Dorothy E. Baumgartner, 73, of Fort Wayne, who attended Emmaus Lutheran Church, died Thursday, June 14, 2001, at Miller's Merry Manor.
The Fort Wayne native was retired from General Electric Co. after 42 years of service and was a lifelong local resident. Surviving are sisters Martha J. Heinrick of Evansville and Esther Moser of Berne; and several nieces and nephews including Alice Minnick of Fort Wayne. She was preceded in death by sisters Clara Reiff and Pauline McCool. Services are 10:30 a.m. Monday at Yager-Kirchhofer Funeral Home, 365 W. Main, Berne, with calling from 9 a.m. until services. Burial will be at MRE cemetery. Kathleen R. Harrold, 78, of Fort Wayne, a member of North Highland Church of Christ, died Friday, June 15, 2001, at Parkview Hospital.
The Avilla native was a homemaker, and a member of Garrett American Legion, Women of the Moose Chapter 261 and Teamsters Retirees. Surviving are a daughter, Vonda Roop of Fort Wayne; a son, Larry D. of Fort Wayne; a sister, Delores Hyde of Warsaw; brothers Keith and Allen Berkes, both of Fort Wayne, and Deloice Zimmerman of Warsaw; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Her husband, Joe, preceded her in death. Services are 11 a.m. Tuesday at D.O. McComb & Sons Pine Valley Park Funeral Home, 1320 E. Dupont Road, with calling from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday. Marie Stengren, 101, of Fort Wayne, a retired accountant, died Tuesday, June 12, 2001, at Miller's Merry Manor.
The Teippening, Germany, native retired in 1969 from Black & Decker Co. after 10 years of service, was a member of Moody Church in Chicago and enjoyed crocheting, reading and travel. Surviving are a daughter, Ann Alcenius of Fort Wayne; sisters Katrina Grauer and Paulina Maier, both of Germany; a grandson, Timothy Alcenius of Canton, Mich.; and one great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband, Sten O. Services are 5 p.m. Monday at D.O. McComb & Sons Maplewood Park Funeral Home, 4017 Maplecrest Road, with calling from 1 to 6 p.m. Monday. Berdean M. Lowden, 93, of Fort Wayne, a former restaurant cook, died Friday, June 15, 2001, at Regency Place.
The Milan Center native was a member of South Wayne Baptist Church and would have turned 94 years old on Sunday. Surviving are a daughter, Bonnie L. Hartman of Fort Wayne; a son, Gene L. of Leo-Cedarville; 13 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren. Her husband, Clinton R., preceded her in death. Services are 11 a.m. Tuesday at C.M. John W. Moffett, 81, of Fort Wayne, a longtime auto mechanic, died Thursday, June 14, 2001, at Veterans Hospital in Indianapolis.
The Adamsville, Tenn., native had worked for Blue Eagle Towing Co. for 11 years. Surviving are his wife, Hallie M.; daughters Shirley F. Moffett of Fort Wayne and Charlene M. Brunson of Auburn; a sister, Joyce Blankenship of Fort Wayne; brothers Samuel and Jerry, both of Fort Wayne; and one grandchild. There are no services or calling. Memorials are to the donor's choice.

She was a homemaker and member of Concordia Lutheran Church. Surviving are sons Michael J., Daniel A. and Anthony J., all of Fort Wayne; daughters Judith K. Grueb and Barbara A. William J. Willig, 84, of Fort Wayne, a retired photographer, died Friday, Jan. 19, 2001, at home.
"He enjoyed being a handyman, photography and was an avid golfer."
The Fort Wayne native had been a self-employed commercial photographer.
Surviving are his wife, Lucia; a son, Joseph D. of Naperville, Ill.; and a grandson, Zachary of Naperville.

Julia K. Schulthess, 94, of Fort Wayne, who had lived in Garrett nearly her whole life, died Friday, Jan. 19, 2001, at Towne House Health Care, Fort Wayne.
The Garrett native was a homemaker and had worked as a sales associate at several stores. She was a member of Garrett United Methodist Church and a past president of Psi Iota Xi, Alpha Rho Chapter.
Surviving are her daughter, Judith Ruoff of Fort Wayne; a grandson, Christopher Ruoff of Fort Wayne; a granddaughter, Sarah Ruoff of Fort Wayne; and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard W.; two sisters; and two brothers.
A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Thomas Funeral Home, Garrett, with calling two hours before services. Burial will be at Christian Union cemetery, Garrett.

Louetta A. Snyder, 95, of Fort Wayne, a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, died Thursday, Jan. 18, 2001, at The Arbors, Fort Wayne.
"She loved music and played with an all-girls band. She was a loving grandma to Kent."
The Louisville, Ky., native was a homemaker and had worked at General Electric Co. during World War II.
Surviving are her son, Robert of Fort Wayne, and a grandson, Kent of West Bloomfield, Mich.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph.
Services are 2 p.m. Monday at C.M. Sloan & Sons Funeral Home, 1327 Wells St., with calling one hour before services. Burial will be at Greenlawn Memorial Park cemetery, Fort Wayne.

Adell M. White, 41, of Fort Wayne, a teacher at Kekionga Middle School, in Fort Wayne Community Schools district, died Thursday, Jan. 18, 2001, in Fort Wayne.
The Auburn native was a member of Faith Baptist Church and was actively involved at the campus of Indiana-University-Purdue University, Fort Wayne. She was included in Who's Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges.
Surviving are her husband, Rick L.; daughters Angela, Sarah and Lindsey White, all of Fort Wayne; her mother, Brooks Jackson of New Haven; and sisters Janet Garcia of Fort Wayne and Jill Paetow of Plainfield.
She was preceded in death by her father, Thomas Jackson.
Services are 11 a.m. Tuesday at D.O. McComb & Sons Lakeside Park Funeral Home, 1140 Lake Ave., with calling from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday. Burial will be at Highland Park cemetery, Fort Wayne.
