Priscilla Sims Ruff

BOONVILLE, Ind. - Priscilla Sims Ruff, 49, of Boonville died Saturday, April 24, 1999, at her home. She was born in Owensboro, graduated from Owensboro Catholic High School in 1969 and was a Catholic. She retired from Windsor Plastics in Evansville after 17 years and was employed by Wal-Mart in Boonville for the past 11 years. She enjoyed reading and playing bingo.
Survivors include her husband of 29 years, Jim Ruff; a son, James W. Ruff of Chandler, Ind.; a daughter, Becky Ruff of Boonville; a foster son, P.J. Dockery of Evansville; six grandchildren; her mother, Dorothy H. Sims of Owensboro; two brothers, Larry M. Sims and Joe Bill Sims, both of Owensboro; a sister, Pam Sims Wells of Stanley; and several nephews and nieces.
Services are at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Koehler Funeral Home, Boonville Chapel. Burial will be in Maple Grove cemetery in Boonville. Visitation is from 2 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and after 8 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Hubert William Dauby

TELL CITY, Ind. - Hubert William Dauby, 76, of Tell City died Monday, Jan. 25, 1999, at his home. He was born in Tell City and was a Navy veteran of World War II. He owned Ohio Motor Co. in Hawesville from 1947 to 1958 and was co-owner and secretary-treasurer of Dauby Motor Co. in Tell City from 1958 until his retirement in 1982. He was a board member of Cannelton (Ind.) National Bank and was a member of Moose Lodge 1424, American Legion Post 213 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2939.
Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Cleta E. Strobel Dauby; three sons, Steven J. Dauby, Michael P. Dauby and Phillip L. Dauby, all of Tell City; a daughter, Mary Jayne Miller of Newburgh, Ind.; six grandchildren; a brother, Ralph "Otts" Dauby of Princeton, Ind.; and three sisters, Hazel Tempel of Princeton, Rose Reed of Tell City and Jessie Jo Scott of Lamar, Ind.
Services are at 10 a.m. EST Thursday at St. Paul Catholic Church in Tell City. Burial will be in St. Mary cemetery in Tell City, where the American Legion Post 213 will conduct full rites. Visitation is from 2 to 8 p.m. EST today and from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. EST Thursday at Zoercher-Gillick Funeral Home in Tell City. A prayer service will be at 6 p.m. EST today at the funeral home. A Moose Lodge service will be at 6:15 p.m. EST today at the funeral home. The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to either the Visiting Nurses Association or St. Paul Catholic Church. TELL CITY, Ind. - Vincent H. Harpenau, 82, of Tell City, Ind., died Thursday, April 22, 1999, at Scenic Hills Care Center in Ferdinand, Ind. He was born in Perry County, Ind., was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church and was an Army veteran. He retired from General Electric Co. in Tell City in 1980 after 35 years of service and enjoyed fishing and gardening.
Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Pearl Dauby Harpenau; a son, Norman C. Harpenau of Tell City; two daughters, JoAnn Shearn and Mary Emma Milburn, both of Tell City; four grandchildren; a great-grandchild; three brothers, Charles Harpenau, Adrian Harpenau and Irvin Harpenau, all of Farmer City, Ill.; and three sisters, Viola Deom of Tell City and Rita Harpenau and Delores Harpenau, both of Farmer City.
Services are at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Paul Catholic Church. Burial will be in St. Mary cemetery in Tell City where the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 2939 will conduct military rites. Visitation is from 3 to 8 p.m. today and from 8 to 9:15 a.m. Saturday at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel. A prayer service will be at 6:30 p.m. today at the funeral home. TELL CITY, Ind. - James "Clarence" Satterfield, 92, of Salem, Ind., formerly of Tell City, died Monday, April 19, 1999, at his home. He was born in Crawford County, Ind., retired from Henry Vogt Machine Co. in Louisville and was a member of Kansas Church of Christ near Salem. He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Lawalin Satterfield, in 1989; and a daughter, Edith L. Satterfield.
Survivors include three sons, Donald Ray Satterfield of Jacksonville, Fla., Dallas Satterfield of Salem and James R. Satterfield of New Albany, Ind.; seven grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Gertie Berger of West Palm Beach, Fla.
Services are at 11 a.m. Friday at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel. Burial will be in Lilly Dale cemetery in Gatchel, Ind. Visitation is from 3 to 8 p.m. today at Weathers Funeral Home in Salem and from 2 to 8 p.m. Thursday and after 8 a.m. Friday at Huber Funeral Home.
Lida Mae Wickliffe

