Gerald Angel
Gerald Angel, 88, of Bridgman, Mich., formerly of Evansville, died Sunday, April 8, 2001, at Vineyard's Adult Family Home in Galien, Mich.
He retired as a patternmaker for Whirlpool.
He was a Marine Corps veteran and a member of American Legion Post 331.
Surviving are his wife, Betty; a daughter, Susan Angel Newkirk of Lafayette, La.; two stepsons, Marshall Autra of Kerin, Miss., and Michael Autra of Etoile, Texas; a sister, Jeanne Angel Williams of Evansville; a brother, William of Evansville; and two grandsons, Blake and Tyler Newkirk.
There were no services or visitation. The body was cremated. Hoven Funeral Home in Buchanan, Mich., was in charge of arrangements.

Benjamin Townsend
Benjamin E. Townsend, 81, of Evansville, died Saturday, May 12, 2001, at Deaconess Hospital.
He retired in 1980 after 30 years at Whirlpool. He was a World War II Army veteran and a member of Cavalry Baptist Church.
Surviving are two daughters, Diane Conklin of Garland, Texas and Angentina Bippus of Evansville; four sons, Larry of Evansville, Edward Gazell of Owensboro, Ky., David of Indianapolis and Benjamin Jr. of Mesick, Mich.; 20 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Pierre Funeral Home, the Rev. Ben Townsend Jr. officiating, with burial in Sunset Memorial Park cemetery.
Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Lorena Hattick
Lorena Morris Hattick, 84, of Evansville, died Saturday, May 12, 2001, at CORE Nursing and Rehabilitation.
She was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church, Robert Morris Chapter of the Eastern Star, Colfax Lodge of Rebekahs and Independent Order of Odd Fellows.
She held the commission of Kentucky Colonel.
Surviving are a daughter, Ruth Doty of Madisonville, Ky.; two sons, Phillip and Ted Morris, both of Evansville; a sister, Emma Louise Bybee of Glasgow, Ky.; a brother, Hubert Wilson of Hardinsburg, Ky.; a daughter-in-law who cared for her, Joan Morris of Evansville; five grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Herbert Morris in 1977 and Chris Hattick in 1998, and a daughter, Donna Lee.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Alexander Funeral Home West Chapel, the Rev. Ruth Milgate officiating, with burial in Oak Hill cemetery.
Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

David Herring
David C. Herring, 60, of Evansville died Friday, May 11, 2001, at Deaconess Hospital of complications of diabetes.
He was a Vietnam War veteran.
Surviving are three brothers, Larry of Springfield, Ill., Steven of Virginia Beach, Va., and Paul of Evansville.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Sunset Memorial Park cemetery, the Rev. Kenneth Herr officiating.
There will be no visitation. Simpson Meyer Funeral Home is handling arrangements.

Infant Cora Neighbors
Infant Cora Brook Neighbors was stillborn Friday, May 11, 2001, at St. Mary's Medical Center.
Surviving are her parents, Mark and Michelle of Henderson, Ky.; her brother, Saxton; her grandmothers, Bettye Slaughter of Henderson and Anita Hedinger of Rockport, Ind.; and a grandfather, Herb Neighbors of Evansville.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Joseph cemetery, the Revs. Ted Burke and Mark Weaver officiating.
There will be no visitation. Pierre Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
Lloyd Lindsey
Lloyd Lindsey, 47, of Evansville, died Thursday, May 10, 2001, at his home. The cause of death is yet to be determined.
He was a commercial artist.
Surviving are a daughter, Shara Ricer of Francisco, Ind.; five sisters, Anna Oliver of Ontario, Calif., Sue Singer of Rancho Cucamonga, Calif., Judy Williams of Grant, Fla., Brenda Lindsey of Princeton and Doreen Dean of Lexington, Ky.; a brother, Barry Lindsey of Carmi, Ill.; and two granddaughters.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Short Funeral Home in Mount Carmel, with burial in Highland Memorial cemetery.

Generose Kohn
FERDINAND - Sister Generose Kohn, 79, died Saturday, May 12, 2001, at the Monas-tery Immaculate Conception infirmary of complications of Parkinson's disease.
She was in the sisterhood for more than 60 years.
She taught in parochial schools in Evansville, Tell City and Mount Vernon.
She also taught at St. Benedict College in Ferdinand, served as its academic dean and at Vincennes University Jasper Center.
She served as teacher, proctor and receptionist for Academy Immaculate Conception/Marian Heights Academy from 1970 to 1993.
Surviving are her sisters, Helen Schlachter and Elaine Huff, both of Indianapolis; a brother, James of South Bend; nieces and nephews; and members of her religious community.
Services will be at 4:30 p.m. Monday at the Monastery Immaculate Conception Church, with burial in the monastery cemetery.
Friends may call from 1 to 7 p.m. today, with a wake service at 7, and from 1 to service time at the church. Becher Funeral Home is handling arrangements.

Jerry Taylor
HEILMAN - Jerry Lee Taylor, 64, died Friday, May 11, 2001, at Deaconess Hospital of complications of a blood infection.
He was a retired farmer and worked for the Warrick County Highway Department for 11 years.
He was a member of Mount Olive Baptist Church and a 1956 graduate of Selvin High School.
Surviving are his wife of 43 years, Myra; three daughters, Denise Taylor and Jennifer Rogge, both of Lynnville and Tara Kudsi of Evansville; three sisters, Jo Ann Funk of Hartford, Ky., Diann McCallie of Cloverdale and Marsha Catron of Indianapolis; a brother, Terry of South Carolina; and two grandchildren, Nicholas and Tyler Rogge.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Koehler Funeral Home Boonville Chapel, with burial in Garrison Chapel cemetery.
Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. to service time at the funeral home.

Ezra Griswold
MOUNT VERNON - Ezra P. Griswold, 76, died of cancer Friday, May 11, 2001, at the home of his companion and caregiver, Dorothy Hall.
He was employed at General Tire Co. for 20 years, Commercial Barge for 10 years and owned and operated Griswold Rental for 20 years.
He was a member of St. Philip Catholic Church, SWIRCA, Fraternal Order of Eagles, Owls and Boy Scouts.
Surviving are two daughters, Priscilla Quinlin and Kimberly Winterheimer, both of Evansville; a son, Michael of Mount Vernon; four grandchildren, Melissa Linne, Matthew Winterheimer, Dawn Nall and Amber Griswold; a great-grandchild, Elizabeth Linne; and a companion and caregiver, Dorothy Hall.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Philip Catholic Church, with burial in the church cemetery.
Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Monday at Pierre Funeral Home in Evansville and from 10:30 a.m. to service time at the church.

Agnes Albery
FORT BRANCH - Agnes Mitchell Albery, 73, formerly of Fort Branch, died Friday, May 11, 2001, at her home in Louisville, Ky., of cancer.
She retired as a teacher after 31 years.
She graduated from Fort Branch High School and Indiana University.
Surviving are her husband, Don; three daughters, Laura of Dayton, Ohio, Lori Fisher of North Dakota and Cindy Nichols of Missouri; a son, Bill of Louisville; two sisters, Irma Uebelhoer of Indianapolis and Iris Torres of Louisville; three brothers, Vincent Anslinger of Bakersfield, Calif., Linus Anslinger of Fort Branch and Urban Anslinger of Corpus Christi, Texas; and six grandchildren.
Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. Thursday, May 17, at Walnut Hill cemetery.
There will be no visitation. Stodghill Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
