Dwight L. Roth, 74, formerly of rural Decatur, died at 7:40 p.m. Tuesday in Hospice Home of Northeast Indiana, Fort Wayne. Funeral arrangements are pending at Zwick and Jahn Funeral Home, Decatur.

Earl W. Richman
Earl W. Richman, 64, Hoagland, died Sunday at Parkview Hospital, Fort Wayne.
Surviving are his wife, Delores; two daughters; three sons; two sisters, including Donna Marquardt of Monroeville and June Knefelkamp of Hoagland; three brothers, including Weldon Richman of Hoagland, and 10 grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at E. Harper and Son Funeral Home, New Haven. Calling is one hour prior to services. Preferred memorials are to the St. Mary's Soup Kitchen or to the donor's choice.

David R. Driesbaugh
David Raymond Driesbaugh, 53, Hartford City, died Sunday at his residence.
He is survived by his mother, Doris A. Driesbaugh of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; three sons, including Jay Allen Brown of Decatur; a sister, three brothers, and seven grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held at a later date in Michigan.

Betty L. Johnson
Betty L. Johnson, 76, Auburn, died Tuesday at her residence.
She is survived by a son; two stepdaughters, including Norma Gentis of Decatur; a stepson; and a sister.
Services and burial are pending in Punta Gorda, Florida. Memorials to the American Cancer Society or to Allen Hospice.

Charles O. Dickmeyer
Charles O. Dickmeyer, 79, Fort Wayne, died May 7. Among survivors are his wife, Garneta; three sons, including Stephen L. Dickmeyer, Hoagland; and a brother.
Funeral services were held today, with entombment in Covington Memorial Gardens, Fort Wayne.

Lydia P. Schaefer
Lydia P. Schaefer, 88, Fort Wayne, died Friday in Life Care Center. Among survivors are two sons; two daughters, including Karen A. Phillips, Berne; a brother; and three sisters.
Funeral services were held today, with burial in Suburban Bethlehem Lutheran Church's cemetery, Fort Wayne.

Frank L. Green
Frank L. Green, 75, rural Monroe, died at 2:01 p.m. Friday in Adams County Memorial Hospital.
He was born on September 27, 1922 in Winnsboro, Texas to John T. and Ruth M. Stokes Green and married
Edith M. Williams on February 9, 1946; she survives.
He retired in 1981 from Adams Central Schools after teaching science there since 1959. He was also a former football coach at Adams Central. Earlier, he was an instructor at a school in Henderson, Texas from 1948-59.
He was a graduate of Sam Houston State Teachers' College in Huntsville, Texas, and played basketball there. His master's degree was attained at Ball State University in Muncie. During World War II, he served in the U.S. Army Air Corps.
He was a member of the Masonic Lodge, Adams County Shrine Club, Crescent Chapter No. 48 of the Order of the Eastern Star, Adams County Heart Club, First Baptist Church in Decatur, and American Legion Post 43 in Decatur.
Other survivors are two sons, Steve Green, El Paso, Texas, and Dan Green, Fort Wayne; two brothers, Durwood S. Green, Tyler, Texas, and Johnnie Green, Spring, Texas; a sister, Mrs. H.H. (Lenora) Chaney, Abilene, Texas; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Four brothers and a sister are deceased.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday in Zwick and Jahn Funeral Home, Decatur, with burial in Ray cemetery, west of Monroe; military graveside rites will be by American Legion Post 43. Visiting hours are until 4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. today.
Preferred memorials are to the science department at Adams Central, the Adams County Heart Club, or the First Baptist building fund.

Roger D. Borne
Roger D. Borne, 67, 410 Stratton Way, died at 6:30 p.m. Saturday at home.
He was born on February 24, 1931 in Adams County to Edward B. and Anna Kolter Borne and married
Joan M. Lichtenstiger on November 24, 1951; she survives.
The Purdue University graduate retired in 1989 as the manager of marketing and sales of transportation services at the General Electric Co. plant in Fort Wayne after a 40-year career. He was a member of Decatur Masonic Lodge 571; the Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite, Valley of Fort Wayne; Mizpah Shrine in Fort Wayne; and American Legion Post 43 in Decatur. He was a veteran of the U.S. military.
Other survivors include a son, Greg Borne, Chandler, Arizona; two daughters, Mrs. Terry (Terri) Laurent, Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, and Mrs. Daniel (Beth) Klaybor, Syracuse; a brother, Leo Borne, Escondido, California; a sister, Mary Franz, Cookeville, Tennessee; and four grandchildren.
A sister, Ruth Beer, and a brother, Glendon Borne, are deceased.
Private funeral services and burial will be held later. Visiting hours are 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday in Haggard and Sefton Funeral Home, Decatur.
Preferred memorials are to Decatur Masonic Lodge 571, Heartland Hospice, or the donor's choice.

John A. Thornton
John A. Thornton, 76, Greenwood, a former Geneva resident, died Saturday in Regency Place.
He was born on December 7, 1921 in Portland to Chester and Vera Hummer Thornton and married
Jeanne C. Duff on May 30, 1945; she survives,
He was a retired farmer and the owner for 25 years of Limberlost Layers. He was a member of New Hope Church in Greenwood and a World War II veteran of the U.S. Navy.
Other survivors are a daughter, Mrs. John (Jana S.) Geryak, Fountaintown; two sons, Philip A. Thornton, Greenwood, and Gregory L. Thornton, West Des Moines, Iowa; two brothers, Floyd Thornton, Geneva, and Elwood Thornton, Harrison, Michigan; a sister, Gladys Miller, Portland; 11 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
A sister is deceased.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in Downing Funeral Home, Geneva, with burial in Riverside cemetery, Geneva. Visiting hours are 5-8 p.m. today and 9:30-10:30 a.m. Tuesday.
Preferred memorials are New Hope Church, 5301 W. Fairview, Greenwood, 46142.

Samuel A. Drake
Samuel A. Drake, 50, Decatur, died at 12:23 p.m. Monday in the U.S. Department of Veterans' Administration Hospital, Fort Wayne, after having been ill for several years.
He was born on October 23, 1947 in Adams County to Arlo and Cleta I. Hazelwood Drake. He married
Carolyn A. Mills on December 19, 1987. She survives.
He was a policeman in Wren, Ohio and also worked at a service station in Decatur. He was a member of Union Chapel United Methodist Church of rural Decatur and American Legion Post 43 in Decatur. He served in the U.S. Army in Vietnam during that war.
Aside from his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Amanda Drake, at home. A brother, Danny Drake, and a sister, Judith M. Drake, are deceased.
A graveside service will be held at noon Wednesday in Mt. Tabor cemetery, rural Decatur, with military rites by American Legion Post 43. There is no visitation. Funeral arrangements are by Zwick and Jahn Funeral Home, Decatur.
Preferred memorials are to the family.

Donald K. Baker
Donald K. Baker, 51, a captain with the Fort Wayne Fire Department, died Monday at his residence in Fort Wayne.
The Decatur native is survived by his wife, Kathy A.; two daughters; a son; a brother; and four grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at D. O. McComb and Sons Lakeside Park Funeral Home, Fort Wayne. Calling is 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday. Burial will be in the Covington Memorial Gardens.

Jay D. Michel, 48, Allegan, Michigan, father of a Linn Grove man, died suddenly Sunday.
