at Harrison County Hospital.
Visitation at the funeral home began at 10 a.m. this morning.
Wilma E. Gleitz
age 89; of Corydon
Funeral services for Wilma E. Gleitz, 89, will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 20 at Gehlbach & Royse Corydon Funeral Home, with burial in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Corydon. She died Sunday, Feb. 16, 2003 at Harrison County Hospital.
She was a retired school teacher in Corydon and Harrison County for 41 years and a member of Old Capitol United Methodist Church, the Indiana Retired Teacher's Association, the National Retired Teacher's Association, a charter member of Delta Kappa Gamma Society and the Nu Associate Chapter of Phi Beta Psi Sorority.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Oscar Gleitz; and her parents, Herschel and Mary Graves Eaton.
Survivors include a stepson, Jay Gleitz, Newark, Del.; a stepdaughter, Betty Windell, Jeffersonville; her companion, Darlene Hendrich, Corydon; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Visitation at the funeral home will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 18, 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 19 and after 8 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 20.
The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to Old Capitol United Methodist Church, Corydon.

age 91; WWII Army veteran
Funeral services for Ernest L. Schechter, 91, of Clarksville, were held at 1 p.m. today, Monday, June 2, at Scott Funeral Home, North Chapel, with burial in Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park. He died Friday, May 30. 2003, at Clark Memorial Hospital.
He was a retired security employee for DuPont Olin Mathison/ICI Americas, Charlestown, former post commander of Post 204 in Sellersburg, a worthy patron of Eastern Star in Sellersburg, a 32nd degree Mason and a member of Buckner Masonic Lodge, Sellersburg. He was also a member of Scottish Rite of Indianapolis and an Army veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Elaine Schechter; a son, Michael Schechter, Jeffersonville; a daughter, Patricia Stone, Jeffersonville; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held Sunday at the funeral home.
The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to Crusade For Children of Clark County Humane Society.
Scott James Taylor
age 47, of Clarksville
Funeral services for Scott James Taylor, 47, of Clarksville, will be held at 6 p.m. Tuesday, June 3, at Coots Funeral Home, Jeffersonville, with cremation to follow. He died Friday, May 30, 2003 at his home.
He was an employee of Jerry's Restaurant in Clarksville.
Survivors include his beloved friend, Donna Kind, Clarksville; his mother, Betsy Taylor, Louisville; a brother, Mickey Taylor, Louisville and three sisters, Terry Faulkner, Jeffersonville, Tracy Caswell, Louisville, and Becky Beardsley, New Albany.
Visitation at the funeral home will be held from 2 p.m. until service time Tuesday, June 3.

Victoria (Vicki Powell) R. Davidson, of Greenville, died Thursday, May 29, 2003 at Floyd Memorial Hospital and Health Services in New Albany.
She was a native of Louisville and a welder.
Survivors include two daughters, Jessica and Melissa Lucas, New Albany; her mother, Wilma Powell, Greenville; two brothers, Brian Powell, Fredericksburg and Jim Powell, Louisville and a sister, Darien Cox, Martinsburg.
Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. today, Monday, June 2 at Love Funeral Home in Palmyra.
There will be no funeral service.

age 71; of Georgetown

He was a native of Clarksville, a welder at Jeffboat, an Army veteran, a member of Bonnie Sloan Post of the American Legion and attended Grace Lutheran Church.
Survivors include his wife, Phyllis Webb, New Albany; two daughters, Shannon L. Carter, New Albany, and Pam Razor, Corydon; a son, Jamie Green, Lanesville; two brothers, Bill Webb, South Carolina, and Tim Webb, Tell City; four sisters, Maurice Briscoe, Jeffersonville, Violet Simmon, Sellersburg, Barbara Cocke, Lanesville, and Mary Lamb, Tennessee; and five grandchildren.

at 1:30 p.m. Monday, June 2. She died Wednesday, May 28, 2003 at her home.
She was a native of Nelson County, Ky.
Survivors include five sons, David Absher, Vine Grove, Ky., Cecil and Mark Absher, Pekin, Omer Absher, Louisville and William Garland, New Albany; two daughters, Doris Rutherford and Brenda Taylor, Pekin; a sister, Nancy Ackridge, Louisville; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held Sunday at the funeral home.
