REO, Ind. - Gary G. Guisewhite of Reo died Friday, March 18, 2005, at his home.
Gary was born in Newton, N.J., on Jan. 5, 1949. He was the owner of Carquest Auto Parts Store in Tell City, Ind.
Surviving are his wife of 24 years, Carol Guisewhite; a son, Colt Guisewhite of Rockport, Ind; a daughter, Arlene Erich of Maceo; four grandchildren, Kirk, Abby, Samuel and Clara Erich.
Graveside services 11 a.m. today at Mount Zion cemetery in Richland, Ind., with the Rev. John Hilbert officiating. Boultinghouse Funeral Home in Rockport is handling the arrangements.

John D. Roberts Sr.

NEW ALBANY, Ind. - John D. Roberts Sr., 89, died Friday, March 4, 2005, at Floyd Memorial Hospital and Health Services in New Albany.
John had worked for the old South Central Bell Telephone Co. for over 40 years and was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in New Albany.
The son of the late Wallace F. and Mittie E. (Brown) Roberts, John was born Jan. 21, 1916, in Stanley. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Martha J. (White) Roberts; six sons, William (Anne), Michael, Patrick (Dale), Stephen, Jeffrey (Peggy) and Byron (Cheryl) Roberts; two daughters, Missy Keller and Michelle Portwood (Mark); a sister, Florence "Boots" Norris; 25 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two sons, John D. Roberts Jr. and Thomas E. Roberts.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday, March 7, 2005, at Generations Funeral Home. His funeral service will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday, March 8, 2005, at the Chapel at Generations Funeral Home with burial to follow in Mater Dolorosa cemetery in Owensboro.

Robert Fenwick

JEFFERSONVILLE, Ind. - Robert Fenwick, 50, of Jeffersonville passed away Friday, March 25, 2005, at Baptist East Hospital in Louisville. He was born in Vanderburgh County, Ind., to the late Wilbur and Mary Helen Brown Fenwick. Mrs. Fenwick passed away on March 7, 2004. He was employed as a disability adjudicator for the state of Kentucky for 15 years. He was a member of the Southeast Christian Church in Louisville and had formerly been a member of the Sorgho Baptist Church and Owensboro Christian Church. He had attended Indiana State University in Terre Haute, Ind., and received his bachelor's degree in sociology from University of Southern Indiana in Evansville. He was an avid Indiana University basketball fan, was a member of Promise Keepers and was a St. Jude's partner. He enjoyed spending time with his children, grandchildren and his family and friends.
Surviving is his wife of 15 years, Margaret "Sissy" Fenwick; a son, Matthew Joseph Logsdon of Louisville; a daughter and her husband, Beth and Cory Lash of Bowling Green; three grandchildren, Zoe Jane Lash, Robert Todd Lash and Hayden Joseph Logsdon; two sisters, Barbara Nelson of Bowling Green and Carol Hayden of Utica; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, April 2, at Glenn Funeral Home chapel, with burial following in the Sorgho Baptist Church cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Friday and after 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. A "Celebration of Life" will be held after the burial at Roosevelt House II at 530 Yale Place. RICHLAND, Ind. - Judy (Sarver) Swanker, 65, of Richland died Wednesday March 30, 2005, at Miller's Merry Manor in Rockport, Ind. Judy was born in Richland on June 5, 1939, to the late August and Mary (Burroughs) Sarver. She was a homemaker.
Survivors are her husband of 42 years, Roger; two sons, Jimmy Swanker and his wife, Alana, of Richland and John Swanker and his wife, Mindy, of Rockport; a daughter, Shelley Daming and her husband, Tom, of Rockport; a brother, Donald Sarver of Richland; three sisters, Trilla Snyder of Richland, Irene Wasson of Boonville, Ind., and Mary Norris of St. Joseph, Mich.; two grandchildren, Jarod and Jason Daming; three stepgrandchildren, Amee Hadley and Leah and Dustin Sarver; and two step great-grandchildren, Brooklynn and Jaxson Hadley.
Service are at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 2, at Boultinghouse Funeral Home in Rockport, with the Rev. Joe Mack Miller officiating. Burial will be in Mount Zion cemetery in Richland. SANTA CLAUS, Ind. - Mark C. Allinger, 81, of Santa Claus died Saturday, March 19, 2005, at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville. He retired from Amoco Oil Co. after 35 years and was a World War II veteran.
Survivors include his wife, Sandra Allinger; four daughters, Donna Ramholz, Nancy Comerford, Ginny Allinger and Bonnie Peterson; two sisters, Lela Veeck and Norma Jean Henke; and two stepsons, Bradley Everett and Brian Everett.

