Dudley A. Smith, 91, of Evansville, passed away holding the hand of his dear niece Thursday, August 11, 2011, at Deaconess Hospital after a brief illness.
He was born July 10, 1920 in Irving Park, Chicago, Illinois.
Dudley moved to Evansville as a young boy and graduated from Central High School in 1939. He was a long time member of Salem United Methodist Church and enjoyed a long career as an accountant and supervisor with Whirlpool retiring in 1983. He was a fifty Year Club Member of the Institute of Management Accountants and served as president of the Evansville Chapter of the National Association of Accountants from 1971 - 72. Dudley never met a stranger and always had a smile for everyone. Together with his adored wife they enjoyed traveling, Clabber, Bridge, and dining out, especially Friday nights with family and friends at the Hornets Nest. He was also an avid golfer and the University of Evansville Aces biggest fan and longtime ticket holder.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 53 years, Madeline in June, 2011, his parents, Dudley Adelbert and Francelia Smith, and an older brother, John W. Smith.
Dudley is survived by nephews, Donnie Wilke of Boonville, Darrell Wilke of Evansville, Larry Wilke of Evansville, niece, Patty Lynch of Concord, NC and other extended family.
Visitation will be from 11:30 – 1:30 p.m. Sunday, August 14, 2011 at Ziemer Funeral Home North Chapel, 6300 North First Avenue, Evansville, IN 47710.
Funeral service will follow at the funeral home with Rev. Brant Wilkie and Rev. Randy Anderson officiating.
Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Park cemetery.

Chad Aaron Cox, 40, of Evansville, passed away Wednesday, August 10, 2011 at St. Mary's Medical Center.
He is survived by his brothers; David Robertson and Ryan Cox; sisters; Rita Schroer, Donna Robertson and Sharon Ramos, nieces and nephews; Kerri and Loren Durbin, Daryn O'Dell, Morgan Cox, Erik Ramos, Tyler Robertson, Isaac Schroer, great-nephew, Kaison Ward.
Visitation will be 10:00 – 2:00 pm Monday August 15, 2011 at Ziemer Funeral Home Central Chapel, 626 N. First Ave. Evansville, IN 47710. Services at 2:00 pm.

Guthrie C. Sunderman, 87, of Evansville, passed away Thursday, August 18, 2011, at his home.
He retired from Whirlpool in 1985 after 20 years of service. He was a Veteran of WW II serving in Germany and landed on Normandy Beach. Guthrie was a member of the VFW, American Legion and Eagles Country Club.
He is preceded in death by his wife Norma in Sept. 2003, son Barry Sunderman in July 2001 and his sister Sally Wiseman.
Guthrie is survived by his daughter Linda Denton and husband Gary of Fishers, IN; son Kevin Sunderman of Holland, MI; grandchildren Scot Sunderman and Julie Krasnow; great grandchildren Avery, Alex and Noah Krasnow, Daisy, and Chloe Sunderman and Mariah Hudson; brothers-in-law Ambrose Buechlein of Jasper, IN and Alan Kemp and wife Pamela of Fairfield, IL; sister-in-law and Deanna Hendrix of Illinois.
Visitation will be from 10:00 – 1:30 pm Saturday, August 20, 2011 at Ziemer Funeral Home North Chapel, 6300 N. First Ave., Evansville, IN 47710. Funeral services will begin at 1:30 pm with Reverend Gregory Hitchcock officiating.
Burial will be at Locust Hill cemetery where the Retired Veterans Memorial Club will conduct graveside services.

Billy G. Danks, Jr., 53, of Evansville passed away Thursday August 18, 2011 at St. Mary's Medical Center.
He attended Bosse High School and served in the US Army. Billy graduated from the University of Southern Indiana with a Bachelors Degree in Social Work and was a Social Worker for Community Action Program for many years. Billy was a huge Notre Dame Football fan and enjoyed watching IU basketball and Kansas City Chiefs football.
He is preceded in death by his father Bill G. Danks, Sr. and sister Debbie.
Billy is survived by his life partner Ruth Ritchie; mother Janice Cecil of West Palm Beach, FL; sons Billy Danks III of Evansville, IN, Weston Danks of Knoxville, IN, Taylor Danks and Landon Ritchie both of Evansville, IN; step children Courtney Cameron and Robert Haire of Evansville, IN; sisters Janet Danks of Evansville, IN, Laura Danks of Louisville, KY and Ginger Mosley of Newburgh, IN; brothers Bret Danks of Perrysburg, OH, David Danks of Edwardsville, IL; James Cecil of Evansville, IN; 4 step grandchildren; nieces and nephews; aunts, uncles and cousins.

George-Anne (Richmond) Ryder
69, died Aug, 20, 2011 at Angel River Health & Rehabilitation Center in Newburgh. She was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in late January.
She was the daughter of George "Gilbert" and Anna "Lillian" (Braden) Richmond of Henderson, KY. She was a graduate of Henderson City High School and the University of Evansville after also attending Union University in Jackson, TN, and Kentucky Wesleyan College.
She was director at the Catholic Center and Sarto Retreat House for 17 years before retiring. Before that she worked at American General Finance and had been the director of Volunteer Action Center.
George-Anne was appointed to the Catholic Charities Board three times, was a member when she died and previously had been president of the board. She also had been a member of the YWCA and served one-term as president. She and her husband had served on the board of the former Parents Club at Memorial High School and held the post of co-presidents for one year. She was a graduate of the Leadership Evansville program.
She grew up as a member of Immanuel Baptist Temple in Henderson. She was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church in Evansville for more than 40 years. Her many activities in the church over the years included Sunday School teacher, choir member, Eucharistic Minister and a member of the Camillus Ministry visiting the sick in hospitals.
Surviving are her husband Thomas M., her older son, Thomas J., his wife Julie Allen Ryder and daughter Elizabeth, of Evansville; younger son Kevin, his wife Nicole Ryder and daughter Abbey, of Mukwonago, WI; and brother, Larry Richmond of Cape Coral, FL, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends may visit from 2 to 8 p.m. on Monday, August 22 at Ziemer Funeral Home East Chapel, 800 S. Hebron Ave., Evansville; with a memorial service at 7:00 p.m. Visitation will continue Tuesday from 9:30 to 10:00 a.m. at Christ the King Catholic Church, 3010 E. Chandler, Evansville.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 23 at the church with Msgr. Kenneth Knapp officiating.
Entombment will be in St. Joseph Mausoleum.
