Marilyn Sue Jacoby
Marilyn Sue Jacoby, 68, 5903 N. CR 880E, Forest, died at 4:40 p.m. Feb. 6, 1999, at St. Joseph Hospital, Kokomo, following a lengthy illness.

Mrs. Jacoby was a homemaker. She grew up in Frankfort, had lived in Peru four years and New Albany 23 years. She had lived in Forest the past 10 years.

She was a member of West Point Christian Church, Russiaville, and taught Sunday school at Central Christian Church in New Albany. She also was a counselor for the ``Contact Rap" call - in program in New Albany.

She was a 1948 graduate of Frankfort High School and attended Indiana University Southeast in New Albany.

She was born Sept. 27, 1930, in Frankfort, to Leo and LaVonne Richardson Hollis. She married Laird E. Jacoby in Lebanon in Sept. 12, 1948, and he survives.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Miller - Weston Funeral Home, with the Rev. J.P. Hill officiating. Burial will follow at Green Lawn cemetery. Friends may call from 6 - 8 p.m. Tuesday.

Memorials may be made to the Michigantown Ambulance Service.

Elizabeth A. Perrel
Elizabeth A. Perrel, 62, 1301 Burlington Ave., died unexpectedly at 4:30 p.m. May 4, 1999, at Clinton County Hospital.

Mrs. Perrel worked at Clinton County Bank and NBD 38 1/2 years, and retired in 1993. She also worked at Frankfort Pharmacy.

She was a lifelong Clinton County resident and a 1954 graduate of Forest High School. She was a member and current treasurer of the Frankfort Business & Professional Women's Club, and a member of Forest United Methodist Church.

She was born June 21, 1936, in Clinton County, to Martin H. and Pauline C. McQuinn Davis. She married Norman Perrel on Dec. 31, 1954, and he survives.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Frye & Genda Funeral Home, with the Rev. Emmett Ade officiating. Burial will follow at St. Paul cemetery, Forest. Friends may call from 4 - 9 p.m. Thursday.

Memorials may be made to the Friends of the Frankfort Library.

Ethel 'Jane' Galey
Ethel ``Jane" Galey, 78, 1307 S. Second St., died at 7 a.m. Sept. 19, 1999, at her home.

Mrs. Galey had lived in Frankfort since 1942. She worked at Hick Body Co. from 1942 - 44, making Army buses during World War II. She then was a press operator at National Cigar Co. from 1953 - 56.

She was a member of First Church of the Nazarene and Frankfort Eagles Auxiliary. She attended Crooked Creek School in Indianapolis.

She was born July 11, 1921, in Indianapolis, to Theodore P. and Edna Mae Beard Bailey. She married Loney Warren Galey Jr. on Sept. 29, 1941, and he died Jan. 8, 1981.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Goodwin Funeral Home, with the Rev. Earl Roustio and Pastor Ed Eby officiating. Burial will follow at Bunnell cemetery. Calling hours are 2 - 4 and 6 - 8 p.m. Tuesday, with an Eagles Auxiliary service at 7.

Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association, with envelopes available at the funeral home.

Roy L. Cody
Roy L. Cody, 84, Russiaville, died at 9:43 a.m. June 29, 1997, at Howard Community Hospital, Kokomo.

Mr. Cody retired from Chrysler Corp., Kokomo, after 30 years.

He was born May 16, 1913, in Beech Grove, Va., to Henry and Kate Johnson Cody. He married Edna Eden, and she survives.

He also is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Jim (Norma) Daugherty and Mrs. Bill (Wanda) Martin, both of Russiaville; Mrs. Lee (Sandra) Sines of Frankfort, and Judy Rule of Fremont, Calif.; a brother, Jesse Cody of Orleans; seven grandchildren, and five great - grandchildren.

Earl Chester Galey
Earl Chester Galey, 73, Lafayette, died at 8:20 a.m. Nov. 12, 1999, at Home Hospital there. He had been in ill health for the past five years.

Mr. Galey was a power plant engineer for the Indiana Veterans Home for eight years. He had also worked at the Caterpillar Plant in Oklahoma City, Okla., where he lived for a brief time. He had been a resident of Lafayette since 1989. He had also lived in Fort Smith, Ark.

He attended Frankfort schools, and was a member of Grace Baptist Church, West Lafayette. He was also a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1154, Disabled American Veterans and a life member of American Legion Post 492.

He was born Sept. 29, 1926, in Frankfort, to Lonnie and Sylvia Alexandria Galey. He married Darlene Schley in Lafayette on Sept. 2, 1979, and she survives.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Hippensteel Funeral Home, Lafayette, with Pastor Walt Willett officiating. Interment will follow at Tippecanoe Memory Gardens, West Lafayette, with American Legion graveside services. Friends may call one hour prior to services.

Evelyn R. Richards
Evelyn R. Richards, 81, 1357 W. McClurg St., died at 9:40 a.m. Dec. 5, 1999, at her home following a lengthy illness.

Mrs. Richards worked 10 years at Federal Mogul and retired in 1981. She also worked 17 years as a school crossing guard, and had retired in September.

She was owner and operator of the White Spot restaurant in Frankfort during the 1950s, and had worked at Indiana Brass, Stark & Wetzel, a cigar factory, Basley's, and Main Street Meat Market.

