ROCKPORT, Ind. - Virginia Lillpop, 74, of Rockport died Wednesday, July 28, 2004, at her home. Virginia was born on Dec. 29, 1929, to the late Curtis and Lelia P. (Bryant) Mitchell. She was a retired cook for South Spencer School Corp. and a member of Larkin Baptist Church in Rockport. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Ralph Lillpop, in 2003; and a brother, Curtis Mitchell Jr.
Surviving are two daughters, Karen Richey of Rockport and Shannon Small and husband Jackie of Owensboro; a brother, Vernon Mitchell of Cannelton, Ind.; two sisters, Doris Grieve of Huntingburg, Ind., and Thelma Suter of Cahokia, Ill.; five grandchildren, David Richey, Angela Bevins, Bobby Small, Kristi Gilmore and Jamie Conrad; and 10 great-grandchildren, Heather, Lari and Jamie Richey, Bobbi Jo and Garrett Small, Gavin Gilmore, Kayla and Makenzie Conrad, and Dylan and Kira Bevins.
Services are at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 31, at Boultinghouse Funeral Home, with the Rev. Freeman Powell officiating. Burial will be in Shiloh cemetery in Rockport. Visitation is from 2 to 8 p.m. Friday and after 8 a.m. until time of service Saturday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Visiting Nurses Association in Tell City, Ind.
Waldo 'Skip' Medcalf

DALE, Ind. - Waldo "Skip" Medcalf, 76, of Dale died Friday, July 23, 2004, at his home. He was a Navy veteran of World War II, Korea and Vietnam.
Survivors include his wife, Margaret "Mag" Medcalf; four children, Sharon Drone, Michelle Koontz, Michael Wahl Jr. and Myra Wahl; a brother, Roscoe Medcalf Jr.; and a sister, Malee Dougan.
Graveside services: 11 a.m. Monday at Dale cemetery. Memorial services: From 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Fuller Funeral Home in Dale. Memorial contributions: St. Joseph's Hospice.

ROCKPORT, Ind. - Jay Dooley, 37, of Rockport died Saturday, July 24, 2004, at Owensboro Medical Health System. He was a chef.
Survivors include a son, Jacob N. Dooley; his mother, Earnie "Boots" Coleman; a brother Robby J. Housh; and two sisters, Wanda Toler and Nancy Ellis.

RICHLAND, Ind. - Emma E. Ricker, 98, of Richland died Sunday, Aug. 1, 2004, at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville, surrounded by her family. Emma was born in Columbia on Feb. 17, 1906, to the late John Ben and Elzora (England) Jessee. She was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband, Russell Ricker, in 1970; and a son, Johnny Ricker, in 1989.
Surviving are a son, Curtis Ricker of Rockport, Ind.; two daughters, Lena Cieslack of Richland and Carmen Dalton of Evansville; a brother, Paul Jessee of Evansville; three sisters, Elizabeth Cannon of Evansville, Eileen Hagan of Grand Island, Neb., and Kathleen Corsini of Henderson, Nev.; six grandchildren, Jeffrey and Curtis Ricker Jr., Pamela Canary, Jeannie Dremstedt, Brett Allen and Brad Alan Cieslack; eight great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
Services are at 11 a.m. today, Aug. 4, at Boultinghouse Funeral Home in Rockport, with the Rev. Jim Wilson officiating. Burial will be in Alexander cemetery in Rockport. Visitation is after 8 a.m. today at the funeral home.
Vivian F. (Boyd) Smith

HAMMOND, Ind. - Vivian F. (Boyd) Smith, 84, of Hammond passed away Tuesday, Aug. 17, 2004, at Regency Place in Dyer. She was a special mother and grandmother and will be dearly missed. She was preceded in death by her husband, Geoffrey.
Vivian is survived by her children, Janice (Michael) Brzinski of Hammond, Roger (Paula) Smith of Kentucky and Larry Smith of Colorado; grandchildren, Stephen (Leah) Smith of Texas and Brian (Stacey) Brzinski of Griffith; and great-grandchildren, Faith, Victoria, Paula, Beth and Daniel Smith and Isaac and Molly Brzinski.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 21, at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 8178 Cline Ave., Schererville, Ind., with Edith Downes officiating. Burial will take place at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens in Schererville. Friends may meet with the family Friday, Aug. 20, from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

ROCKPORT, Ind. - Everett "Bud" Horn, 80, of Rockport died Friday, Aug. 13, 2004, at St. Mary's Medical Center in Evansville. He was a millwright.
Survivors include his wife, Jo Anne Horn; two sons, David W. Horn and Dwight L. Horn; a daughter, Pamela Jo Lindauer; and a sister, Maxine Horn.

