Shirley Zink
HUNTINGBURG - Shirley J. Zink, 60, died Saturday, May 26, 2001, at her home of congestive heart failure.
She had been a chef at the former Best Western Dutchman Inn Restaurant.
She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church.
Surviving are her husband, James 'Pim'; three daughters, Terri L. Haake of Rockport, Sherry Sherron of English and Kathi Day of Cuzco; four sons, James J., Steve and Daniel, all of Huntingburg, and Dennis of Newark, Del.; three sisters, Rosalee Underwood and Marjori Houchin, both of Huntingburg and Naomi Eckert of French Lick; a brother, Oscar Worman of Holland; and 18 grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Mary Catholic Church, with burial in Fairmount cemetery.
Friends may call from 2 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Nass & Son Funeral Home, with a parish vigil service at 6 p.m.
Memorial contributions may be made to Family Palliative Care at Memorial Hospital.
Lena Shoulders
BOONVILLE - Lena Barnett Shoulders, 84, died Sunday, May 27, 2001, at Franklin (Ind.) Meadows Nursing Center.
She was a member of Pleasant Chapel United Methodist Church and the church ladies guild in Pelzer and Eastern Star.
Surviving are a daughter, Phyllis J. Speziale of Martinsville; a son, Jerry Barnett of Indianapolis; two half sisters, Joyce Brown of Lancaster, Calif., and Dorothy Kahre of Evansville; a half brother, Guy Kissel of Tennyson; four grandchildren, Theresa Surface, Tony Speziale, Keith E. Barnett and Audrea R. Bruce; and seven great-grandchildren.
Two husbands preceded her in death, Albert Barnett in 1967 and Raymond Shoulders in 1991.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Bradley Colonial Chapel, with burial in Maple Grove cemetery.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and from 8 a.m. to service time at the funeral home.

Billie Garrison
MOUNT VERNON - Billie Frances Garrison, 72, died Friday, May 25, 2001, at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis of a heart attack.
She was a Wayne Township school bus driver for 31 years and a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary.
Surviving are a daughter, Sandy McClain of Indianapolis; two sisters, Bernice Mathew and Mary Hein, both of New Harmony; two brothers, John Robert and Bobby Gene Wolfe, both of Mount Vernon; four grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
Her husband, Robert, preceded her in death.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Norvell Funeral Home, with burial in Bellefontaine cemetery.

Beatrice Kemp
PRINCETON - Beatrice B. 'Bea' Kemp, 98, died Friday, May 25, 2001, at Good Samaritan Nursing Home in Evansville.
She retired after 40 years of teaching at the Baldwin Heights School.
She was a former member of the Faith United Methodist Church and the organist for more than 40 years.
She was a charter member of Alpha Delta Kappa, Coterie Literary Club and Village Homemakers Club, a member of Morning Etude Club, Business and Professional Women and American Legion Ladies Auxiliary, where she was the pianist.
Surviving are two daughters, Barbara Alvis of San Antonio, Texas, and Marilyn Wright of Evansville; two sisters, Rosalie Capehart of Waynetown and Thelma Kinstle of Lexington, Ky.; nine grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; 12 great-great-grandchildren; and a great-great-great-grandchild. Her husband, Bert, died in 1958, and a daughter, Martha Lewis, died in 1973.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Colvin Funeral Home, with burial in Maple Hill cemetery.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with a 7 p.m. Eastern Star service.

Oral McClure
HUNTINGBURG - Oral Eugene 'Bud' McClure, 74, of Wentzville, Mo., died Saturday, May 26, 2001, at his home of lung cancer.
He retired as a salvage repairman for Chrysler Corp.
He was a member of Wentzville American Legion Post 323.
Surviving are his wife, Delores; two sons, Randall of Moscow Mills, Mo., and Timothy of Fulton, Mo.; two sisters, Wilma Tevault of Huntingburg and Norma Hagemeyer of Stendal; two brothers, Clyde of Winslow and Howard of Muncie; and two grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Nass & Son Funeral Home, with burial in Augusta (Ind.) cemetery.

Nancy Whipple
Nancy C. Whipple, 97, of Evansville, died Thursday, May 24, 2001, at Holiday Health Care. She was employed by the Evansville Cigar Co.
She was a charter member of Washington Avenue Baptist Church.
Surviving are a daughter, Betty Hartman of Evansville; a son, Ronald of Evansville; two grandchildren, Kirk Whipple and Stacey Reinitz; three stepgrandchildren, Jeffery Hartman, Kathy Knight and Robin DeLafforest; six great-grandchildren; seven stepgreat-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Kern, in 1970.
Services will be private, the Rev. Eugene Martin officiating, with burial in Sunset Memorial Park.

Rachel Hahn
Rachel A. Hahn, 97, of Evansville, died Thursday, May 24, 2001, at Deaconess Hospital. She retired from International Steel.
She was a member of Ladies’ Aid and St. Paul United Church of Christ.
Surviving are a niece who cared for her, Evelyn Baker of Evansville; a nephew who cared for her, Jack Baker of Evansville; two caregivers, Herb and Phyllis Roth of Evansville; and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred.
Services will be at noon Tuesday at Alexander Memorial Park Chapel, the Rev. Louis Dorsch officiating, with burial in the cemetery.
Friends may call from 10 a.m. to service time at the chapel.

Nancy Carner
Nancy E. Carner, 58, of Evansville, died Friday, May 25, 2001, at her home of complications of a stroke.
Surviving are her husband, Marion; two daughters, Tonya Trapp and Tearie Williams, both of Evansville; three brothers, Tommy Andrews of Evansville, Billy Andrews of Chicago and Lonnie Andrews of Texas; and two grandchildren, Brandon Williams and Patrick Lisembee.
Services will be at 4 p.m. Sunday at Alexander Funeral Home West Chapel, the Rev. Ernest Stair officiating, with burial in Alexander Memorial Park.

Evelyn Farwick
Evelyn “Annie” Farwick, 86, died Friday, May 25, 2001, at Woodlands Convalescent Center of cancer.
She retired from Mac’s Barbecue in Evansville.
She was a member of First Baptist Church.
Surviving are two sons, James of Chelsea, Ala., and William of Chandler; a sister, Arlene Powell of Palmetto, Fla.; and three grandchildren, Kevin and Chad Farwick and Robin McCamment.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur, in 1999.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Alexander Funeral Home East Chapel, the Rev. Tom Bartley officiating, with burial in Alexander Memorial Park.
