Alice Reel
BICKNELL - Alice (Lag-neau) Reel, 95, died Tuesday, July 3, 2001, at Gentle Care in Vincennes.
She was a member of the First Christian Church and Veterans of Foreign Wars Ladies Auxiliary, where she had served as chaplain.
Surviving are a daughter, Gertrude Salter of Bicknell; a son, Raymond 'Ray' Harrington of Bicknell; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at McClure Funeral Home Bicknell Chapel, with burial in Bicknell Memorial cemetery.

Emma Kramer
FORT BRANCH - Emma L. Kramer, 91, died Wednesday, July 4, 2001, at Gibson General Hospital.
She was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church in Princeton.
Surviving are a daughter, Jo Ann Dukes of Sugar Hill, Ga.; two sons, Bob of Marion and Marvin of Fort Branch; 12 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and three stepgreat-grandchildren.
Her husband, Noble, died in 1983, and a son, Kenneth, died in 1996.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Stodghill Funeral Home, with burial in Walnut Hill cemetery.

Louis Rothschild Jr.
Louis Rothschild Jr., 76, of Evansville, died Tuesday, July 3, 2001, at Select Speciality Hospital-Evansville of kidney failure.
He retired in 1986 after more than 35 years as the owner and operator of Evansville Garage Builders.
He was a World War II Army veteran and held a private pilot license.
He was a 51-year member of Lessing Masonic Lodge, a member of Scottish Rite, Hadi Temple and the Evansville Kennel Club.
Surviving are his wife of 54 years, Billie Joyce (Camfield); a daughter, Kathy Pedon of Indianapolis; two sons, Jerry and Bob, both of Evansville; a brother, Thomas of Evansville; seven grandchildren, Lee Ann Clark, Hallie Nall and Greg, Jeff, Chris, Beth and Brandon Rothschild; five great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel, the Rev. David Mills officiating, with entombment in Alexander Memorial Park.
Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Jean Daniels
Jean Arnold Daniels, 79, of Evansville, died Friday, June 29, 2001, at Brentwood Nursing & Rehabilitation Center of complications of cancer.
She had been a beautician in Chicago for more than 20 years and moved to Evansville in 1997 to help care for her sister.
She was a member of Liberty Baptist Church and on the mother board of Hood Temple.
She enjoyed sewing and knitting.
Surviving are a sister, Ollie Lenear of Evansville; and nieces and nephews including Alice Brodie, who cared for her. Her husband, James, died in 1984.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Liberty Baptist Church, the Rev. Todd Robertson officiating, with burial in Fernwood cemetery in Henderson, Ky.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Miller & Miller Colonial Chapel and from 10 a.m. to service time at the church.
Henry Childs
Henry R. Childs, 86, of Evansville, died Tuesday, July 3, 2001, at Pine Lake Manor. He had worked for Alcoa Warrick Operations, Arkla and Servel and was a member of the Arkla and Servel Retirees.
He was a Navy veteran, graduate of Evansville College and a member of Methodist Temple.
Surviving are nieces and nephews. His wife, Garnett (Hull), preceded him in death.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Alexander Funeral Home East Chapel, the Rev. Patrick Jackson officiating, with entombment in Oak Hill cemetery.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday and from noon to service time at the funeral home.
Judith Ankrom
Judith (McDonald) Ankrom, 51, of Evansville, died Monday, July 2, 2001, at her home of cancer. She had worked for the Evansville-Vanderburgh School Corp. as secretary at Helfrich Park Middle School for 16 years.
She was a graduate of Memorial High School.
She was a member of Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, the Evansville Association of Educational Secretaries, active with the American Cancer Society Relay for Life and instrumental in making the 2001 Vanderburgh County Relay for Life the most successful ever.
Surviving are her husband, Robert “Bob”; a daughter, Kristi Ankrom of Indianapolis; a son, David of Indianapolis; her father, John McDonald of Evansville; two sisters, Barbara Lamble of St. Wendel, Ind., and Dianna Augustine of Newburgh; a brother, Mike McDonald of St. Philip, Ind.; and nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 9:30 a.m. Friday at Ziemer Funeral Home Central Chapel, continuing at 10 a.m. at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, the Rev. Ron Zgunda officiating, with burial in Alexander Memorial Park.
Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with a memorial service at 7 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society Relay for Life or the Hillcrest Home.
Robert Schelosky
Robert C. Schelosky, 84, of Evansville, died Monday, July 2, 2001, at Columbia Health Care Facility. He was president and CEO of Small & Schelosky Co. of Evansville and Indianapolis.
He was a World War II Army Air Corps veteran and member of the American Legion.
He was president of the Congoleum Corp. National Distributors Council in 1967 to 1968 and was awarded a gold watch on his retirement from the presidency for outstanding service in the vinyl industry.
He was a life member of St. Lucas United Church of Christ, a member of Turners, Evansville Kennel Club and Eagles.
Surviving are his wife of 60 years, Mary L. (Moore); a daughter, Sue A. Schelosky of Princeton, Ind.; and nieces and a nephew.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Alexander Funeral Home North Chapel, the Rev. Thomas F. Webster officiating, with burial In Oak Hill cemetery.
Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the church organ fund or the American Red Cross of Southwestern Indiana.
Frederick Weber
Frederick Emil Weber, 85, of Evansville, died Tuesday, July 3, 2001, at St. Mary’s Medical Center. He retired from the Lumas Construction Co. and was a horse racing enthusiast.
Surviving are his wife, Joyce; a daughter, Sandy Head of Evansville; a son, Randy of Nashville, Tenn.; four sisters, Bert Alvey, Alyne Tompson, Maryann VanBritson and Betty Clark, all of Evansville; four grandchildren, Debbie, Leslie, Jamie and Tony; five great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be at noon Friday in Sunset Memorial Park cemetery.

