Mary Ellen Glore
Mary Ellen (Ary) Glore, 88, of Evansville, died Friday, June 29, 2001, at Good Samaritan Home of heart disease.
She retired from the Evansville-Vanderburgh School Corp. after more than 20 years, starting at Columbia Grade School and then Vogel Grade School.
She was a charter member of Bible Center Cathedral for more than 50 years.
Surviving are two daughters, Mary Ellen Gardner and Sandra Bailey, both of Evansville; a son, Milburn 'Dewey' Glore Jr. of Indianapolis; two sisters, Loraine Loge of Evansville, and Julia Cremeans of Logansport, Ind.; a brother, J.D. Ary of Evansville; six grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-granddaughter.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Milburn D. Glore Sr., in 1987; and a son, Richard Glore, in 1946.
Services will be at 10 a.m Monday at Miller and Miller Colonial Chapel, the Rev. Rick VanHoose officiating, with burial in Alexander Memorial Park.

Raymond Mann
Raymond A. Mann, 87, formerly of Evansville, died Thursday, June 28, 2001, at Snyder Village Center in Metamora, Ill., of cancer.
He retired from Whirlpool Corp. in 1978.
He was a member of Bethlehem United Church of Christ.
Surviving are a son, Kenneth Mann; a granddaughter, Whitney Mann; and a grandson, Corey Mann, all of Metamora.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Hilda Mann, in 1990.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Bethlehem United Church of Christ, the Revs. Helen 'Penny' Greer and Clifford Janssen officiating, with burial in the church cemetery.
Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Ziemer Funeral Home North Chapel and from 10 a.m. to service time Monday at the church.

Opal Clark
Opal M. Clark, 76, of Evansville, died Thursday, June 28, 2001, at St. Mary's Riverside of complications of Alzheimer's Disease.
She retired from Sears in 1987.
Surviving are two daughters, Joyce Tanner and Barbara Blesch, both of Newburgh; a sister, Shirley Griggs of Evansville; a brother, Donald Bowers of Tifton, Ga.; five grandchildren, Jody Tanner, Tammy Johnson, and Jennifer Bitz, all of Newburgh, Jamie Tyson of Lexington, S.C., and Tracie Rhodes of Evansville; and five great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Alexander Funeral Home East Chapel, the Rev. Donald Moore officiating, with burial in Locust Hill cemetery.
Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Elizabeth Smith
Elizabeth M. Smith, 89, of Evansville, died Friday, June 29, 2001, at Good Samaritan Home.
She was a graduate of Christian College, currently known as Columbia College.
She worked for Kmart and Hallmark, where she designed greeting cards, and as a designer for Wirth Florist.
She was a member of the Evansville Garden Club, Evansville Sinawik Club and Christ Church United Church of Christ.
Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Carter and Toni Smith of St. Louis; and two grandchildren, Jay and Katie Anne Smith.
Services will be at 4 p.m. Sunday at Alexander Funeral Home East Chapel, with burial in St. Joseph Memorial Park in Missouri.
Friends may call from 1 to 4 p.m. at the funeral home.

Margaret Kane
Margaret Langton Kane, 93, formerly of Evansville, died Thursday, June 28, 2001, at her home in St. Louis.
She was a member of Hope of Christ's Resurrection.
Surviving are six children, Marianne K. Bartin, Edward G. Kane, Laurence L. Kane and Margaret M. Kane, all of St. Louis, the Rev. Joseph Kane of Jasper, Ind., and John Kane of Evansville; 10 grandchildren, John, Joseph, Anne and David Bartin, Lauren Sabatelli and Timothy, Kathryn, Brendan, Maura and Brian Kane; nieces and nephews; and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Kane.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Little Flower Church in St. Louis, with burial in Calvary cemetery.
Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. Sunday and from 9 a.m. to service time Monday at Little Flower Church.

Thomas Gibson
Thomas E. Gibson, 75, of Evansville, died Friday, June 29, 2001, at Pine Haven Nursing Home of complications from a stroke.
He retired from Swanson Nunn in 1987 and worked at International Steel for 20 years.
He was a World War II Navy veteran who served in the South Pacific.
He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign War Post 1114, Hadi Shrine, Hadi Shrine Funsters, where he received the Clown of the Year Award in 1985, and St. John United Church of Christ.
Surviving are his wife of 29 years, Patricia; a daughter, Linda Henning of Crossville, Ill., a son, Christopher Gibson of Evansville; three sisters, Edna Lewis of Vincennes, Ind., and Martha Robb and Mandy Rembe, both of Princeton, Ind.; two brothers, Bob Gibson of Elberfeld, Ind., and Wayne Gibson of Vincennes; and three grandsons, Alex, Marc and Eric Henning.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Alexander Funeral Home West Chapel, the Rev. John Branam officiating, with burial in Park Lawn Mausoleum, with military rites.

Elvira Roy
Elvira M. (Doerr) Roy, 93, of Evansville, died Thursday, June 28, 2001, at North Park Nursing Home.
Surviving are two daughters, Vera 'Midge' Schnautz and Doris Smith, both of Evansville; a son, Silas Roy of Evansville; three sisters, Katherine Buente and Lorene Schmidt, both of Evansville, and Helen Scott of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; eight grandchildren, Scott Smith, Tamara Kastle, Sheryl Ashby, and Rick, Sandy, Michael, Vicki and Tony Schnautz; 17 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Silas Roy, in 1979.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Alexander Funeral Home North Chapel, the Rev. Ted Tempel officiating, with burial in Locust Hill cemetery.

Virginia Spangler
Virginia Farley Spangler, 83, formerly of Evansville, died Friday, June 29, 2001, at Baptist Hospital in Nashville, Tenn.
She attended Murray Training School.
She retired as a secretary from Rock Island Oil Refining Co.
She was a member of Washington Avenue Church of Christ.
Surviving are a sister, Ruth Blackwood of Nashville; a niece, Rogina Blackwood Baker of Nashville; a great-niece, Tiffany Baker of Tokyo, Japan; a great-nephew, Ward Baker of Nashville; and a friend, Kayela Statom, whom she cared for.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin Spangler, in 1986.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Murray-Calloway Funeral Home in Nashville. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Locust Hill cemetery in Evansville.
There will be no visitation at Murray-Calloway Funeral Home.

Hazel Coomer
OAKLAND CITY - Hazel Annette Coomer, 84, died Wednesday, June 27, 2001, at Wirth Regional Hospital.
She was a graduate of Olivet Nazarene College.
She was a teacher for several years in Lansing, Ill., for two years in Phoenix, Ariz., and was a missionary teacher in the Kentucky mountain area.
She was a member of the Illinois Education Association and First Church of the Nazarene.
Surviving are a sister, Charlotte Rasche of Oakland City; a brother, Warren Kenneth Coomer of Oakland City; 11 nieces and nephews; several great-nieces and nephews; and several great-great-nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at First Church of the Nazarene, the Revs. Leslie Coomer and Darin D. Nossett officiating, with burial Mount Tabor cemetery in Union.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today and from 8 to 11 a.m. Sunday at Lamb-Basham Memorial Chapel, and from 12:30 p.m. to service time at the church.
