SOUTH BEND - Marjorie B. Badger, 90, of Wilder Drive, died Tuesday in her home of an illness. Survivors include two sons, Jack G. of Carmel, Ind., and Robert E. of Fairfax, Va. Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday in Evangel Heights United Methodist Church. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday in Forest G. Hay Funeral Home and one hour before services at the church Friday.

Josephine Baldoni

June 10, 1917 - April 6, 1999

MISHAWAKA - Josephine "Jo" Baldoni, 81, of Tanglewood Lane, formerly of West 11th Street, died Tuesday in Fountainview Place Nursing Home. Survivors include a daughter, Clarice Ruppe of Mishawaka; and a son, Anthony "Tony" of Mishawaka. Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday in Hahn Funeral Home, where friends may call from 3 to 7 p.m. Thursday and a wake prayer will be at 5 p.m.

John A. Brown

Nov. 7, 1921 - April 6, 1999

SOUTH BEND - John A. Brown, 77, of Craig Road, died at 12:15 a.m. Tuesday in Saint Joseph's Regional Medical Center - South Bend, after an illness. Survivors include his wife, Audrey G. (Gillespie); a daughter, Jenny McBride of Westville; a sister, Mary Timothy of Farmington Hills, Mich.; and two brothers, James R. "Bill" of Midland, Mich., and Thomas J. of West Bloomfield, Mich. Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday in St. Jude Catholic Church. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday in St. Joseph Funeral Home, 1827 E. Ireland Road, where a parish rosary will be said at 3 p.m.

Joseph F. Clark

Jan. 12, 1947 - April 6, 1999

SOUTH BEND - Joseph F. Clark, 52, of 25th Street, died Tuesday in his home, after an illness. Survivors include seven children; a sister, Yvonnie J. Boynton of Midland, Mich.; and four brothers, Archie J. of Skidway Lake, Mich., Jack R. of Midland, Rocky J. of Cassopolis and Clark W. of Mishawaka. Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday in Forest G. Hay Funeral Home, where friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday.

Martha A. Clark

Aug. 9, 1910 - April 6, 1999

SYRACUSE - Martha Adelia (Whetten) Clark, 88, of 15716 County Road 56, died at 2 p.m. Tuesday in her home. Survivors include five daughters, JoAnn Hoover and Anita Whetten, both of New Paris, Sue Baker of Syracuse, Nancy Peterson of Milford and Carolyn Hull of Ligonier; four sons, Larry Whetten of Edwardsburg, Jerry Whetten of New Paris, Marvin Whetten of Baldwin, Mich., and Gary Whetten of Syracuse; and a sister, Helen Shock of Goshen. Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday in Eastlund Funeral Home, Harris Chapel, where friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday.

Donald W. Friend

Aug. 15, 1922 - April 5, 1999

NILES - Donald W. Friend, 76, of 1280 Barron Lake Road, died Monday in Hospice House of St. Joseph County. Survivors include his wife, Marion "June" (Pape); a son, Richard D. of Jacksonville, Ill.; and a sister, Velma Atkinson of Mishawaka. Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Halbritter Funeral Home, where friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. today.

Walter A. Friske Sr.

June 2, 1913 - April 5, 1999

DOWAGIAC - Walter A. Friske Sr. 85, of 55240 Colby St., died at 3 p.m. Monday in his son's Dowagiac home of natural causes. Survivors include a daughter, Velma Morford of Dowagiac; two sons, Walter Jr. of Dowagiac and David of Cassopolis; and two brothers, George of Watervliet and John of Elwood, Ill. Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday in Groner Funeral Home, where friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday.

Helen L. Forrester

Jan. 16, 1919 - April 5,1999

MISHAWAKA - Helen L. Forrester, 80, of Titusville, Fla., formerly of Mishawaka, died Monday in Titusville Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Survivors include a son, Roger Hagle of Stuart, Fla.; a sister, Lorene Petree of Mishawaka; and a brother, Harry Von Allmen of Franklin, Wis. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Friday in Fairview cemetery Mausoleum. There will be no visitation. Bubb Funeral Chapel North is handling arrangements.

