Leo L. McFadden

PRINCETON, Ind. - Leo L. McFadden, 86, died Thursday, Nov. 18, 2004, at River Oaks Health Care Center in Princeton. He was born in Lafayette, Ind., on Feb. 18, 1918. He retired in 1981 from CE&I Railroad as a car inspector. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served during World War II. He had lived in Princeton most of his lifetime except for a short time in Owensboro and in Haubstadt, Ind. He was member of Sorgho Baptist Church near Owensboro. He was a life member of the VFW Post No. 1147 in Princeton. He was preceded in death by his wife, Goldie Marie (Wilkins) McFadden, on March 2, 1986; a son, Freddie Dale McFadden, in 1955; and parents, Martin and Emmaline (Coomer) McFadden.
He is survived by his children, Mike Thomas of Princeton, Daniel R. McFadden of Kennesaw, Ga., Roy L. McFadden of Haubstadt, Polly Sue Mason of Princeton, Donna Marie Moore of Princeton, Dennis D. McFadden of Owensboro and Roxanne Hunt of Princeton; two sisters, Gladys Runyon of Gary, Ind., and Thelma Dunn of Princeton; a brother, Dale McFadden of Washington, D.C.; 17 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 23, at Colvin Funeral Home, with the Rev. Glen Flowers officiating. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday and from 9 a.m. to service time Tuesday. Burial will be in Maple Hill cemetery in Princeton. The VFW Post No. 1147 will conduct military graveside services.
Robert Louis Bell

JEFFERSONVILLE, Ind. - Robert Louis Bell, 76, of Jeffersonville died Monday, Nov. 8, 2004. He resided in Indianapolis for more than 40 years. He was employed by Hygrades Meat Packing and Navistar as a millwright and retired in 1990 from Navistar.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Bell, a daughter, Jacqueline Bell; three sisters, Ruth Ransome of Indianapolis and Rose Ann Bell and Minnie Riley, both of Owensboro; and a brother, Edgar Bell of Indianapolis.
Services are at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 13, at Peoples Funeral Home in Indianapolis, with calling from 6 to 9 p.m. today, Nov. 12. Burial will be in Crown Hill cemetery in Indianapolis.
James E. 'Jim' Wilcox

HUNTINGBURG, Ind. - James E. "Jim" Wilcox, 81, of Huntingburg died Wednesday, Nov. 24, 2004, at St. Joseph Hospital. He was a veteran of World War II and a member of Cypress Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Patricia Wilcox; two sons, Mark Wilcox and Randy Wilcox, both of Huntingburg; two daughters, Katherine Miller and Shelly Jones; two sisters, Nellie Wilcox and Alice Wilcox; and two brothers, Bill Wilcox and Jack Wilcox.
Services: 2 p.m. EST Saturday at Fuller Funeral Home and Crematory in Dale, Ind. Burial: Fairmont cemetery in Huntingburg. Visitation: From 3 to 8 p.m. EST Friday at the funeral home.
Dorothy Marie 'Rie' McKinney

DALE, Ind. - Dorothy Marie "Rie" McKinney, 76, of Dale died Saturday, Nov. 20, 2004, at her home. She worked at Goodwin's Boat and Cycle Sales.
Survivors include her husband of 56 years, Charles Glenn McKinney; a son, Patrick Glenn McKinney; four daughters, Joan Marie Hays, Betty Jean VanWinkle, Carol Anne Dazey and Sally Kay Jackson; and a sister, Marlene Goodwin Burkhart Fosbrook.

The Rev. Chester Todd

EVANSVILLE - The Rev. Chester Todd, 77, of Evansville died Sunday, Sept. 5, 2004, at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville. James Chester Todd was born Jan. 13, 1927, in Hopkins County to the late Noble and Rush Todd and was later married
to the former Dorothy Jean Nickens on Feb. 3, 1945. Chester Todd had retired from Whirlpool Corp. of Evansville after 31 years of service. Brother Todd and his wife, Sister Dorothy, founded the Who So Ever Will Mission in Calhoun where he was currently serving as the church pastor. He also enjoyed hunting and the outdoors. Brother Chester Todd was preceded in death by a grandson, Christopher Beasley, who died Feb. 13, 1992; and a brother, Cecil Todd, who died in 1993.
Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Dorothy; a son and his wife, Mark and Dianna Todd of Evansville; a daughter, Barbara Todd Luster of Evansville; a great-grandson, Andru of Chandler, Ind.; two sisters, Linda Memmer and Mary Jarvis, both of Evansville; and two nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Who So Ever Will Mission in Calhoun with the Rev. Mike Hubrey officiating. Burial will be in New Salem cemetery in Hopkins County. Friends may visit with the Todd family from 3 to 8 p.m. today and from 10 a.m. until time of services Wednesday at the mission. Muster Funeral Homes, Calhoun Chapel, is handling the funeral arrangements for the Todd family.
The Todd family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to Who So Ever Will Mission, Building Fund, 208 Adams St., Evansville, IN 47713. Memorial contribution envelopes will be available at the church and at Musters in Calhoun.
Don Wireman

