ALEXANDRIA — Vivian Fulk, 93, died Feb. 5, 2005, at Community Hospital Anderson, following an extended illness. Arrangements are pending at Noffze Funeral Home, Alexandria.

Diana J. Moore
June 19, 1935 - Feb. 4, 2005

YORKTOWN — Diane J. (Rouse) Moore, 69, died Feb. 4, 2005, at Ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie after a sudden illness.

She was born June 19, 1935, in Anderson where she resided until 1968. She then moved to Columbus, Ohio, for 28 years, and returned to the Anderson area in 1994.

She had been employed as chief financial officer for DMI Distribution.

Her faith was with the Church of God. She was a member of the Eagles Lodge; Moose Lodge and Order of Eastern Star. She will be sadly missed by her loving husband, Duaine, and son, Charles and family.

Survivors include her husband, Charles “Duaine” Moore Sr., of Anderson, whom she married Dec. 10, 1954, in Anderson; her son, Charles Moore Jr. and wife Sue of Winchester; three grandchildren, Charles Moore III, Jaclyn H. Moore and Tyler R. Moore, all of Winchester; and several cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Elmer and Myrtle “Betty” (Temple) Rouse.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Robert D. Loose Funeral Homes and Crematory, South Chapel, 200 W. 53rd St., Anderson, with interment in the mausoleum at Anderson Memorial Park cemetery.

Calling hours are from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the south chapel.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association.

Betty J. Passwater
June 28, 1931 - Feb. 5, 2005

Betty J. (Johnson) Passwater, 73, of Anderson, died Feb. 5, 2005, at her daughter’s residence following an extended illness due to complications of Parkinson’s Disease.

She was born June 28, 1931, in Alexandria. She moved to Anderson, where she lived most of her adult life, then relocated to Auburndale, Fla, after retirement and returned to Anderson four years ago.

She was a graduate of Alexandria High School, Class of 1949.

In 1982, she retired as the supervisor of Delco Remy Plant 7 following 30 years of service. In Florida, she worked as a home health caregiver for 10 years.

She was named “1981 Boss of the Year,” by the American Business Women’s Association. She loved to care for her family and loved ones. For all those who knew and loved her, she was a true angel on earth.

Betty is survived by her husband, Raymond Passwater of Anderson, whom she married June 27, 1953, in Alexandria; two children, Tara Jo and husband Tony King of Anderson and Danny Ray and wife Patricia Passwater of Anderson; brothers, C. Fred and wife Norma Johnson of Leesburg, Fla., and Raymond Max and wife Carol Johnson of Orestes; brother-in-law, Dale Baker of Anderson; seven grandchildren, Kimberly Engle, Samantha Passwater, Melissa (King) and husband Jason Rigdon, Dorothy (King) and husband Josh Smith, Dustin Kirkwood, Ben Kirkwood and Patrick Kirkwood, all of Anderson; great-grandchildren, Jackson Burns, Kaitlyn Burton and Victoria Burton, all of Anderson; and several nieces and nephews.

The family extends a special “thank you” to the staff at Countryside Manor Healthcare Center, to St. John’s Hospice and to Dr. Larry Blankenship and Dr. Robert Anderson.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents, Alva Robert and Leatha Maude (Howerton) Johnson; a sister, Beatrice Baker of Anderson (who also died Feb. 5, 2005); brothers, Robert Lee Johnson, Harry Johnson, Claude Johnson, Harley Paul Johnson, Clyde Johnson and Clayton Johnson.

Private memorial services have been held and cremation will take place.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Parkinson’s Awareness Association of Central Indiana Inc., 4755 Kingsway Drive, Suite 333, Indianapolis, IN 46205-1560.

Arrangements were handled by Robert D. Loose Funeral Homes and Crematory, Anderson.

Henrietta Chadd
Aug. 22, 1917 - Feb. 3, 2005

RICHMOND — Henrietta (Kuklenski) Chadd, 87, died Feb. 3, 2005, at Beverly-Golden Rule after a long illness.

She was born Aug. 22, 1917, in Anderson, to Antony and Kamilia (Sokolowski) Kuklenski, and lived in Richmond for 65 years.

She and her husband formerly owned, Richmond Laundry and Dry Cleaning and Richmond Coin Laundry at the corner of South Tenth and E streets in Richmond.

She was a member of St. Andrew’s Catholic Church and St. Anne’s Alter Society.

Henrietta leaves her two daughters, Patricia and husband Bob Groff of Richmond and Linda and husband David Mauller-Browning of Bel Air, Md.; three grandchildren, Cheryl and husband Keith Weatherholt, Karen and husband Kip Coates and Larry and wife Tammy Groff; seven great-grandchildren, James, Megan, Michelle, Tyler, Katelyn, Zack and Josh; her brother, William Kuklenski of Anderson; three sisters, Frances Frazier, Lucille Owens and Genevieve Stanley, all of Anderson; and several nieces and nephews.

Henrietta’s husband, Everett Chadd, died in 1983; her son, Donald Chadd in 1959; and four brothers and a sister are also deceased.