Donna Lynn (Lacy) Dolliver

DALEVILLE, Ind. - Donna Lynn (Lacy) Dolliver, 58, of Daleville died unexpectedly Saturday, Aug. 14, 2004. She was born in Indianapolis on Feb. 14, 1946, and lived in Orestes, Ind., for 30 years before moving to Daleville four and 1/2 years ago. She was a dedicated homemaker and loving wife, mother and grandmother. She graduated from Arlington High School in Indianapolis in 1964 and was involved in and a member of many community clubs and associations. Donna was very involved with 4-H Horse and Pony activities, a member of "MCOA," raised and bred English Mastiffs and was a member of a classic car club and Anderson Eagles.
Survivors include her husband, Darrell Dolliver, whom she married
July 26, 1970; her father, Donald Lacy of Owensboro; four daughters, Karman Dolliver of Muncie, Ind., and Karla Hunter and husband, Randy Hunter, of Alexandria, Ind., Danna Dolliver of Alexandria and Jodi Dolliver of Nashville; three sisters, Wendy Schienbein of Owensboro, Pam and husband, Gary Stahl, and Esther Evans, all of Pennsylvania; two brothers, Paul (Andy) Lacy of Owensboro and Jack Lacy of Nashville; and five grandchildren, Corey Dolliver, Tayler Hunter, Jacey Hurt, Brock Hunter and Laila McLeod. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles, and many special friends. She was preceded in death by her mother, Jacqueline (Boatman) Lacy.
Services are at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 21, at Robert D. Loose Funeral Homes and Crematory, North Chapel, 6061 State Road 9 North, with the Rev. Carl Cloud officiating. Calling hours are from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Saunders cemetery in Daleville.

ROCKPORT, Ind. - Robert "Bub" Goodwin, 62, of Rockport died Thursday, Aug. 19, 2004, at Owensboro Medical Health System. He worked in the cathode department at Alcoa and was an Army veteran of World War II.
Survivors include a son, Robert E. Goodwin II; and four sisters, Betty Miller, Donna Henderson, Diana Decker and Rosalee Broshear.
Services: 1 p.m. Sunday at Boultinghouse Funeral Home in Rockport. Burial: James Parker cemetery in Hatfield, Ind., with military honors by American Legion Post 254. Visitation: After 11 a.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Ruth Ann Shore Payne

NEW ALBANY, Ind. - Ruth Ann Shore Payne, 68, died Thursday, Aug. 19, 2004, at Clark Memorial Hospital in Jeffersonville, Ind. She was a homemaker and a member of the Evangel Tabernacle in Louisville.
Surviving are her husband, Carl Payne of New Albany; a son, Carl Glenn Payne of Charlestown, Ind.; two daughters, Connie Morgan of Clarksville, Ind., and Sherril Paules of Killien, Texas; a sister, Katherine Wolverton of Columbus, Ohio; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation is from 1 to 8 p.m. today and from noon until 3:30 p.m. Sunday at Garr Funeral Home in Sellersburg, Ind. Funeral services will be Sunday at 3:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Silver Creek cemetery in Sellersburg. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the Jeffersonville YMCA.

DALE, Ind. - Carl Richard Nielsen, 84, of P.O. Box 13, Dale, formerly of Lamar, Ind., died Monday, Aug. 23, 2004, at 9:10 a.m. at Professional Care & Rehabilitation in Dale. He was born April 3, 1920, in Bristow, Ind. Carl was a World War II Army veteran, a member of St. John's Lutheran Church and Santa Claus (Ind.) American Legion, and he enjoyed fishing. He was retired from Mulzer Crushed Stone. Carl's wife, Mary, preceded him in death in 1978. He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Nielsen; his mother, Bessie Aders Nielsen; and his wife, Mary Witte Nielsen.
Survivors include a daughter, Brenda Hagedorn and husband, Ed, of Lamar; a granddaughter, Emilie Hagedorn of Louisville; a grandson, Evan Hagedorn of Lamar; and a brother, Chester Nielsen and wife, Caroline, of Carmel, Ind.
Funeral services will be held at St. John Lutheran Church at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 28, in Evanston, Ind. Burial will take place in St. John Lutheran Church cemetery in Evanston. Visitation will be Friday, Aug. 27, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Zoercher-Gillick Funeral Home in Tell City and Saturday, Aug. 28, from 9 to 10 a.m. at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to St. John Lutheran Church cemetery Fund.
Eileen (Niles) Falkenstein

EVANSVILLE - Eileen (Niles) Falkenstein, 90, of Evansville died Sunday, Mother's Day, May 9, 2004, at Deaconess Hospice Center. Eileen was the eldest of five children born May 2, 1914, to Maude Frank and Arthur Niles, pioneer farming families of southern Indiana in Spencer County. She graduated from Rockport High School at the early age of 16 and later graduated from the Indiana State Teachers College (ISU) in Terre Haute, Ind. She retired from the Evansville Vanderburgh School Corp. and was a member of the Indiana Retired Teachers Association. She was a former member of St. James East United Methodist Church and was presently a member of the McCuthchanville Community Church. She was an avid bridge player and a charter member of the Evansville chapter of the Embroiderer's Guild. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph P. Falkenstein; a son, Dr. J. Niles Falkenstein; two sisters, Melba and Kathryn; and her brother, Bill.
She is survived by two daughters, Beth Taylor and her husband Tom of Hilton Head Island, S.C., and Sara Falkenstein of Arlington, Va.; a son, Mark Falkenstein and his wife Suzie of Evansville; a brother, Ralph Niles and his wife Betty of La Porte, Ind.; a stepbrother, Fred Dora of California; five grandchildren, Nick Falkenstein, Fay Thomas, David, Jessica and Steven Ogg; and a great-grandchild, Bruce Thomas.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, May 13, at Boone Funeral Home, East Chapel, 5330 Washington Ave., Evansville, officiated by the Rev. Robert Vester and Jarmon Perkins. Burial will be in Alexander cemetery near Rockport, Ind. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today, May 12, at the funeral home.
