Ada Gerber
Ada Gerber, 79, rural Bluffton, died Monday in Caylor-Nickel Medical Center's extended care unit at Bluffton.
Among survivors are two sons, including William Gerber, Craigville; two daughters; four brothers, including John Neuenschwander, Decatur; and six sisters.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in Apostolic Christian Church near Vera Cruz, with burial in the church cemetery. Visiting hours are until 9 p.m. today at Goodwin Memorial Chapel, Bluffton.

M. Leona Lose
M. Leona Lose, 85, Decatur, died at 12:43 a.m. Wednesday in Adams County Memorial Hospital following an extended illness.
She was born October 27, 1911 to Dorsey and Mildred Gundrum Folck. She first married
Charles A. Omlor, who died on October 22, 1970. She then married
William Lose; he died November 14, 1987.
A registered nurse for Dr. Harold F. Zwick for 18 years, she was a 1936 graduate of Lutheran School of Nursing. She was a member of St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church, its Rosary Society, Catholic Ladies of Columbia, Shakesperarean Club of Decatur, Harvest House, Adams County Nurses Association and Sigma Phi Gamma Sorority.
Survivors include two sons, Stephen C. Omlor, Decatur, and Richard G. Omlor, Fort Wayne; a daughter, Ann E. Shoaf, Fort Wayne; three stepsons, Thomas Lose, Arkansas; John Lose, Decatur; Philip Lose, Australia; a stepdaughter, Mrs. David (Jean) Hamilton, Decatur; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; 12 stepgrandchildren; and four stepgreat-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Jessie Ketzenberger, and one granddaughter.
A prayer service will take place at 9:30 a.m. Saturday in Zwick-Sefton & Jahn Funeral Home followed by a 10 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Catholic cemetery.
Visiting hours are 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. Thursday. A rosary service will be held at 4:30 p.m. Thursday. Memorials are to St. Mary's Art and Environment Fund, St. Jude's Childrens Research Hospital or the American Diabetes Association.

Juanice J. Mack
Juanice J. (Nancy) Mack, Uniondale, died early this morning in Ossian Health Care Center following an extended illness.
Survivors include her husband, Loy, of Uniondale; two sons, including Kim Mack, Decatur; two brothers; and a sister.
Funeral services will be held Saturday in Nashville, Arkansas. Calling is at Elzey and Haggard Funeral Home, Ossian, from 4-7 p.m. today.

Paul E. Reppert
Paul E. Reppert, 86, died Wednesday in the Ossian Health Care and Rehabilitation Center. He formerly lived in Decatur and retired from General Electric Co. in Fort Wayne in 1973. Surviving are his wife, Mabel M. Reppert; a daughter, Wilma Jean Krueckeberg of Decatur; six grandchildren and a great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by two sons, Paul Richard and Jackie Lee.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday in Elzey & Haggard Ossian Chapel Funeral Home. Calling is 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. today. Burial will be in Oak Lawn cemetery.
Memorials are to the Ossian Health Care and Rehabilitation Center.

Murray Reetz
Murray Reetz, 46 of Decatur, was found dead in his residence Tuesday afternoon.
He was born on May 2, 1951, in Fort Wayne, the son of Richard and Irene Fuhrman Reetz; his parents are deceased. He was a graduate of Indiana University and was employed by Kmart. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church.
Survivors include several cousins.
Services will be held at 10 a.m Friday in Zwick-Sefton & Jahn Funeral Home. Burial will be in Mt. Hope cemetery, Huntington. Calling hours are 9-10 a.m. Friday.
Memorials are to the Zion Lutheran Church.

Joseph S. Anderson
Joseph S. Anderson, 90, of Geneva, died at 1:50 p.m. Wednesday in Swiss Village, Berne.
He was born on February 15, 1907, in Adams Countyto John and Clara Hale Anderson. He married
Margaret Houghton; she died in 1967. On June 17, 1971 he married
Margaret Rhoades; she died on July 10, 1997.
Survivors include a son, Ronald E. Rhoades of Geneva, five grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, a niece and a nephew. A sister, Catherine "Kate" Smith preceded him in death.
He retired from Eastern Indiana Oil Supply in Geneva and was a member of High Street United Methodist Church in Geneva. He was a member of the Geneva Lodge No. 621, Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite, Valley of Fort Wayne; York Rite Bodies Bluffton; Mizpah Temple A.A. on M.S., Fort Wayne; the Adams County Shrine Club; the Red Cross of Constantine; and was a charter member of Wabash Valley Golf Club.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday in Downing Funeral Home, Geneva. Calling hours are 2-8 p.m. Friday, with Masonic services at 8 p.m. Burial will be in West Lawn cemetery, Geneva.
Preferred memorials are to High Street United Methodist Church in Geneva.