She was a 1936 graduate of Frankfort High School and a member of Women of the Moose. She also was leader of the Federal Mogul retirees' monthly meetings.

She was born Nov. 8, 1918, in Frankfort, to Albert V. and Anna L. Lane Wills. She married Albert L. Richards in Frankfort on April 16, 1938, and he died Jan. 7, 1993.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Miller - Weston Funeral Home, with the Rev. Charles E. Burgen officiating. Burial will follow at Bunnell cemetery. Friends may call from 4 - 8 p.m. Wednesday.

Memorials may be made to Lafayette Hospice, with envelopes available at the funeral home.

William Robison Jr.
William Robison Jr., 88, 1014 Coin Lane, died at 10:50 p.m. Dec. 31, 1999, at Mulberry Lutheran Home.

Mr. Robison was a self - employed attorney for 63 years, and was a partner in the law firm of Robison Robison Bergum & Johnson.

He served as prosecuting attorney from 1942 - 43 and 1946 - 47, as Clinton County attorney from 1948 - 51 and 1962 - 65, and as Frankfort city attorney from 1952 - 55.

He was a graduate of Frankfort High School and earned degrees from Wabash College, Duke University and Indiana University. He was admitted to the bar in 1936.

He was a member of Phi Delta Phi and Phi Beta Kappa fraternities. He also was a member of the Clinton County Bar Association and life member of the Indiana State Bar Association. He also was a member of the National Geographic Society and a 50 - year member of the Travelers Protection Association of America.

He served in the U.S. Marine Corps in the South Pacific during World War II, and was a life member of V.F.W. Post 1110 and a 50 - year member of the American Legion.

He was born Sept. 15, 1911, in Frankfort, to William and Mabel Brown Robison Sr.

No services are planned. Miller - Weston Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Leona E. Konopa
Leona E. Konopa, 82, Beloit, Wis., died Oct. 20, 1999, at Beloit Memorial Hospital.

Mrs. Konopa was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Thomas Catholic Church and a former member of its altar society. She also was an active participant at the Grinnell Senior Center.

She was born Jan. 26, 1917, in Day Township, Marathon County, Wis., to Martin and Anna Straus Mayer. She married Frank Edward Konopa in Milladore, Wis., on Sept. 25, 1934, and he survives.

Funeral Mass was observed Oct. 23 at the church, with Father Thomas Doheny officiating. Burial followed at Mt. Thabor cemetery. Daley, Murphy, Wisch and Associates Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements and services.

Memorials may be made to Caritas.

Lonzie L. Goode Sr.
Lonzie L. Goode Sr., 81, Thorntown, died at 2:13 p.m. March 1, 2000, at Witham Hospital, Lebanon.

Mr. Goode had worked at Hicks Body Co. in Lebanon, then Continental Freezer in Lafayette for many years. He worked for Streamline Trailer in Thorntown from 1960 - 74, and at Endron in Thorntown from 1974 - 95.

He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, serving from 1941 - 45 in the Philippines and at Pearl Harbor. He was a member of Walnut Grove Church, Thorntown.

He was born Oct. 18, 1918, in Liberty, Ky., to Lambert and Dema Wethington Goode. He married Clara Fairfield in Thorntown on Sept. 25, 1947, and she died April 8, 1987.

Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Russell & Hitch Funeral Home, Thorntown, with the Rev. Bud Moody officiating. Burial with military rites will follow at Maplelawn cemetery, Thorntown. Friends may call from 4 - 8 p.m. Friday.

Olive L. Roth
Olive L. Roth, 81, Rossville, died at 1:50 p.m. March 6, 2000, at Home Hospital, Lafayette after a lengthy illness.

Mrs. Roth worked 37 years for Kresge and Kmart department stores, and retired in 1987. Formerly of the Cutler area, she had lived in Rossville since 1939. She was a 1936 graduate of Cutler High School, and a member of Rossville United Methodist Church.

She was born May 2, 1918, in Cutler, to Cleo and Mary Biesecker Davis. She married Henry S. Roth on Oct. 30, 1937, and he died Jan. 23, 1972.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Bodine Funeral Home, Rossville, with Dr. Fred Page officiating. Burial will follow at Rossville cemetery. Friends may call from 5 - 8 p.m. Wednesday.

Memorials may be made to the Rossville Public Library.

Eldo J. Shively
Eldo J. Shively, 96, Rossville, died at 10:45 p.m. Feb. 22, 2000, at St. Elizabeth Health Care Center, Delphi.

Mr. Shively was a lifelong farmer. He farmed on the DeLong farm north of Rossville for 52 years until he retired in 1985 and moved to Rossville. He also had lived a year in Kokomo and six years in Flora.

He attended West Point School and was a member of North Fork Old German Baptist Church.

He was born June 9, 1903, in Ross Township, Clinton County, to John H. and Mary Metzger Shively. He married Leta Marie Royer on Sept. 23, 1923, and she died Feb. 5, 1986.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the church, with the home brethren officiating. Burial will follow at North Fork Old German Baptist cemetery. Friends may call 3 - 5:30 and 6 - 8 p.m. Saturday at Bodine Funeral Home, Rossville.
