Beulah (The Cake Lady) Lindley
Beulah "The Cake Lady" Lindley, 94, Kokomo, died at 12:23 p.m. March 4, 2000, at Windsor Estates Health and Rehab Center there.
Mrs. Lindley was a homemaker, and catered weddings and special occasions for more than 47 years.
She was a 1924 graduate of New London High School and taught school for a few years. She was a member of First Friends Meeting and a former member of West Middleton Friends Church. She was a Tipton County 4 - H leader, and a member of the Prairie Home Economics Club in Tipton County.
She was born Sept. 10, 1905, in New London, to W. Earl and Bertha Floyd Stout. She married
Clarence J. Lindley on June 26, 1927, and he died April 14, 1992.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Stout & Son Funeral Home, Russiaville, with the Rev. Nick Block and Harold Pitts officiating. Burial will follow at New London cemetery near Russiaville. Friends may call from 3 - 5 and 6 - 8 p.m. today.
Memorials may be made to Gideons International or First Friends Meeting, with envelopes available at the funeral home.
Thornton C. Floyd
Thornton C. Floyd, 86, formerly of 259 W. Wabash St., died at 8 a.m. March 5, 2000, at Clinton House Convalescent Center.
Mr. Floyd was a retired mechanic and had worked at the Chevrolet garage in Frankfort. He was a lifetime member of Gem City Eagles Lodge, Frankfort.
He was born May 26, 1913, in Clinton County, to Clyde Claude and Nora R. Floyd. He married
Sarah Smith in 1966, and she died Nov. 10, 1992.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Goodwin Funeral Home, with the Rev. Ed Eby officiating. Burial will follow at Green Lawn Memorial Park. Friends may call one hour prior to services.
Infant Paul Michael Bruton
Infant Paul Michael Bruton, son of Michael Wayne and Angela Jane Friedrich Bruton, 3114 W. CR 200S, Frankfort, died at 10:25 p.m. March 2, 2000, at St. Vincent Family Life Center, Indianapolis, due to extreme prematurity.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by maternal grandparents Karl and Carolyn Friedrich, rural Frankfort; paternal grandparents, Roger and Karen Bruton, rural Frankfort; maternal great - grandmother Betty Friedrich, rural Frankfort; and paternal great - grandmothers, Elizabeth Waye of Crawfordsville and Evie Jane Bruton of Lafayette.
Graveside services will take place at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Green Lawn Babyland, with Pastor Shan Sheridan officiating. No calling is planned. Goodwin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements and services.
John 'Jack' Huston Paull
John "Jack" Huston Paull, 72, 301 E. Kyger St., died at 10 a.m. Feb. 28, 2000, at his home after a lengthy illness.
Mr. Paull retired from the Cleveland, Ohio, Police Department in 1982, where he worked 27 years as a patrol officer. He lived in Euclid, Ohio, for 30 years before moving to Frankfort.
He was a 1945 graduate of Georges Township High School in Uniontown, Pa. He was U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. He attended Lakewood, Ohio, Methodist Church, and was a member of Frankfort Fraternal Order of Police, Frankfort Moose Lodge 7 and Kirklin American Legion.
He was born Sept. 2, 1927, in High House, Pa., to Harry J. and Edith H. Doyle Paull. He married
Evelyn June Summers in Euclid, Ohio, on Jan. 20, 1973, and she survives.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Whitmarsh Funeral Home in Fairchance, Pa. Burial will follow at Walnut Hill cemetery there. Visitation will be from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Charles Don (Pinkie) Chandler
Charles Don "Pinkie" Chandler, 76, Naples, Fla., died Feb. 23, 2000, at Community Hospital there.
Mr. Chandler formerly lived in Indianapolis and worked for Stark and Wentzel until 1976. He also was a musician, and known for his band, Pinkie Chandler and the Swing Chandlers, in Frankfort, and The Tempos in Florida.
He was a graduate of Frankfort High School, and a U.S. Air Force veteran of World War II.
Memorial services were Feb. 26 at Johnson - Pittman Funeral Home, in Naples, with the Rev. J. David Woerner officiating.

Robert E. Ortman
Robert E. Ortman, 79, Kokomo, died at 5:45 p.m. March 12, 2000, at Windsor Estates Health and Rehab Center there.
Mr. Ortman was a farmer. He also was co - founder and president of Kokomo Grain, and former co - owner of Star City Elevator.
He was a 1937 graduate of Clay Township High School and 1941 graduate of Purdue University. He was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church and the Kokomo Kiwanis. He also served as a county councilman from 1968 - 72.
He was born Aug. 13, 1920, in Clay Township, Howard County, to John B. and Josephine Kerby Ortman. He married
Eva Jane Payne in Kokomo on Oct. 8, 1941, and she survives.
Mass of Christian burial will take place at 11 a.m. Thursday at the church, with the Rev. Ted Dudzinski officiating. Burial will follow at at Sunset Memory Gardens cemetery. Friends may call from 4 - 8 p.m. Wednesday at Stout & Son Funeral Home, Russiaville, with a scripture service at 8.