Evelyn Monroe
Evelyn B. Monroe, 76, of Evansville, died Tuesday, July 3, 2001, at Good Samaritan Home. She was an Alzheimer’s and cancer patient.
She taught organ for 40 years at Harding & Miller Music Store, Schuttler Music in Evansville and in Nashville, Tenn.
Surviving are her husband of 56 years, James E.; two daughters, Dana Samson of Newburgh and Tammy Riley of Dallas; a son, James D. of Evansville; two sisters, LaVene Weldon and Pauline Dyer, both of Evansville; and five grandchildren, David and Kyel Samson and Whitney, Linsey and Nick Riley.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Alexander Funeral Home East Chapel, the Rev. Robert E. Cox Sr. officiating, with burial in Sunset Memorial Park cemetery.
Friends may call from 2 to 8 pm. Thursday at the funeral home and from noon to service time.

Jane Baker
Jane F. Baker, 68, of Evansville, died Monday, July 2, 2001, at her home of cancer. She worked at the West Side Hardware Store for 10 years, Heyden-Steber Hardware for 14 years and Welborn Hospital for six years.
She was an active member of St. Boniface Catholic Church, St. Ann’s Auxiliary and the Altar Society.
Surviving are a daughter, Janet Fisher of Evansville; four sons, Daniel and Michael, both of Evansville, Robert of Franklin, Ind., and John of Allen Park, Mich.; a sister, Dolores Randolph of Whites Creek, Tenn.; 12 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Her husband, Kenneth, died in 1997.
Services will be at 9 a.m. Friday at St. Boniface Catholic Church, the Rev. David Martin officiating, with entombment in St. Joseph cemetery.
Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Pierre Funeral Home with a memorial service at 7 p.m., and from 8:30 a.m. to service time at the church.

Jacqueline Maddox
Jacqueline Mercedes Maddox, 2-month-old daughter of Mary Maddox of Evansville, died Tuesday, July 3, 2001, at her home.
The Vanderburgh County coroner is determining the cause of death.
Also surviving are a sister, Ronnidia Waggoner of Evansville; a brother, Daniel Maddox of Evansville; and grandmother, Jacqueline Maddox of Evansville.
