Helen M. Day
Helen M. Day, 86, Kokomo, died Sunday, February 1, 2004, at 11:35 A.M. at Tipton County Memorial Hospital. She was born July 26, 1917, in Tipton to Omer & Martha (Moore) Goodnight. On September 27, 1933, she married Harry F. Day and he died March 3, 1993. Helen was a homemaker and a member of Mt. Gilead Baptist Church in Hemlock.
She is survived by two daughters and one son-in-law, Barbara & Gene McCauley, Kokomo, and Shirley Kuhns, Kokomo; grandchildren Kevin Kuhns & his wife Melanie, Kokomo, Bradley Kuhns & his wife Anne, Kokomo, George Francis & his wife Joni, Dallas, Texas, Barbara Mathews & her husband Dwayne, Howe, Texas, and John Francis, Sherman, Texas; 7 great-grandchildren.
She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. One daughter, Esther Francis, and 6 brothers and 4 sisters are deceased.
Helen's funeral will be Wednesday, February 4, at 10:00 A.M. at Young-Nichols Funeral Home, Tipton, with Pastor Steve Gollner presiding. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery, Tipton. Visitation will be from 4:00-8:00 P.M. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Marjorie A. Day
Marjorie A. Day, 74, 106 Nansue Drive, Tipton, died at 12:35 A.M. Sunday, January 18, 2004, at Autumnwood Extended Care at Tipton County Memorial Hospital. She was born March 11, 1929, in Tipton to Dilver & Virginia (Young) Hoover. On March 19, 1948, she married Burl L. Day and he died June 18, 2002.
Marjorie worked as a secretary for several Tipton businesses. She was member of the West Street Christian Church, Christian Womens Fellowship, and Secretary-Treasurer for the church Memorials & Gifts. She belonged to the Lady Elks, TOPS, and was active in the activities at the Tipton Senior Center.
She is survived by one son, Kenneth J. Day, Tipton; 3 sisters and 3 brothers, Judith C. Hoover, Tipton, Philip K. Hoover, Tipton, Joan H. Cole, Daytona Beach, Florida, Beverly J. Hoover, Marion, Don R. Hoover, Muncie, and Keith D. Hoover, Tipton; 2 grandchildren, Rocky A. Long, Kokomo and Jessica M. Day, Tipton.
She was preceded in death by one daughter, Rebecca J. Long, one brother, Billie Charles Hoover, and one sister, Norma C. Hoover.
Her funeral will be Wednesday, January 21, at 11:00 A.M. at Young-Nichols Funeral Home with the Rev. Phil Curran presiding. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery, Tipton. Visitation will be from 4:00-8:00 P.M. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Norman F. Day
Norman F. Day, 89, Tipton, and a former Fort Wayne resident for 52 years, died at 4:55 p.m. Sunday, March 29, 2009 at Miller Merry Manor in Tipton. He was born October 26, 1919 in Tipton to Preston & Lula (Wolverton) Day. On August 29, 1949 he married Jean Alley and she survives.
He was an electronics engineer for ITT, formerly Capehart & Farnsworth, for 32 years, retiring in 1984. A 1937 graduate of Tipton High School he was a member of the Eagles and was an avid bowler and golfer. He played trombone for the Buck Sloan Band at several events in the area. Norman was a member of the VFW and served in the Army Air Corp in WWII as a radioman and gunner in B-29's.
Survivors besides his wife include one brother, Forest G. Day, Bay Village, Ohio and one nephew.
His funeral will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday April 2 at Young-Nichols Funeral Home with Rev. Phil Collier presiding. Burial will be in Brookside Cemetery, Windfall with military honors. Visitation will be from 4:00 - 6:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Waneta Helen DeVault
Waneta Helen DeVault, 79, Tipton, died Friday, October 22, 2004, at 12:30 a.m. at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Hospital in Kokomo. She was born June 16, 1925, in Tipton to Ray & Helen (Trimble) Woodruff. On September 5, 1944, she married Richard E. DeVault and he died January 8, 2003.
