Survivors include her husband, Thomas; a daughter, Alyce Fisher of Peru, Ind.; three sons, Donald of Perry, Fla., Robert of Niles and Thomas of Phoenix, Ariz.; a sister, Alyce Block of Niles; and a brother, James Berridge of South Bend. Bass Okeechobe (Fla.) Funeral Home handled arrangements. There will be no visitation or services. Halbritter Funeral Home is handling local arrangements.

MISHAWAKA - William H. Bergh, 85, of Eisenhower Drive, died Sunday in St. Joseph's Regional Medical Center, South Bend, of natural causes. Survivors include his wife, Phyllis E. of Copper Harbor, Mich.; two daughters, Martha A. Lantz of Mishawaka and Lois J. Waldron of Coopersville, Mich.; and a brother, Paul of Caro, Mich. Survivors include his mother, Dawnette Dockery of Pierceton; his father, Tom Crowder of Fort Wayne; and a sister, Rebecca Schubert of Chesapeake, Va. SOUTH BEND - Walter J. Deranek, 89, of East LaSalle Avenue, who lived in the home of his daughter - in - law, died Monday in her home. Connie J. Hudson Gray, 54, of Greenfield, Ind., died Sept. 6, 2005, at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis.
She was a homemaker. She graduated from Eastern High School in Louisville and from Ivy Tech State College.
She is survived by her husband, Phil Gray; her mother, Ethel Hudson Tucker of Owensboro; daughter, April Camp of Indianapolis; three stepchildren; sisters, Nora Bilbro of Owensboro, Felicia Hudson of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., and Nelda Gocool of North Hutchinson Island, Fla.; and nine grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her father, Edward Hudson; brother, Dennis Hudson; and sister Betty Thompson.
Services were held at 6 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 8, at Pasco-Stillinger Funeral Home in Greenfield with the Rev. Mike Manning officiating.
James Warner 'Pop' Christian

James Warner "Pop" Christian, 70, of Vincennes, Ind., died there at 10:20 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 8, 2005, at Willow Manor. He was born July 29, 1935, in Daviess County and retired from Charley's Smorgasbord in Vincennes and also worked at Martin Marietta and was head chef at Gabe's Restaurant. He was of the Catholic faith and enjoyed watching NASCAR, fishing and Cubs baseball games and spending time with family and his dog, Benji. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bernard I. Christian and Mary Caroline Higdon Christian; brothers J.W. Christian, Lawrence Christian, Alfred Christian and Daddy Cal Christian; and a sister, Clemmie Ward.
Survivors include his wife of 17 years, Pauline Christian; a son, Scott Christian and his wife, Marla, of Owensboro; three daughters, Marsha Payne and her husband, Steve, of Owensboro, Penney Brooks of Owensboro and Tammy Newcomb and her husband, Brett, of Philpot; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; six stepgrandchildren; four stepgreat-grandchildren; a brother, Bud Christian of Owensboro; and a sister, Margaret Weber of Arlington Heights, Ill.
No service will be held. Burial is in St. Mary of the Woods cemetery at a later date. Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Haley-McGinnis Funeral Home. Prayers will be said at 7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