Elmer E. Griffin

Oct 4, 1914 - April 5, 1999

CULVER - Elmer E. Griffin, 84, of Cape Coral, Fla., formerly of Culver, died Monday in Coral Trace Nursing Home, Cape Coral. Survivors include his wife, Sally A. (Keller). Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Riverside Memorial cemetery, Monterey. Bonine Funeral Home is handling arrangements.

Jake W. Hawkins Jr.

Sept. 24, 1936 - April 4, 1999

SOUTH BEND - Jake William Hawkins Jr., 62, of North Johnson Street, died Sunday in his home of natural causes. Survivors include his wife, Alberta; three daughters, Sandra Hawkins, Adena Hawkins and Angela Hawkins, all of South Bend; a son, Ronald of South Bend; three sisters, Patricia Herron, Elenor Henderson and Diane Hawkins, all of South Bend; and seven brothers, Joseph, Edwin and Sydney, all of Michigan City, Tom of San Jose, Calif., George of South Bend, Kenneth of Dallas and Welch of Los Angeles. Services will be at noon Friday in First AME Zion Church, where friends may call one hour before services. Alford's Mortuary is handling arrangements.

Timothy R. Johnigan

Feb. 1, 1949 - March 31, 1999

ELKHART - Timothy R. Johnigan, 50, of 803 W. Wolf Ave., died March 31 in Elkhart General Hospital, after an illness. Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Hartzler - Gutermuth - Inman Funeral Home. There will be no visitation.

Flossie E. Keller

May 20, 1912 - April 5, 1999

SOUTH BEND - Flossie E. Keller, 86, of South 25th Street, died Monday in her granddaughter's home in Longwood, Fla. Survivors include a sister, Vivian M. Freed of Elkhart. Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday in River Park United Methodist Church. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday in Palmer Funeral Home, South Bend.

Charles A. Long

Dec. 21, 1919 - April 6, 1999

ROCHESTER - Charles A. Long, 79, of 1215 Pontiac St., died Tuesday in ExtendaCare, of natural causes. Survivors include his wife, Elsie J. (Bish); two sons, Donald R. of Peru, Ind., and Thomas J. of Rochester; three sisters, Clara Finney and Erma Copeland, both of Rochester, and Carol Azbell of North Vernon, Ind.; and four brothers, Orville of Bradenton, Fla., Merle of Jeffersonville, Ind., Harold of Canton, Mich., and Donald of Perrysburg, Ohio. Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday in Zimmerman Family Funeral Home, where friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday and one hour before services Friday.

WHITE PIGEON - Russell E. Morehouse, 82, of 10249 U.S. 12 W., died Tuesday in his home. Survivors include his wife, Gladys E.; a son, Scott of South Bend; and five stepsons, Norman E. Blyly of White Pigeon, Jerry D. Blyly of Goshen, Edward E. Blyly of Elkhart, Ronald L. Blyly of Osceola and Albert D. Blake of Grand Haven, Mich. Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Walley - Mills - Zimmerman Funeral Home, Elkhart, where friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday.

NORTH JUDSON - Helen Mosher, 98, of Cherry Hill, N.J., formerly of North Judson, died Sunday in Cadbury Retirement Home, Cherry Hill. Survivors include a son, Donald of Glassboro, N.J. Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in O'Donnell Funeral Home, where friends may call one hour before services.

SOUTH BEND - Carrie B. Palka, 88, of West Poland Street, died Tuesday in Hospice House of St. Joseph County. Survivors include a sister, Joan Przestwor of South Bend. Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday in St. Adalbert Catholic Church. Friends may call from 2 to 7 p.m. Thursday in St. Joseph Funeral Home, 824 S. Mayflower Road, South Bend, where a rosary will be said at 4 p.m.

MISHAWAKA - Betty M. Sargent, 77, of South Spring Street, died Monday in Countryside Place Nursing Home. Survivors include her husband, Donald; two sisters, Joyce Marchant of Mishawaka and Wanda Roth of Edwardsburg; and a brother, Charles Lindzy of South Bend. Services will at at 11 a.m. Thursday in St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park Mausoleum, Granger. Hahn Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