She was a former secretary for the Tipton Community School Corporation and a member of the West Street Christian Church. Waneta was a volunteer at Tipton County Memorial Hospital and belonged to the Order of the Eastern Star for 61 years. She also belonged to the Friends of the Library, American Legion Auxiliary for 55 years, Republican Women's Organization and was the treasurer for the Tipton County Concert Society.
Waneta is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Lynn & Jerry Bourff, Elwood; one son and daughter-in-law, Jack & Susie DeVault, Tipton; one sister, Wanda Kritsch, Tipton; three granddaughters, Deena Bagley, Tucson, Arizona, Denise Price, Noblesville, and Amy Vandergriff, Tipton; one great-granddaughter, Courtney Everman, Westfield. One brother, Woody Woodruff, is deceased.
Her funeral will be Tuesday, October 26, at 10:00 A.M. at Young-Nichols Funeral Home with Rev. Dr. Richard Hamm and Rev. Erin Iobst. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery, Tipton. Visitation will be from 4:00-8:00 p.m. Monday, October 25, at the funeral home and the Order of the Eastern Star will conduct a service at 7:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Tipton County Relay for Life, or Order of Eastern Star.
O.L. "Curley" Dixon
O.L. "Curley" Dixon, 72, 4459 S. 750 W., Tipton, died at 10:05 P.M. Wednesday, April 28, 2004, at his residence. He was born May 9, 1931, in Livingston, Tennessee, Overton County, to Oliver Lee & Dovie (Denton) Dixon. On July 8, 1949, he married Katheryn Burks and she survives.
Curley was a farmer from 1960-66 and was employed at Farm Bureau Co-Op from 1966-1995 until his retirement. He was a member of East Hopewell Missionary Baptist Church in Tipton.
Survivors besides his wife Katheryn include one daughter and son-in-law, Judy & Gerald W. Kennedy, Rockville, Indiana; one son and daughter-in-law, Steve H. & Karen Dixon, Tipton, one brother, Homer Dixon, Knoxville, Tennessee; five grandchildren, Kristy Dixon, Indianapolis, Chad Dixon, Lafayette, Gerald E. & Lisa Kennedy, Lafayette, Christopher L. & Jihan Kennedy, Lafayette, and Joseph W. Kennedy, Noblesville; two great-grandchildren, Ty Anthony Kennedy and Kaytlen Kennedy.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Thurman Dixon, and three sisters, Nola Ellis, Bertie Mansall and Mayzell Dixon.
His funeral will be Saturday, May 1, at 10:00 A.M. at Young-Nichols Funeral Home with the Rev. Harvey McDaniel presiding. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery, Tipton. Visitation will be from 3:00-8:00 P.M. Friday at the funeral home.

Arthur Dale Drullinger
Arthur Dale Drullinger, 84, Tipton died Sunday, May 9, 2004, at 9:08 P.M. at his residence. He was born November 13, 1919, in Attica, Indiana, to Hardy & Mildred (Green) Drullinger. On September 11, 1964, he married Elna D. Cherry and she survives.
Dale was a die setter and group leader at Delco Electronics in Kokomo, retiring in 1987. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Indianapolis, Elks, Moose, and the NRA. Dale served as an MP in the U.S. Air Force during WWII.
Survivors besides his wife include 7 sons, Kenneth "Sonny" Keifer and wife Patty, Tipton, Larry Keifer and wife Linda, Tipton, Dale Walker wife Connie, Alabama, Rocky Keifer, Tipton, Craig Walker and wife Suzanne, Deerpark, Texas, Ricky Keifer, Tipton, and Jeff Drullinger, Leesburg, Florida; 7 daughters, Karren Lopez and husband Jack, New Braunfels, Texas, Candice Ogle and husband John, Antioch, Tennessee, Carolyn "Susie" Connors and husband Brian, Elwood, Rebecca Guthrie and husband Buck, Dayton, Texas, Tina Parr and Mike Kendall, Goldsmith, Annette Wichmann and husband Greg, Bloomington, Illinois, and Patricia Snyder and husband Ed, Westfield; one sister, Rosemary Flaugher and husband Bill, Arlington, Texas; 35 grandchildren and 36 great-grandchildren. One brother, Charles Drullinger, is deceased.
