Charles H. Sapp, 87, of Evansville, passed away Thursday October 20, 2011 at Parkview Care Center.

Charlie was a pressman and worked for Burkert-Walton, Inc. where he was a shop steward for the union. He also owned and operated Charlie's Radio and TV. He was very active in the Sportsman's Club in Kentucky and was an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed working in his yard and taking care of his fruit trees. Charlie was a veteran of the US Army in WWII where he was attached to a surgical unit.

He was preceded in death by his wife Elizabeth "Betty" Sapp.

Charlie is survived by his son David Thomas and wife Debbie; daughter Libby Pflug all of Evansville; grandchildren Donnie and Judy Vinson, Rob and Jessica Thomas and Michelle and Matt Williams; great grandchildren Jordan, Terra, Alisha and Courtlyn.

Charlie was a wonderful man and a continuous caregiver devoted to his wife after she was diagnosed with Lou Gehrig's disease.

Visitation will be from 2:00 – 8:00 pm Sunday October 23, 2011 at Ziemer Funeral Home Central Chapel, 626 N. First Ave., Evansville, IN 47710 and continuing from 11:00 – 1:00 pm Monday at the funeral home.

Funeral service will be at 1:00 pm Monday, October 24, 2011 at the funeral home with Pastor Bobby Pell officiating.

Burial will be at Memorial Park cemetery.

Delores Gelinas
Born on Nov. 29, 1936

Delores Gelinas passed away Wednesday, October 19, 2011 after a long illness.

Delores was a loving Mother, Grandmother, Sister and Aunt who truly enjoyed life and spending time her family. Delores was born in Hopkins County, Kentucky to Cecil Shelton and Rissie Proffet Shelton and later moved to Evansville, Indiana where she would raise her three children Donald R. Gelinas, Michael R. Gelinas and Jada K (Gelinas) Lutterbach. She was a member of St. Anthony Church for most of her adult life.

She was preceded in death by her parents Cecil and Rissie Shelton, sister Dorothy D Nelson, brother William Shelton, son Michael R Gelinas.

Delores is survived by her children Donald R Gelinas, Jada K Lutterbach and husband Kurt; brothers Billy Shelton and Tony Shelton; grandchildren Christopher Gelinas, Alex, Mason and Emme Lutterbach; and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 3:00 -7:00 pm Sunday October 23, 2011 at Ziemer Funeral Home North Chapel, 6300 N. First Ave., Evansville, IN 47710 and continuing from 9:30 – 10:00 am Monday at the funeral home.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 Monday October 24, 2011 at St. Anthony's Catholic Church, 704 N. 1st Ave., Evansville, IN 47710 with Fr. Jay Davidson officiating.

Addison L. 'Skip' Dyer, Jr.

Addison L. "Skip" Dyer, Jr., 84, formally of Evansville, passed away Thursday, October 20, 2011 at Prairie Lakes Health Campus in Noblesville In.

He graduated from Princeton University School of Engineering, class of 1951, and was a veteran of the US Marine Corp serving in WWII. Addison retired in 1994 from Fremont County Economic Development Corp in Colorado. He was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Green River Kiwanis, a former member of St. Thomas More Hospital Board of Directors and former long term member of Rotary.

Addison was preceded in death by his wife Julia Grace (Howard) Dyer in 2010.

He is survived by his daughter Jennifer (Paul) Auble of Noblesville; son Timothy Dyer of Ft. Wayne; grandchildren Jeffrey, Tyler and Kevin Auble, Kelsi and Jared Dyer; sister Miriam Dyer-Dunning of Amsterdam, NY.

Visitation will be from 11:00 – 1:30 pm Monday, October 24, 2011 at Ziemer Funeral Home East Chapel, 800 S. Hebron Ave., Evansville, IN 47714.

Funeral service will be at 1:30 pm Monday, October 24, 2011 at the funeral home with Fr. Bernard Etienne officiating.

Adaline M. (Jackie) Hoover, 88 of Evansville, passed away at the Evansville Protestant Home on Sunday, October 23, 2011.

She retired from Deters Jewelers, a job she dearly loved. She also had worked at the Evansville Store and R&G; Furniture. Jackie was a volunteer Pink lady at St. Mary's Medical Center for many years. She was a member of the Methodist Temple where she taught Sunday school for over 25 years.

Surviving are her daughter, Donna Hahn of Newburgh, son, John W. Hoover, Jr. of Evansville, grandsons; Daron Sprinkle (Floria), and John W. Hoover, III, granddaughters; Julie Eades, (Eric), and Candice Joffrion, great granddaughters; Angela Osbun (Ben), and Lauren Eades, great grandson, Brandon Eades, and a dear and caring friend Tom Walden.

She was preceded in death by her husband John W. Hoover, and parents Roy and Odie Raber.

Visitation will be from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday October 25, 2011 at Ziemer Funeral Home East Chapel, 800 S. Hebron Ave. Evansville, IN 47714.

Funeral Service will be at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday October 26, 2011 at the funeral home, with Reverend Steve Beutler officiating.

Burial in Oak Hill cemetery.

Donald J. Blume, 90, of Evansville, passed away at Deaconess Hospital Monday, October 24, 2011.

He was a graduate of the University of Evansville and retired from Guthrie May and Company serving as their President. He was a veteran of WWII serving in the Marines and a member of the American Legion. During the war he served in the Asiatic Pacific Theatre and the American Theatre. He was a member of Holy Redeemer Catholic Church and National Association of Accountants. Donald loved playing tennis and was a member of the Tri-State Racquet Club. He enjoyed gardening and yard work.

He is preceded in death by his first wife Betty, parents, William and Catherine Blume and his brother George.

Surviving is his wife, Marilyn, sons, Donald Blume and his wife Peggy; Dr. William Blume and his wife Leeann; daughter, Catherine Osborne and her husband Gary, stepdaughter, Vicki Slusher and her husband Roger, and stepson, Jason Schnee, all of Evansville, grandchildren, Joey and Katie Osborne, Kristen, Kyle, Kendall, and Matthew Blume, and Josh Slusher, sister, Mary Viller of Louisville, KY.

Visitation will be held from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 26, 2011, at Ziemer Funeral Home Central Chapel, 626 N. First Avenue.

Services will begin Thursday, October 27, 2011, at 10:30 a.m. at Ziemer Central and continue at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, 918 West Mill Road, with Fr. Paul Ferguson officiating. Entombment will follow in St. Joseph Mausoleum.
