Beulah M. Boyd

ROCKPORT, Ind. - Beulah M. Boyd, 92, of Rockport died Thursday, Aug. 25, 2004, at Miller's Merry Manor in Rockport. She was born in Patronville, Ind., on Jan. 21, 1912, to the late Van B. and Mary (Smith) Moore. She was a cook for Tyler Truck Stop, Erwin Restaurant and Modern Restaurant and a member of Larkin Baptist Church.
Surviving are a son, Kenneth Boyd of Rockport; a daughter, Betty Muse of Rockport; five grandchildren, Tim Boyd, Jeff Muse and Shari, Shelly Boyd Webb and Mike, Missy Boyd Cowart and Keith and Jennifer Muse Ferguson and Ray; and six great-grandchildren, Mac, Malin and Manning Webb, Bailey Boyd, Matthew Muse and Dawson Cowart.
Services are at 1 p.m. Saturday at Boultinghouse Funeral Home, with the Rev. Freeman Powell officiating. Burial will be in Oak Grove cemetery in Rockport. Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. today and after 8 a.m. until time of service Saturday at the funeral home.
Alfred Hawkins Jr.

CANNELTON, Ind. - Alfred Hawkins Jr., 83, of Cannelton, formerly of Breckinridge County, died Friday, Sept. 3, 2004, at Oakwood Health Campus in Tell City, Ind. He was born Aug. 4, 1921, in Hardinsburg. He retired from the Indiana Forest Service after 20 years and had worked at Cannelton at the sewer pipe plant. He was a member of English Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Mae Hawkins of Cannelton; two brothers, David Lee Hawkins of Owensboro and James Earl Hawkins of Evansville; and two sisters, Jean McCoy of Cloverport and Anna Murl Ward of Jacksonville, Fla.
Services are at 2 p.m. Sunday at Wallace Funeral Home in Cloverport with the Rev. Danny Calves officiating. Burial will be in Cloverport cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today and after 8 a.m. Sunday at Wallace Funeral Home in Cloverport.
Charley E. 'Chip' Guthrie

ROCKPORT, Ind. - Charley E. "Chip" Guthrie, 31, of 128 E. Grissom Ave., Rockport, died Tuesday, Sept. 7, 2004, at Owensboro Medical Health System. He was born on Dec. 5, 1972, in Cherry Point, N.C. He had been employed as a used car lot manager.
Survivors include his wife, Jennifer Guthrie; a son, Matthew Guthrie, at home; a daughter, Abigayle Guthrie, at home; his mother, Judith Anderson of Williamsport, Pa.; his father, David William Guthrie of Harrisburg, Pa.; and a brother, David William Guthrie Jr. of California.
There will be no services or visitation. James H. Davis Funeral Home in Owensboro is in charge of arrangements.

ROCKPORT, Ind. - Mary Martine Payne, 79, of Rockport died Friday, Sept. 17, 2004, at Professional Care Rehabilitation Center in Dale, Ind.
Surviving are two sons, Michael and Bill Payne; and four daughters, Stella Fodge, Zola Hollenbeck, Mary Hasty and Gloria Garrett.
Services: 2 p.m. Wednesday at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Rockport. Burial: Sunset Hill cemetery in Rockport. Visitation: From 2 to 8 p.m. Tuesday from 8 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Boultinghouse Funeral Home in Rockport.
Albert 'Bud' Robinson Jr.

ROCKPORT, Ind. - Albert "Bud" Robinson Jr., 82, of Rockport died Friday, Sept. 24, 2004, at Miller's Merry Manor in Rockport. Bud was born in Rockport on Nov. 8, 1921, to the late Albert L. Sr. and Norah (Enright) Robinson. He was a steam presser at Ritchie Cleaners in Rockport, Vogue and Big B Cleaners in Owensboro. A member of St. Bernard Catholic Church and American Legion Post 254, both in Rockport, and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 696 in Owensboro, he was a veteran of World War II who served from September 1942 until Dec. 6, 1945. He served with the Medical Corps 6th Battalion Company D and participated in Omaha Beach on D Day #2. He served in the Korean War from October 1950 to August 1951 as a military police officer. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Robinson, in 1991.
Surviving are a daughter, Cheri Robinson and husband Mike of Rockport; a half brother, Doug Robinson of California; two half sisters, Nancy Gaddis and Janie Robinson, both of Owensboro; two grandchildren, Travis Robinson of Anderson, Ind., and Michelle Robinson of Bowling Green; and a very close friend, Imogene Gibbs of Rockport.
Services are at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Sept. 27, 2004, at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Rockport with Father Ed Schnur officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Hill cemetery in Rockport with American Legion graveside service. Visitation is from 1 to 8 p.m. today at Boultinghouse Funeral Home in Rockport and 8 a.m. until 10 a.m. Monday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Rockport Library.