His funeral will be Wednesday, May 12, at 1:00 P.M. at Young-Nichols Funeral Home with the Rev. Michael Kettron presiding. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Tipton. Visitation will be from 4:00 - 8:00 P.M. Tuesday at the funeral home with a Rosary Service at 7:00.

Thomas E. "Ed" Enneking
Thomas E. "Ed" Enneking, 83, 1100 N. Main Street, Tipton, died Monday, September 27, 2004, at 2:35 A.M. at Miller's Merry Manor. He was born May 27, 1921, in Kokomo to Joseph & Agnes (Walsh) Enneking. On November 18, 1946, he married Annamae Duncan and she died April 9, 2000.
Ed retired from the Tipton Community School Corporation in 1987 after working in the maintenance departments at Lincoln Elementary School and Tipton High School and as a bus driver. Before that he had owned Gulf and Sunoco filling stations in Tipton. He was a lifelong member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Tipton, and served in the U.S. Army in World War II, stationed in New Caledonia.
He is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Mike & Becky Enneking, Tipton; a daughter and son-in-law, Donna & Jon Horton, Tipton; and a son Mark Enneking, Tipton; three grandchildren, Tina Edwards Willey and husband James, Tami Tebbe and husband Matt, and Amanda Broughton and husband James; two great-grandchildren, Madilyn Edwards and Jonathon Tebbe.
Ed was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert & John Enneking, and four sisters, Mary Havens, Ruth O'Toole, Ceil Anderson and his twin sister Esther, who died at the age of three.
His funeral will be Thursday, September 30, at 10:00 A.M. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Tipton, with the Rev. Leroy Kinnaman presiding. Burial will follow in St. John's Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00-8:00 P.M. Wednesday, September 29, at Young-Nichols Funeral Home where the Rosary will be recited at 4:00 P.M. and a Wake Service will be held at 7:00 P.M.

William R. Findling
William R. Findling, 79, 5062 N. 500 E., Windfall, died at 11:40 A.M. Saturday, April 10, 2004, at Tipton County Memorial Hospital. He was born April 30, 1924, in Aroma, Indiana, to Rome E. & Minnie O. (Parnell) Findling. On December 17, 1963, he married Eileen Bunnell and she survives.
He was a retired farmer and a member of the Windfall United Methodist Church. He belonged to the Scottish Rite, Austin Masonic Lodge, Rosary Chapter #66 Order of Eastern Star, and Purdue Agriculture Hall of Fame. He was the former Tipton Middle School Golf Coach, former IHSAA basketball official for 35 years, college basketball official, and Tri-Central Girls basketball official .
Survivors besides his wife Eileen include four daughters and sons-in-law - Sandra M. & Joseph Roach, New Orleans, Louisiana, Bonita J. Ramirez & Edward Armantrout, Yorktown, Deborah J. & Dennis Ratliff, Pelham, Alabama, and Terri Anne & Allen Stout, Tipton; two sons and daughters-in-law - James A. & Donna Findling, Pelham, Alabama, and William R. II & Barbara Findling, Crandall, Texas; and one sister - Jean Alice Plummer, Windfall.
