Peggy Gray
Peggy Ruth Laverne Gray, 78, of Evansville, died Friday, May 25, 2001, at Good Samaritan Home of Alz-heimer’s.
She had worked in the credit department at DeJong’s and at WGBF radio.
She was a member of Salem United Methodist Church and Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary Post 1114.
Surviving are a daughter, Joan Gooch of Carmel, Ind.; two sons, John of Newburgh and James of Bridgman, Mich.; two sisters, Rose Marie Little of Evansville and Catherine Pollack of Boonville, Ind., ; a brother, Billy Stephenson of Los Angeles; five grandchildren, Stephanie Gutzweiler, Andrea Kneubuhler, Connor Gray and Courtney and Kiley Gooch; and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, LeRoy, in 1998.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Good Samaritan Home, the Rev. Mary Hendrickson officiating, with burial in Sunset Memorial Park.
Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m today at Browning Funeral Home and from 9 a.m. to service time at the home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Good Samaritan Pathway’s Alzheimer’s Unit.
Dorothy Alsop
Dorothy E. Alsop, 84, of Evansville, died Friday, May 25, 2001, at Regina Continuing Care Center.
She retired from the Knight Township Trustees Office. She had worked at the Vanderburgh County Recorder’s Office.
She was past president of the Eagles Auxiliary.
Surviving are a son, James of Evansville; a grandson, Jim; and a great-grandson.
There will be no services or visitation at Alexander Funeral Home East Chapel. The body will be cremated.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Catherine Alzheimer’s Unit at Regina Health Care.
Talitha Huebschman
Talitha M. Huebschman, 91, of Evansville, died Friday, May 25, 2001, at Good Samaritan Home.
She was a private sitter and a nurse’s aide.
She was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church.
Surviving are a son, Willard of Evansville; three grandchildren, Scott of Las Vegas and Joy Plumb and Amy Lutzel, both of Evansville; and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Otto, in 1992.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Simpson-Meyer Funeral Home, the Rev. Walter Ullman officiating, with burial in Lutheran cemetery.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and from 9 a.m. to service time at the funeral home.

Eva Raymes
Eva Mae Marlowe Raymes, 81, formerly of Evansville, died Thursday, May 24, 2001, at Piedmont Medical Center in Rock Hill, S.C.
She was a member of Faith Assembly of God and a member of Order of Eastern Star in Rock Hill.
Surviving are four daughters, Evangeline Boulware of Georgetown, S.C., Linda Nelson of Alta Loma, Calif., Delores Walker of Rock Hill and Sue Lane of Melbourne, Fla.; three sons, the Rev. Kenneth of Evansville and Clinton and L.D. of Rock Hill; a sister, Elma Mills of Hopewell, Va.; a brother, Eddie Marlowe of Hopewell; 17 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Rufus.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel in Rock Hill, with burial in Grandview Memorial Park.
Friends may call from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Richard Peter
Richard Jerome Peter, 78, of Evansville, died Friday, May 25, 2001, at Woodlands Convalescent Center of kidney failure.
He retired from Cummins Cumberland in 1988 after 32 years.
He was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church, the Men’s Club at the church and the Knights of Columbus.
Surviving are his wife of 42 years, Lolly; three daughters, Mary McFall and Patricia Moseley, both of Evansville and Jackie Sauer of Henderson, Ky.; a sister, Florence Hufnagel of Kirkwood, Mo.; five grandchildren, Bo and Kyle McFall and Timmy, Jenna and Conner Sauer; and nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, the Rev. Raymond Kuper officiating, with burial in St. Joseph Catholic cemetery.
Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m., with a memorial service at 5 p.m. Monday at Browning Funeral Home, and from 10 a.m. to service time at the church.
Memorial contributions may be made to her church, the National Kidney Foundation of Indiana or Vista Care Foundation.
Bruce Timmons
Bruce W. Timmons, 43, of Evansville, died Thursday, May 24, 2001, at his home of hepatitis.
He worked for HASCO-C.C.S. Cleaning Service.
He was a member of Bethel Temple.
Surviving are his wife of 20 years, Teresa; a son, Adam of Evansville; two sisters, Mary Bennett and Betty Nevels, both of Evansville; two brothers, Bobbie and Ernie, both of Evansville; a mother-in-law who cared for him, Audrey Cates of Dale, Ind.; and nieces and nephews.
There will be no visitation or services at Alexander Funeral Home North Chapel. The body will be cremated.

Mary Williams
MOUNT VERNON — Mary F. Williams, 76, died Saturday, May 26, 2001, at Mount Vernon Nursing and Rehab of heart failure.
She was a member of St. John United Methodist Church in Caborn.
Surviving are her husband, Callie; a daughter, Patricia Esche of Mount Vernon; four stepdaughters, Callie Littlepage, Lula Clark and Bertha Brakie, all of Mount Vernon and Virgie DeBose of Evansville; a stepson, Al Dye of New Trenton; two sisters, Joann Lindsey of Mount Vernon and Margaret Nolte of Springfield, Mo.; a brother, Paul Pritchitt of Nixa, Mo.; two grandchildren; 12 stepgrandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and five great-great grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Austin Funeral Home-Boone Chapel, with burial in St. John cemetery.

Richard Timberlake
TELL CITY — Richard L. Timberlake, 62, formerly of Tell City, died Friday, May 25, 2001, at Hardin Memorial Hospital, Hardinsburg, Ky., of cancer.
He retired from Meade County RECC in Hardinsburg.
He was a Navy veteran.
Surviving are his wife, Barbara of Hardinsburg; a daughter, Lisa, of Hardinsburg; two sons, Richard of McQuady, Ky., and Vernon of Owensboro, Ky.; a sister, Joann Scott of Tell City; and five grandchildren, Jennifer, Brittany, Katherine, Sarah and Jonathan Timberlake.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Zoercher-Gillick Funeral Home, with burial in New Hope cemetery, Newtonville.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Trent Dowell Funeral Home in Hardinsburg, and from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday and from 9 a.m. to service time at the funeral home in Tell City.
James Hinton
TELL CITY — James E. Hinton, 57, died Saturday, May 26, 2001, at his home of cancer.
He was an employee of the city of Tell City and had served in the Indiana National Guard.
He was a member of Loyal Order of the Moose 1424, American Legion Post 213, Tell City Volunteer Fire Department, Indiana Volunteer Firemen’s Association and the Leopold Conservation Club.
Surviving are his wife of 38 years, Rosemary; a daughter, Lisa of Tell City; two sons, Jim of Tell City and Brian of Tempe, Ariz.; a brother, Jerry, of Owensboro, Ky.; and two grandchildren, Jaimi and Marcus Hinton.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Huber Funeral Home Tell City Chapel, with burial in St. Mary cemetery, with military rites.
Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. today and from 8 a.m. to service time at the funeral home. There will be memorial services at 6:30 and 7 p.m. today.

Natasha Ferguson
JASPER — Natasha L. Ferguson, 15, died Friday, May 25, 2001, at Owensboro Mercy Hospital from complications of a brain aneurysm.
She was a freshman at Jasper High School.
She worked at Mill House Restaurant in Jasper.
She was a member of Young Life, Saphirey Softball Team and Youth Against Drunk Drivers.
Surviving are her parents, Tom and Kim of Jasper; two sisters, Shana and Ashley of Jasper; two brothers, T.J. and Tyler of Jasper; her grandparents, Robert Silvis, Joyce Kuhlman and Ruth Ferguson; a great-grandmother, Elnore Silvis; and aunts and uncles.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, with burial in Enlow Jasper City cemetery.
Friends may call from 1 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Becher-Kluesner Downtown Chapel.