Larry L. Skaggs
Larry L. Skaggs, 74, Lebanon, died Feb. 26, 2000, in North Fort Myers, Fla., where he spent winter months.
Mr. Skaggs was a farmer and livestock buyer. He owned and operated Rockville Packing Co. and Skaggs Paint and Carpet in Clinton, where he lived 35 years. He had been a Lebanon resident the past three years.
He was a graduate of Jamestown High School. He was a former member and elder of First Christian Church in Clinton, and a member of First Baptist Church, Lebanon.
He was born Aug. 14, 1925, in Jamestown, to Walter and Monta Skaggs. He married
Eileen Schooler, and she survives.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Myers Mortuary, Lebanon, with the Rev. David Grieger and the Rev. Raymond Duff officiating. Burial will follow at Old Union cemetery near Jamestown. Friends may call from 4 - 8 p.m. Thursday.

John A. DeLaCroix
John A. DeLaCroix, 86, 2749 E. Wabash St., died March 10, 2000, at his home following a brief illness.
Mr. DeLaCroix worked as an Indiana Internal Revenue Service auditor from 1963 - 84. He also was a farmer. He had lived in Clinton County since 1956.
He was a 1941 graduate of Purdue University, and a member of Purdue Alumni. He also was a member of St. Matthew United Methodist Church and Farm Bureau, and was active in Boy Scouting.
He was born Nov. 11, 1913, in Harrison, Ohio, to Clifford J. and Bertie Barber DeLaCroix. He married
V. Jane Horne on June 8, 1941, and she died Nov. 14, 1994.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Frye & Genda Funeral Home, with the Rev. Lore Gibson and the Rev. John Wortinger officiating. Entombment will follow at Green Lawn cemetery Mausoleum. Friends may call from 4 - 8 p.m. Thursday.
Clarence Allen (Spanky) Bray
Clarence Allen "Spanky" Bray, 57, 1200 Second St., died unexpectedly at 11:26 a.m. March 6, 2000, at the emergency room of St. Vincent Frankfort Hospital.
Mr. Bray was a set - up man at Federal Mogul and retired after 30 years. He attended Clinton Central schools.
He was born Jan. 16, 1943, in Nicholasville, Ky., to Nathan and Ruby Smith Bray Jones. He married
Bonnie Jean Lamb on Oct. 22, 1972, and she survives.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Goodwin Funeral Home, with the Rev. Lewis Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Green Lawn Memorial Park. Friends may call from 6 - 8 p.m. today.
Alva Richard Norris Jr.
Alva Richard Norris Jr., 78, Sandy, Utah, died Feb. 18, 2000, at his home.
Mr. Norris worked 16 years for Nickel Plate Railroad. He was a telegraph operator for Western Pacific Railroad in Elko, Nev., from 1957 until he retired in 1983. He had lived in Utah three years.
He was a 1939 graduate of Scircleville High School and a former member of the Frankfort Moose Lodge. He was a World War II veteran and fought at Utah Beach.
He was born May 24, 1921, in Frankfort, to Alva Richard and Pearl Etta Woods Norris. He married
Kathleen Smeltzer and they divorced. He married
Betty Jo Gumm and they divorced. He married
Clara Ann Luthi in Wendover, and she survives.
There were no funeral services.
H. Maxine Bullock
H. Maxine Bullock, 82, Rossville, died at 10:55 a.m. Feb. 21, 2000, at Twin Lakes Village Nursing Center, Monticello. She had been a resident there for four years and in failing health the past two years.
Miss Bullock was a caregiver to her parents. She grew up in the Kingman and Chalmers area, lived on a farm near Owasco from 1942 - 71, and had been a Rossville resident since 1972. She was a 1935 graduate of Chalmers High School.
She was born Dec. 1, 1917, near Kingman in Fountain County, to Ben and Ruth Roach Bullock.
Private graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Rossville cemetery. Bodine Funeral Home, Rossville, is in charge of arrangements.
Jeanette Snyder
Jeanette Snyder, 95, Rossville, died Feb. 24, 2000, at Milner Community Healthcare Center there, where she had been a resident since November 1995.
Mrs. Snyder was a homemaker. She was a 1923 Camden High School graduate, and had lived in Clinton and Carroll counties. She was a member of Rossville Presbyterian Church, and a member and past worthy matron of Rossville Order of Eastern Star Helen Bonebrake Chapter.
She was born Sept. 30, 1904, in Elwood, to Charles and Minnie Briggs Spitler. She married
Charles A. Snyder in 1927, and he died in 1964.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Bodine Funeral Home, Rossville, with Dr. Fred Page officiating. Burial will follow at Rossville cemetery. Calling hours are 5 - 7 p.m. Sunday.
