NORTH WEBSTER - John G. Orzechowsi, 73, of 66 EMS W17 Lane, died at 11 a.m. Wednesday in his home. Survivors include his wife, Paulette (Lewandowski); a daughter, Nancy Morgan of North Webster; and a son, Robert of North Webster. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in Resurrection cemetery, Justice, Ill. There will be no visitation. Eastlund Funeral Home, Syracuse, is handling local arrangements.

Clois Pucheu

Dec. 28, 1927 - Sept. 19, 1998

EAU CLAIRE - Clois O'Neil Pucheu, 70, of 7270 Fifth St., died Sept. 19, in Lakeland Medical Center - St. Joseph, following an automobile accident earlier that day. Survivors include his wife, Shirley; a daughter, Christine Kelly of Vicksburg, Mich.; two sons, Scott of Berrien Springs and Brian of Eau Claire; and a sister, Clara Tomlinson of Long Beach, Miss. Memorial services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday in Community United Church of Christ. There is no visitation. Bowerman Funeral Home handled arrangements.

Henry Sears

Oct. 10, 1914 - Oct. 14, 1998

CASSOPOLIS - Henry Sears, 84, of Lakeville, formerly of Cassopolis, died Wednesday in St. Joseph's Medical Center, South Bend. Survivors include two daughters, Jane McCoy of San Francisco and Jeanette Yoder of Waco, Texas; a son, Arthur E. of Lakeville; and two sisters, Martha Nelson of Elkhart and Josephine Sturgis of Vero Beach, Fla. Services will be at 3 p.m. Sunday in Connelly Funeral Home, where friends may call from 3 to 6 p.m. Saturday.

Frank W. Snyder

June 11, 1923 - Oct. 15, 1998

ARGOS - Frank W. Snyder, 75, of 422 N. Michigan St., died Thursday in Miller's Merry Manor Nursing Home, Plymouth. Survivors include a sister, Frances Tanassy of Las Vegas. Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in Grossman Funeral Home, where friends may call two hours before services.

Geneva N. Thoben

Nov. 14, 1911 - Oct. 14, 1998

WARSAW - Geneva N. Thoben, 86, of Mason Health Care Facility, formerly of Anderson, Ind., died at 8:30 p.m. Wednesday in the health center. Survivors include two daughters, Carolyn Barrett of Syracuse and Patricia Burris of Anderson; and a sister, Ruth Sigler of Greenfield, Ind. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in Anderson Memorial Park cemetery, Anderson, where friends may call one - half hour before services in the cemetery chapel. Eastlund Funeral Home - Harris Chapel, Syracuse, is handling arrangements.

Raymond J. Thompson

Dec. 25, 1921 - Oct. 14, 1998

MILFORD - Raymond J. Thompson, 76, of 13266 N. County Road 200 West, died at 3:57 p.m. Wednesday in Goshen General Hospital, Goshen. Survivors include three sons, James of St. Petersburg, Fla., Don of Millersburg and Charles of Goshen. Services will be at 9 a.m. Saturday in New Paris Church of the Brethren. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today in Rieth, Rohrer & Ehret Funeral Home, Goshen, and a half hour before services in the church.

Betty A. Weaver

Feb. 5, 1927 - Oct. 9, 1998

ELKHART - Betty A. Weaver, 71, of Tucson, Ariz., formerly of Elkhart, died Oct. 9, in Tucson Medical Center Hospice. Survivors include two daughters, Julie Weaver of Tucson and Gayle Herman of Redmond, Wash.; a son, Richard of Elkhart; and two brothers, Edward F. Walerko of Elkhart and Frank Walerko of Mishawaka. Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Westbrook - Metz & Clouse Funeral Home, where friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday and a rosary will be said at 7:30 p.m.

George A. Eager

March 15, 1912 - Oct. 7, 1998

SOUTH BEND - George A. Eager, 86, of Libertyville, Ind., formerly of South Bend, died Oct. 7 in Winchester House, Libertyville. Survivors include a daughter, Sandra McDonald of Libertyville; a son, John of Wheaton, Ill.; four sisters, Catherine Borkowski, Adeline Otto, Irene Witkowaki and Dolores Lootens; and two brothers, John and Jerry Egierski. Memorial services will be at 11:30 a.m. Oct. 24 in Holy Cross Catholic Church. There will be no visitation. Burnett - Dane Funeral Home, Libertyville, is handling arrangements.

SOUTH BEND - Helen Louise Horvath, 79, of Haines City, Fla., formerly of South Bend, died Wednesday in Winter Haven Hospital, Winter Haven, Fla. Survivors include her husband, William P.; two daughters, Cecilia J. Slick of Toledo, Ohio, and Ethel J. Waters of Mishawaka; and three sons, Phillip of Chillicothe, Ill., Stephen of Lake City, Mich., and Charles of Melbourne Beach, Fla. Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in St. Ann's Catholic Church, Haines City. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today in Lane - Holt Funeral Home, Haines City.

SOUTH BEND - Olive A. Huffaker, 95, of Fairington Circle, died at 1:20 a.m. Thursday in Cardinal Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Survivors include two sons, Don E. of South Bend and Ray E. of Seal Beach, Calif. Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday in Hanley & Sons Funeral Home, where friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday.

SOUTH BEND - Robert L. Kingsafer, 72, of North Myrtle Street, died Wednesday in his home. Survivors include his wife, Doris Earline (Bollinger); and two daughters, Linda Kingsafer of South Bend and Toni Herron of Sheridan, Ind. Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Welsheimer Funeral Home, 521 N. William St., where friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today.

NEW CARLISLE - LaVina J. Shoue, 73, of Elm Street, died Wednesday in Memorial Hospital, South Bend. Survivors include two daughters, Bonnie Palen of New Carlisle and Kathryn Myers of South Bend; and two sons, Darryl J. of LaPorte and Ronald L. of Edwardsburg. Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in New Carlisle Community Church. Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. today in Kaniewski Funeral Home, 201 S. Filbert St.

MISHAWAKA - Emily Troyer, 100, of St. Paul's Retirement Community, South Bend, formerly of Mishawaka, died Wednesday in the retirement home. Survivors include a daughter, Viola G. Pooley of South Bend; and a son, Harry of Urbana, Ill. Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in Bubb Funeral Chapel North, 3910 N. Main St., where friends may call from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday.

Dorothy F. Bozarth

MISHAWAKA - - Dorothy F. Bozarth, 74, of West Battell Street, died Friday in Cardinal Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, South Bend. Survivors include a son, Robert M. of Bethesda, Md. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. today in St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park, Granger. There is no visitation. Palmer Funeral Home, South Bend, is handling arrangements.

Emma J. Bates

Aug. 15, 1911 - July 16, 1998

SOUTH BEND - - Emma J. Bates, 86, of Miller's Merry Manor, New Carlisle, formerly of Maple Lane Avenue, died Thursday in Memorial Hospital. Survivors include a daughter, Susan A. Sumotion of South Bend; and a son, Edwin L. of Van Wert, Ohio. There will be no services or visitation. Welsheimer Funeral Home is handling arrangements.

Joseph A. Guedry

March 28, 1927 - July 16, 1998

SOUTH BEND - - Joseph A. Guedry, 71, of Foxfire Drive, died Thursday in his home. Survivors include his wife, Sadie (Riche). Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday in Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Drive, where friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. Sunday and a prayer service and rosary will be said at 7 p.m.