A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be conducted at 2 p.m. today at St. Andrew’s Catholic Church, officiated by the Rev. Todd Riebe. Burial will take place at St. Andrew’s cemetery.

Friends may call one hour prior to the service today at the church.

Memorial contributions may be made to: Seton Catholic Schools, c/o Richmond Catholic Office, 240 S. Sixth St., Richmond, IN 47374 or to the Alzheimer’s Association, 9135 N. Meridian St., Suite B-4, Indianapolis, IN 46209.

Arrangements are being handled by Stegall-Berheide-Orr Funeral Home, Richmond.

Roy A. Butcher

NEW CASTLE — Roy A. Butcher, 79, former Wilkinson resident, passed away Feb. 6, 2005, at Heritage House Nursing Home in New Castle.

Survivors include his wife, Betty Butcher; daughters, Hava Butcher and Angela and husband Thomas Hedrick; sons, Richard Butcher, George Butcher and Allen Butcher; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; brothers Jim Butcher and John Butcher; and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Condo & Son Funeral Home, 130 W. Main St., Wilkinson. Burial will take place at Simmons cemetery.

Friends may call from noon until 2 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

M. Maurettia Waymire

FRANKTON — Mary Maurettia Waymire, 92, died Feb. 5, 2005, at Rawlins House in Pendleton.

Arrangements are pending at Harper & Dunnichay Funeral Home, Frankton.

James D. Cody Jr.

James D. Cody Jr., 54, of Anderson, died Feb. 5, 2005, at St. John’s Medical Center, following an extended illness.

Arrangements are pending at Robert D. Loose Funeral Homes and Crematory, Anderson.

Antonia R. Casas
Dec. 17, 1921 - Feb. 4, 2005

ELWOOD — Antonia “Toni” R. Casas, 83, died Feb. 4, 2005, at St. Vincent Mercy Hospital in Elwood.

She was a homemaker.

Survivors include her husband, Guadalupe Casas; daughters, Hilda Casas, Yolanda Casas, Dora Reed and Isabell Rodriguez; son, Guadalupe and wife Anita Casas; 9 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.

Mass of Christian Burial 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 1306 S. A Street, Elwood., officiated by Father Paul Cochran. Interment at St. Joseph Catholic cemetery, Country Club Road, Elwood.

Visitation hours, from 2 to 8 p.m. Monday at Dunnichay Funeral Home, 1113 S. Anderson St., Elwood, will include a 7 p.m. Rosary recitation.

Lois E. Darnell
Dec. 24, 1932 - Feb. 3, 2005

PONCA CITY, OKLA. — Lois Evlyn (Hensley) Darnell, 72, former Indiana resident, died Feb. 3, 2005, at her residence.

She was a retired employee of the American Legion Children’s Home.

Survivors include daughters, Julie Fitch of Anderson, Rosie Boyer and Teresa DeHaven; son, Larry Darnell; sisters, Jackie McKinney, Helen Veenker, Rose Marie Baldwin and Mary Ann Manley; brother, Ernie Hensley; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

There will be no service or visitation.

Arrangements are being handled by Grace Memorial Chapel, 2016 N. 14th St., Ponca City, OK.

Clare T. Hart
Aug. 29, 1951 - Feb. 4, 2005

LEWISTOWN, PA. — Clare T. Hart, 53, died Feb. 4, 2005, at her residence.

She had been employed at Paychex, Inc.

Survivors include her husband, William R. Hart; children, Michelle Taylor, Candy and husband Ryan Snyder, Richard and wife Kelly Strausburg, Robert and wife Wendy Strausburg, and Taylor D. Clark; her sister, Tina Druckenmiller; and 11 grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 8 p.m. Monday at Hoenstine Funeral Home, 75 Logan St., Lewistown, Pa.

Visitation two hours prior to the Monday service at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 26 N. Brown St., Lewistown, PA 17044.

Marilyn J. Keep
Feb. 24, 1940 - Feb. 3, 2005

Marilyn Jean Keep, 64, of Anderson, passed away Feb. 3, 2005, at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis, following an extended illness.

Marilyn was born Feb. 24, 1940, in Marion, the daughter of Arthur and Geraldine (R. Rodgers) Rude.

Marilyn graduated from the Franklin School System.

She worked in the community, at the polls during elections and as a coordinator for crime watch.

Marilyn was also known to be a very caring and giving person. She participated in various fund-raising events to help people in need.

She is survived by one son, David A. Keep; a daughter, Dana R. and husband Virgil Bledsoe; her brother, William Rude; her sister, Patricia McLaughlin; seven grandchildren, Bambi Keep, David Keep Jr., Michelle Keep, Christopher Bledsoe, Michael Zook, Ashley Zook and Nicole Bledsoe; and a great-granddaughter, Katelyn Brigman. Also surviving is a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and other relative and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Geraldine (R. Rodgers) Rude.

Services will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday at L. C. May Funeral Services, 2024 Madison Ave., Anderson, officiated by the Rev. Keith Moreen. At Marilyn’s request, cremation was selected.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the Wednesday service in the chapel at the funeral home.