ROCKPORT, Ind. - Don Wireman, 65, of Rockport died Tuesday, Nov. 30, 2004, at St. Mary's Medical Center in Evansville. Don was born on July 16, 1939, in Louisa to the late Ora L. and Erie (Branham) Wireman. He was a retired Teamster truck driver; a member of Larkin Baptist Church in Rockport; Jasper (Ind.) York Rite; Richland, Ind., Eastern Star; and Masonic Lodge, Scottish Rite, Hadi Shrine and Teamsters Local 215 all in Evansville and Rolling Thunder MIA/POW Chapter 7 of Indiana.
Surviving are his wife of 40 years, Karen; two sons, Chad Wireman of Rockport and Brad Wireman of Louisville; a daughter, Karla Wireman of Evansville; a granddaughter Jessica Wireman of Louisville.
Services are 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 4, 2004 at Boultinghouse Funeral Home in Rockport with Rev. Freeman Powell officiating. Burial will be at a later date. Visitation from 2 to 8 p.m. Friday and after 8 a.m. till time of service on Saturday at the funeral home. Masonic service is 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Joseph Wirthwein

ROCKPORT, Ind. - Joseph Wirthwein, 50, of Rockport died Friday, Nov. 26, 2004, from natural causes. Joe was born in Owensboro on March 22, 1954, to Wyman and Anna (Lampkins) Wirthwein. He was a coal equipment operator for American Electric Power in Rockport. He was a member of St. Bernard Catholic Church, Harley Owner's Group, Ducks Unlimited, National Rifle Association and a former Boy Scout leader for Troop 205.
Surviving are his wife of 29 years, Patty; a son, Christopher Michael Wirthwein of Lafayette, Colo.; two daughters, Lori Michelle Detchon of Canton, Ohio, and Stephanie Lynn Wirthwein, at home; parents, Wyman and Anna Wirthwein of Rockport; and two sisters, Donna Kaye Wirthwein of Rockport and Maria Diane Ashworth of Hawesville.
Services are at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 30, at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Rockport, with Father Ed Schnur officiating. Burial will be in Oak Grove cemetery in Rockport. Visitation is from 1 to 8 p.m. Monday and from 8 to 10:15 a.m. Tuesday with a vigil prayer service at 5 p.m. Monday at the Boultinghouse Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or American Diabetes Association.
Kenneth Hidbrader

POSEYVILLE, Ind. - Kenneth Hidbrader, 80, died at 2:40 a.m. Monday, Nov. 29, 2004, at Hillcrest Healthcare Center in Owensboro. He was born July 24, 1924, in Wadesville, Ind., to the late Loren and Geneive Kincheloe Hidbrader. He was a Posey County resident until three years ago when he moved to Owensboro to live with his daughter and son-in-law, Jim and Lisa Glover. Kenny was a well-respected car salesman for 49 years in the Poseyville area. He was a World War II veteran and a recipient of the Purple Heart, having been deployed with the 4th Armored Division.
He was a member of Bethel Temple in Evansville and attended Walnut Memorial Baptist Church in Owensboro. He belonged to the Poseyville American Legion and Wadesville Veterans of Foreign Wars.
He is survived by a son, Michael Hidbrader of Burlington; a daughter, Lisa Glover of Owensboro; two grandsons, James Michael Glover of Evansville and Chase Hidbrader of Owensville, Ind.; three granddaughters, Melissa Blackburn of Owensville, Jennifer Lampkin of Philpot and Lauren Hidbrader of Burlington; and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Sarah J. Hidbrader in 2000; and a brother, Merle Hidbrader.
Services are at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Werry Funeral Home Poseyville Chapel. Interment will be in Poseyville cemetery. Visitation is from 3 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Memorial contributions can be made to Bethel Temple, Evansville Music Ministry or Walnut Memorial Baptist Church Choir Fund in Owensboro.
Clayton Eugene Middleton

ROCKPORT, Ind. - Clayton Eugene Middleton, 70, of Rockport went to be with the Lord on Dec. 16, 2004, at Owensboro Medical Health Systems, surrounded by family and friends. Clayton was born on Dec. 25, 1933, to the late Ely Clay and Fannie Alice (Rudisill) Middleton. He was a veteran of the Korean War in the U.S. Army and earned the sharpshooter, good conduct, 2nd class gunner and marksman's metals. He was self-employed as a mechanic at Middleton's Garage in Reo, Ind. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and friend. He loved camping, working on automobiles, talking on his CB, spending time with family and friends and playing with his dog, Kiki. He was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Norma Jean Middleton; a sister, Clayda Mae Middleton, a brother, James Edward Middleton; and a sister, Maxine Helmeridge.
Surviving are his three daughters, Pam Alvey and husband, Billy, of Rockport, Vickie Shourds and husband, Larry, of Rockport and Lisa Jackson and husband, Allen Jr., of Patronville, Ind.; three brothers, Mike Middleton of Grandview, Ind., Ely Clay Middleton Jr. of Rockport and Richard Middleton of Grandview; three sisters, Peggy Ann Huff West of Long Beach, Calif., Barbara Ryan of Rockport and Sara Eply of Hawesville; six grandchildren, Corey Alvey and wife, Donna, of Grandview, Candice Smith and husband, Chris, of Rockport, Ashley Shourds of Rockport, Stephanie Sandage and husband, Jon, of Grandview and Shon Shourds and Kristi Alvey of Rockport; and a great-grandchild, Jon Sandage Jr. of Grandview.
Services are at 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 19, at Boultinghouse Funeral Home, with the Rev. Walter Phillips officiating. Burial will be in James Parker cemetery in Hatfield, with American Legion Post No. 254 conducting military rites. Visitation is from 2 to 8 p.m. today and from 8 a.m. until time of service Sunday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Bethel Christian Center or Visiting Nurses Association in Tell City.

GENTRYVILLE, Ind. - Gerald Eugene Eskridge, 53, of Gentryville died Monday, Jan. 24, 2005, at Core Nursing Center in Huntingburg, Ind. He attended Heilman General Baptist Church.