DALE, Ind. - Evelyn Ruth Harper, 81, of Dale died Saturday, Sept. 25, 2004, at Jasper Memorial Hospital. She was a member of Lincolnland Worship Center in Santa Claus, Ind.
Survivors include her husband, Luther Harper; two sons, Luther "Larry" Harper Jr. and Robert "Bob" Harper; a daughter, Wanda Ann Hanaway; and a sister, Wanda Lee Bailey.

NEWTONVILLE, Ind. - Annalee Talbott Huebschman, 80, of Evanston, Ind., died Sept. 21, 2004, at 12:55 a.m. at Beverly Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center in Tell City, Ind. She was born Oct. 7, 1923, in Newtonville. Annalee was preceded in death by her husband, Werner, in 1998. They were married
on June 30, 1957. She worked at General Electric for 22 years, retired in 1967 and later worked at 3D Department Store in Tell City for 10 years. She was a member of Cornerstone United Methodist Church in Chrisney, Ind., and she enjoyed traveling. She was preceded in death by her husband, Werner Huebschman; her father, Charles Talbott; her mother, Daisy Shimer Talbott; and two brothers, Herschel Talbott and Harold Talbott.
Survivors include nephews, Darryl Talbott of Tell City, Robert Talbott of Newburgh, Ind., Darwin Talbott of Rome, Ind., and Terry Talbott of Santa Claus, Ind.; a niece, Diana Schoolcraft of Tell City; sisters-in-law Betty Clark, Selma Lorenz and Mildred Mulzer of Tell City, Leona Kleaving of St. Marks, Ind., and Marcella Slack of Fort Worth, Texas; brothers-in-law Harry Huebschman of Tell City and Robert and Clarence Huebschman of Evanston; seven great-nieces and nephews; and 10 great-great-nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, Sept. 23, at 11 a.m. at Zoercher-Gillick Funeral Home, 920 10th St. in Tell City. Burial will take place in New Hope cemetery in Newtonville. Visitation will be today, Sept. 22, from 2 to 8 p.m. at Zoercher-Gillick Funeral Home and Thursday, Sept. 23, from 9 a.m. to service time at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to a favorite charity.

GREENFIELD, Ind. - W.B. Addison, 68, of Greenfield died there Friday, Oct. 15, 2004. He was born April 11, 1936, in Muhlenberg County and married
on Oct. 16, 1954. He retired in 1987 after 30 years of service at Ford Motor Co. He was a licensed Indiana Auctioneer for 40 years. He served as special deputy under Sheriff Bob Sebastian. He was owner and operator of Addison's Roller Rink, Papaw's Country Ice Cream Store and Another Addison Auction and was a member of Hancock Lodge 101. He was preceded in death by his father, William Benjamin Addison; his mother, Fannie (Joines) Addison; two sisters, Thelma Crafton and Eula Epley; and a son-in-law, John Beeson.
Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Betty (Fleming) Addison of Greenfield; a son, Wayne Addison of Greenfield; a daughter, Lisa Beeson of Greenfield; and five grandchildren, Kyle Addison, Hannah Beeson, Tyler Beeson, Katey Addison and Addilyn Coil.
Celebration of life funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. EDT Monday, Oct. 18, 2004, at Pasco-Stillinger Funeral Home in Greenfield. Burial will be in Park cemetery in Greenfield. Visitation is from 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Pasco-Stillinger Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to Hancock County Food Pantry.

EVANSVILLE - Elizabeth Moore Ray, 88, of Evansville, formerly of Poplar Grove, died Monday, Aug. 30, 2004, at Community Methodist Hospital in Henderson. Elizabeth Moore Hazelip was born Sept. 27, 1915, in Rumsey to the late Alfred and Alice Hazelip and was later married
to Lee Roy Ray. She was a member of Cypress Primitive Baptist Church and also enjoyed cooking and family gatherings. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lee Roy Ray, on Aug. 18, 1991; and a son, Robert L. Ray, on Nov. 8, 1995.
Survivors include two sons, William Earl Ray of Allen Park, Mich., and Dan D. Ray of Evansville; two daughters, Wanda J. Coakley of Detroit and Joan C. Carson of Evansville; 18 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Alma of Detroit.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Muster Funeral Homes, Calhoun Chapel, with Dr. Richard Sams officiating. Burial will be in Poplar Grove cemetery in McLean County. Friends may visit with the Ray family from 3 to 7 p.m. today and from 8 a.m. until time of services Friday at Musters in Calhoun.