William is also survived by 16 grandchildren - Jeffrey Roach, Shannon Entrekin, David Shaw, Raquel Ray, Elecia Armantrout, Kyle Jester, Christopher A. Stout, Nathan R. Stout, Jennifer M. Stout, Jacob Moody, Vickie Pierson, Joe Findling, Cindy Frank, Patti Desmoin, Barbara Humphrey, and Susan Schroeder; and 6 great-grandchildren - Jordan Roach, Carin Entrekin, Giavanni Entrekin, Jordyn Pierson, Justin Micale, and Jaden Moody.
One daughter, Constance E. Shaw, one brother, Garnet Findling, and one granddaughter, Cassandra McCool, are deceased.
His funeral will be Wednesday, April 14, at 10:00 A.M. at Young-Nichols Funeral Home, 216 W. Jefferson Street, Tipton, with Rev. Chris Ellis and Rev. David Stout presiding. Burial will follow in Brookside Cemetery, Windfall. Visitation will be from 3:00-8:00 P.M. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Evamae Forst
Evamae Forst, 84, Tipton, died at 5:00 A.M. on Thursday, May 6, 2004 at Tipton County Memorial Hospital. She was born November 6, 1919, in Tipton County to Carl H. & Dorothy (Wright) Niemann. On August 14, 1938, she married Charles Simmons and he died in 1939. She then married Ira Forst in 1953 and he also preceded her in death. Evamae was a homemaker.
She is survived by one brother, Carl F. Niemann, Huntington, Indiana; one sister, Betty Joan Stanley, Orlando, Florida; and several nieces and nephews. One sister, Alida Rayls, is deceased.
Her funeral will be Monday, May 10, at 2:00 P.M. at Young-Nichols Funeral Home with the Rev. Ed Smith presiding. Burial will be in Kempton Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12:00 Noon - 2:00 P.M. Monday at the funeral home.
Martha Jane Forsythe
Martha Jane Forsythe, 64, Sharpsville, died Thursday, July 15, 2004, at 2:14 P.M. at her residence. She was born January 11, 1940, in Hamilton County, Indiana, to Raymond E. & Nettie (Tuder) Hunter. On July 18, 1971, she married Clyde Gene Forsythe and he survives.
Martha had worked at K-Mart and Wassons. She was a member of Albright E.U.B. Church and a graduate of Hamilton Heights High School.
Survivors besides her husband Clyde Gene Forsythe include two sons, Tony E. Forsythe, Sharpsville, and Bobby E. & wife Spring Forsythe, Kokomo; two sisters, Viola M. Koker, Tipton, and Joyce I. Moon, Noblesville; one brother, Wayne Hunter, Atlanta; and 3 grandchildren, Alovea Chianna Forsythe, Grace Isabella Forsythe, and DeMichael Earl Forsythe.
Two brothers, Charles R. & Lee W. Hunter, and three sisters, Evelyn, Marjorie & Marie Hunter are deceased.
Her funeral will Monday, July 19, at 10:00 A.M. at Young-Nichols Funeral Home with Rev Richard L. Covert presiding. Burial will be in Tetersburg Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2:00-6:00 P.M. Sunday at the funeral home.

Jennifer L. (Butcher) Gaul
Jennifer L. (Butcher) Gaul, 44 of Tipton died at 6:01 p.m. Sunday, October 9, 2011 at IU Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. She was born August 19, 1967 in Danville, Indiana to Gary Kent & Judith (Canada) Butcher.
Jennifer was an artist and studied at the Heron School of Art in Indianapolis. She graduated from Hamilton Southeastern High School and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Tipton. Many people will remember her from her time working at Jim Dandy and her sense of humor. She was always playing pranks. Jennifer also enjoyed karaoke and singing.
Survivors include her former husband Brian Gaul and children Megan and Brandon of Plainfield; her mother Judith Butcher, Tipton; two sisters, Sharon McCaslin and husband Gene, Mooresville and Janet Gibson-Zdrojewski and husband Matt, Tipton, and her dog, Elijah Damien Gaul.
A memorial service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Thursday, October 13 at Young-Nichols Funeral Home with Pastor Mark Ward presiding. Visitation will be from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