TELL CITY, Ind. - Marion E. Coleman III, 65, of Indianapolis, formerly of Tell City and Cannelton, Ind., passed away Sunday, March 20, 2005, at Community South Hospital in Indianapolis. Marion was born Oct. 30, 1939, in Owensboro, the son of the late Marion E. Coleman Jr. and Mary Roberta (Shively) Coleman. Also preceding him in death was a brother, David P. Coleman. A 1957 graduate of Owensboro Catholic High School, he married
the former Virginia Daming on May 6, 1967, at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Rockport, Ind. A former member of the Knights of Columbus and the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, he retired because of illness from Big Rivers Electric Corp. in 1996 and had worked at the former First Cannelton National Bank from 1972 to 1983. He was a member of St. Ann Catholic Church in Indianapolis.
He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Virginia "Ginny" Coleman of Indianapolis; four daughters, Susan B. Coleman and Joy Coleman-Stiver, both of Indianapolis, Christa K. Coleman of Boardman, Ohio, and Joan Marie Coleman of Indianapolis; two sons, Marion E. "Ed" Coleman IV of Newburgh, Ind., and Matthew D. Coleman of Indianapolis; a sister, Anne Shively Coleman of Owensboro; two brothers, Ronald J. Coleman of Dublin, Ohio, and P. Michael Coleman of Owensboro; and five grandchildren, Jarrod Stiver, Andrew, Alex, Nicholas and Maria Coleman.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. EST Wednesday, March 23, at St. Paul Catholic Church in Tell City, with burial in St. Bernard cemetery in Rockport. The Rev. Barnabas Gillespie, OSB, will officiate. Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. today and from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Huber Funeral Home-Tell City Chapel, where there will be a prayer service at 6:30 p.m. today. Richard David 'Dick' Bickel

ROCKPORT, Ind. - Richard David "Dick" Bickel, 64, of Rockport, passed away on Friday, April 15, 2005, at his home.
Dick was born in Peoria, Ill., on Feb. 14, 1941, to Ann (Cichon) and the late Richard Wayne Bickel. He was a retired Indiana State Police Officer (1964-1984), retired from ALCOA (1984-1995) and owned and operated Bickel Masonary and Construction (1995-2003). In his retirement he enjoyed hunting, fishing, vacations and leisure time with his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Richard Wayne Bickel; and a sister, Dixie Studebaker.
Surviving are his wife of 46 years, Rhea Dawn "Donnie," whom he married
on June 20, 1959; two daughters and husbands, Lori and Bill Higdon of Rockport and Jeanne and Jack Janes of Richland, Ind.; a son and wife, Richard Jay and Shawnda Bickel of Rockport; his mother, Ann Bickel of Jasonville, Ind.; four sisters, Mickey Adams of Twin Lakes, Wis., Elaine Green of Carmel, Ind., Patty Mayfield of Sullivan, Ind., and Cathy Hamilton of Salem, Ind.; a brother, Johnny Bickel of Flora, Ind.; eight grandchildren, Lindsey White, Davy Enlow, Megan Harris, Ben Janes, Chelsea Janes, Carly Prugel, Cody Bickel and Kyra Bickel; and two great-grandchildren, Bryson Harris and Weston Enlow.
Services are 11 a..m. Monday, April 18, 2005, at Boultinghouse Funeral Home in Rockport with Ronald Krazier Th.D officiating. Burial in Oak Grove cemetery in Rockport.
Visitation is from 11 a.m. until 8 p.m. Sunday and 8 a.m. until time of service on Monday at the funeral home.

GENTRYVILLE, Ind. - Wayne Jones Jr., 81, of Gentryville died Friday, April 29, 2005, at his home. He worked for Amoco Oil for several years as a distributor and was a member of Mount Olive United Methodist Church.
Survivors include a son, Max Jones; two stepsons, James M. Mauzey and Lt. Col. Ted Mauzy; and a stepdaughter, Sherry Brannon.

Beulah Bass Hurst

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. - Beulah Bass Hurst, 91, of 1120 East Davis Drive, Terre Haute, died Tuesday, April 19, 2005, at Davis Gardens Health Center in Terre Haute. She was born March 25, 1914, in Stendal, Ind., to the late Remus Bass and Mary Adella Corn Bass. She was a retired homemaker, a member of Hartford United Methodist Church and a charter member of the Ohio County Country Club. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Hurst, on April 10, 1992; and a great-grandson, Matthew Beau Burgess, in February 2000.
Survivors include two sons, Paul Hurst and his wife, Brenda, of New Albany, Ind., and Warren Hurst and his wife, Sue Ann, of Owensboro; a daughter, Elaine Seitz and her husband, Charles, of Terre Haute; eight grandchildren, Stephen Seitz and his wife, Enelcy, Carrie Hollkamp and her husband, Jeff, Kevin Hurst, Susan Burgess, Stacy Mason and her husband, Travis, Kyla James and her husband, Scott, Casey Hurst and his wife, Mindy, and Cory Hurst; and a brother-in-law, Hilary Hurst of Hartford.
Services are at 1 p.m. Saturday, April 23, at Miller-Schapmire Funeral Home, with the Rev. Sandy Douglass officiating. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday and after 9 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Oakwood cemetery in Hartford.