TOBINSPORT, Ind. - Lida Mae Wickliffe, 73, formerly of Tobinsport, died Tuesday, Jan. 26, 1999, at Jewish Hospital in Louisville. She was born in Tobinsport and retired from Stewarts Dry Goods in Louisville. She was a member of Clayton Harris United Methodist Church in Tobinsport and enjoyed traveling. Her husband, William Rudolph Wickliffe, died in 1974.
Survivors include three nephews.
Services are 11 a.m. EST Friday at Clayton Harris United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Simons cemetery in Tobinsport. Visitation is from 3 to 8 p.m. EST today and from 9 to 10:30 a.m. EST Friday at Huber Funeral Home, Cannelton (Ind.) Chapel. TELL CITY, Ind. - James E. Lawrence, 73, of Jasper, Ind., died Thursday, April 22, 1999, at Providence Home Health Care Center in Jasper. He was born in Tell City, Ind., and retired in 1985 from A&G Motors in Tell City.
Survivors include a brother, Leonard Lawrence of Tell City; three sisters, Sarah Price of Tampa, Fla., June Lawrence of Tell City and Mildred Little of Hartford; and several nephews and nieces.
Services are at 2 p.m. today at Zoercher-Gillick Funeral Home in Tell City. Burial will be in Greenwood cemetery in Tell City. Visitation is after 9 a.m. today at the funeral home. Raymond Cassidy

MAGNET, Ind. - Raymond Cassidy, 81, of Magnet, Ind., died Friday, Feb. 26, 1999, at his home. He was born in Perry County, Ind., and was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church in Leopold, Ind., Knights of Columbus Council No. 1170 in Tell City and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 2939. He was an Army veteran of World War II, where he received a Purple Heart, and was a former Title One Coordinator for the Perry County School Corporation. He was co-owner and operator of Cassidy's General Store in Magnet with his wife, Mary Jean Cassidy, who also died as a result of a fire at their home.
Survivors include two sons, Neal Cassidy of Magnet and Bill Cassidy of Evansville; a daughter, Lori Cassidy of Magnet; and one granddaughter.
Services are at 11 a.m. EST Monday at St. Augustine Catholic Church. Burial will be in the church cemetery, where the VFW will conduct military services. Visitation is from 2 to 8 p.m. EST Sunday and from 8 to 10:30 a.m. EST Monday at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel. A joint Knights of Columbus and prayer service will be said at 6:30 p.m. EST Sunday at the funeral home. HATFIELD, Ind. - Mary Emma Hall, 87, of Hatfield died Monday, Jan. 25, 1999, at St. Mary's Hospital in Evansville. She was born in Holton, Ind., graduated from Louisville Baptist School of Nursing and was a member of Hatfield United Methodist Church. She was also a member of Daughters of American Revolution and was a 65-year member of Eureka Order of the Eastern Star No. 132. Her husband, Boyd Hall, died in 1974.
Survivors include three daughters, Marjorie McDonald and Mary Buchanan, both of Rockport, Ind., and Jo Ann Roop of Hatfield; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and a sister, Helen Herd of Logansport, Ind.
Services are at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Boultinghouse Funeral Home in Rockport. Burial will be in James Parker cemetery in Hatfield. Visitation is from 2 to 8 p.m. today and after 8 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. An Order of the Eastern Star memorial service will be at 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Patricia Armer

TELL CITY, Ind. - Patricia Armer, 66, of Tell City died Monday, Jan. 25, 1999, at Select Intensiva in Evansville. She was born in Chicago and retired from Pioneer Standard Electronics in Indianapolis in 1997.
Survivors include a son, David Armer of West Glacier, Mont.; and a daughter, Karen Ray of Tell City.
There will be no services or visitation. Burial will be in Mount Zion cemetery in Charleston, Ill. Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel, is in charge of arrangements. Julie Patricia Irvin

MAGNET, Ind. - Julie Patricia Irvin, 17, of Magnet died Saturday, April 10, 1999, in Spencer County, Ind., from injuries suffered in an automobile accident. She was born in Tell City, Ind., and formerly attended Crossroads Methodist Church in Magnet. She was a junior at Perry Central High School, where she was a member of the varsity volleyball team, National Honor Society, S.T.A.N.D., Pep Club, Art Club and Spanish Club. She was also a member of the varsity track team, where she was named the most valuable sprinter, and was a varsity cheerleader who enjoyed the basketball halftime performances. She enjoyed spending time with her friends and family.
Survivors include her parents, Darryl and Pat Irvin of Magnet; two brothers, Jeffrey Irvin of Bloomington, Ind., and Cliff Irvin of Magnet; and two sisters, Tracie Irvin of Evansville and Malorie Irvin of Magnet.
Services are at 1 p.m. Tuesday at First United Methodist Church in Tell City. Burial will be in Stephenson cemetery near Magnet. Visitation is from 3 to 8 p.m. today and from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Tuesday at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel. HATFIELD, Ind. -- Margaret Parker, 87, of South Bend, Ind., formerly of Hatfield, Ind., died Monday, Sept. 27, 1999, at Cardinal Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in South Bend. She was born in Hatfield, was a homemaker and 50-year member of Eureka Eastern Star No. 132 in Eureka, Ind. Her husband, Cortland Parker, died in 1992.
Survivors include a son, Jim Parker of South Bend; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two brothers, Earl Abshier of Owensboro and Charles Lee Abshier of Los Angeles; and a sister, Betty Truman of Del Ray, Fla.