Florence M. Bieberich
Florence M. Bieberich, 74, Decatur, died Thursday at 10:05 p.m. in Caylor-Nickel Medical Center, Bluffton.
A homemaker, Mrs. Bieberich was a member of the Salem United Church of Christ, Magley, the Women's Guild, and the American Legion Auxiliary.
She was born in Preble on June 2, 1923, and was the daughter of Ernest J. and Harriet M. Bauer-Worthman. She was married
on May 25, 1946, to Carl G. Bieberich in Decatur and he survives.
Other survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Verlin (Lois) McIntosh and Mrs. Adam (Marlene) Eguia, both of Decatur; a son, Carl "Ernie" of Decatur; a sister, Mrs. Glen (Idabelle) Beer of Richburg, South Carolina; a brother, Calvin Worthman of Mechanicsville, Virginia, and six grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Irvin Worthman; four sisters, Ethel Stepler, Lois Worthman, Ada Louise Worthman, and Esther Mae Worthman; and a grandson.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday in Salem United Church of Christ, Magley, with burial in the Salem United Church of Christ cemetery. Calling is 2-6 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m.-8 p.m. Sunday at Zwick-Sefton and Jahn Funeral Home, Decatur, and one hour prior to services Monday at the church.
Preferred memorials are to the Salem United Church of Christ steeple fund.

Alta M. Williams
Alta M. (Tillie) Williams, 81 of Fort Wayne, formerly of Jay County, died at 10:29 p.m. Wednesday in Parkview Hospital, Fort Wayne.
She was born on January 1, 1917, in Jay County, a daughter of Floyd and Bessie Tagarden Beaber. On April 17, 1935 she married
Chester H. Williams; he died on February 11, 1948.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Larry (Joan) Parr of Fort Wayne; a brother, Caraton Beaber of Fort Wayne;13 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. A son, Rex Williams preceded her in death.
Mrs. Williams was a member of the Assembly of God Church in Fort Wayne.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday in Downing Funeral Home, Geneva. Calling hours are 2-8 p.m. Sunday and from 9 a.m. until time of services on Monday. Burial will be in Green Park cemetery, Portland.

Helen L. Searight
Helen L. Searight, 78, Celina, died Thursday in Shane Hill Nursing Home, Rockford.
Survivors include her husband, Fred; a daughter; two sons; two brothers; four sisters, including Laura Kahn of Decatur; and eight grandchildren.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at Ketcham-Ripley Funeral Home, Rockford, with calling from 2-8 p.m. Sunday.

May E. Hirschy
May E. Hirschy, 85, rural Decatur, died at 5:50 a.m. today in Adams County Memorial Hospital.
A member of Cross United Church of Christ in Berne, Mrs. Hirschy was a homemaker.
Born in rural Decatur on August 6, 1912, she was the daughter of Daniel and Ida Baumgartner-Kaehr. She was married
to Carl Hirschy on January 31, 193; he preceded her in death in 1983.
She is survived y two daughters, Mrs. William (Dianna) Tonner of Bluffton and Mrs. Joseph (Shirley) Brite of Davenport, Florida; a son, Ned Hirschy of Fort Wayne; a brother, Lester Kaehr of Decatur; a sister, Irene Gephart of Decatur;13 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Cross United Church of Christ, Berne, with burial in the Decatur cemetery. Calling will be 2-9 Tuesday and 9 a.m.-noon Wednesday at Yager-Kirchhofer Funeral Home, Berne, and one hour prior to services at the church.
Preferred memorials are to Cross United Church of Christ.

Hazel M. Liechty
Hazel M. Liechty, 76, rural Berne, died at 8:27 p.m. Sunday in Adams County Memorial Hospital.
A member of First Mennonite Church, Berne, Mrs. Liechty was a former employee of the Decatur General Electric plant and was a waitress at the Palmer House restaurant in Berne.
Born on April 1, 1921, in Adams County, she was the daughter of Lewis and Della Frauhiger Yake. She was married
on July 91, 1943, to Harry H. Liechty, who survives.
Other survivors include three sons, Rodney, Floyd, and Deryll, all of Berne; a daughter, Mrs. Emil (Beth) Meyer of Decatur; two brothers, Evan Yake of Monroe and Noah Yake of Craigville; a sister, Mrs. Bruce (Naomi) Shilling of North Webster; and 15 grandchildren. A sister, Ruth Henschen, preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at First Mennonite Church, Berne, with burial in MRE cemetery. Calling is 1-9 p.m. Tuesday and 8-9 a.m. Wednesday at Yager-Kirchhofer Funeral Home, Berne, and then one hour prior to services at the church.
Preferred memorials are to MCC Meat Canner, Women in Mission, or to Bluffton College.

Wilma Werling
Wilma Werling, 89, rural Craigville, died at 6:50 p.m. Saturday at Adams County Memorial Hospital after having been in failing health the past year.
A homemaker, she was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Preble; a charter member of the Ladies Aid of the church (member for over 50 years), and of the Lutheran Women's Missionary League.
She was born on October 5, 1908, in Adams County and was the daughter of Dan and Marie Danmeyer Wefel. She was married
to Reinhard Werling on April 7, 1929; he died on February 5, 1979.
Survivors include a son, Leroy, of rural Decatur; two daughters, Mrs. Edgar (Rosella) Rekeweg of rural Decatur and Mrs. Carl (Alice) Witte of rural New Haven; nine grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a sister, Edna Schaekel.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Preble, with burial in the church cemetery. Calling will be from 2-9 p.m. today at Zwick-Sefton and Jahn Funeral Home, Decatur, and one hour prior to services at the church.
Preferred memorials are to the St. Paul Lutheran Church or Worship for Shut-ins.
