Joan Williams
CHANDLER - Joan L. Williams, 71, died Wednesday, July 25, 2001, at Woodmont Health Campus in Boonville of cancer.
She co-owned Julian's Mobile Court and had worked at Julian's Drug Store in Boonville.
She was a member and deacon in Hemenway Memorial Presbyterian Church in Boonville, the Happy Homemakers Extension Club and Daughters of the American Revolution.
Surviving are her husband of 46 years, Bona R.; a son, James T. of St. Charles, Mo.; a sister, Judy Folz of Boonville; a granddaughter, Candice Alexander of St. Peters, Mo.; and nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Bradley's Colonial Chapel in Boonville, with burial in Maple Grove cemetery.
Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. today and from 8 a.m. to service time at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
Earl Stevens
MOUNT VERNON - Earl E. 'Gene' Stevens, 70, died Thursday, July 26, 2001, at his home of cancer.
He retired in 1990 as an operator after 35 years with Farm Bureau Oil Refinery.
He was a Korean War Army veteran and member of Trinity United Church of Christ.
Surviving are a daughter, Michelle K. Wheaton of Mount Vernon; a son, Michael R. of Princeton, N.J.; a sister, Emily F. Sexton of Fishers; a brother, Jerry Wayne of Mount Vernon; and four grandchildren, Kaitlyn and Kelsey Stevens and Rachel and Hannah Wheaton. His wife, Phyllis, died in 1990.
Services will be at 3 p.m. Sunday at Austin Funeral Home-Boone Chapel in Mount Vernon, with burial in Bellefontaine cemetery.
Friends may call from 3 to 8 pm. Saturday and from 1 p.m. to service time at the funeral home.
Valeda Rudnisky
Valeda Aline Rudnisky, 79, of Evansville, died Tuesday, July 24, 2001, at her home of cancer. She retired in 1972 as head cashier after 30 years with Sears Roebuck and Co.
She was a member of Emanuel Lutheran Church.
Surviving are her caregivers, Jenny Williams and Fred Hauschild. Her husband of 57 years, William, died in April.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Alexander Funeral Home West Chapel, the Rev. Darlene Green officiating, with burial in Emanuel Lutheran cemetery.
Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Donald Glisson
Donald Lee 'Cowboy' Glisson, 66, of Evansville, died Monday, July 23, 2001, at Deaconess Hospital. He was a dialysis patient.
He had been a bartender in area taverns and collected and repaired knives.
He was an Air Force veteran and member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in the city.
Surviving are four daughters, Jodie Seibert of Chandler, Ind., Ruth Ann Gentry of Evansville, Rebecca Robertson of Federal Heights, Colo., and Catherine Rigdon of Mount Vernon, Ind.; a son, Mark Austin of Evansville; a brother, James of Magnolia, Texas; 12 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and Jim and Zada Wall who cared for him.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Miller & Miller Colonial Chapel, the Rev. Donald Lamkin officiating, with burial in St. Joseph cemetery.

Paul Toole
Paul B. Toole, 92, of Evansville, died Wednesday, July 25, 2001, at Regina Continuing Care Center. He was a pharmacist
and had owned and operated Toole Pharmacy and other pharmacies in the Evansville area, retiring in 1968.
He was a graduate of Princeton (Ind.) High School and a 1932 graduate of Purdue University School of Pharmacy and a member of Sigma Pi.
Surviving are his wife of 62 years, Louise (Payne); and a sister, Margaret O'Toole of West Lafayette, Ind.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel, the Rev. Will Jewsbury officiating, with entombment in Sunset Memorial Park cemetery.

Jethro Garrett
Jethro H. Garrett, 60, of Evansville, died Wednesday, July 25, 2001, at his home of renal failure. He retired from the ingot department at Alcoa Warrick Operations, was a member of the 25-Year Club and a steward with Alcoa Local 104.
He attended St. Mary Catholic Church and was a fisherman and Mater Dei wrestling team enthusiast.
Surviving are his wife of 39 years, Donna; a daughter, Beth Garrett of Evansville; two sons, Sean of Evansville and Jason of Auburn, Ill.; and seven grandchildren, Scarlett Robertson, Hunter, Samantha, Jordan, Alex and Olivia Garrett and Ryan Horan.
Services will be at 8:30 a.m. Saturday at Ziemer Funeral Home Central Chapel, continuing at 9 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church, the pastoral team officiating, with burial in St. Joseph cemetery.
Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Friday, with a memorial service at 7 p.m., at the funeral home.

Dorothy Bruner
Dorothy M. Bruner, 82, of Evansville, died Wednesday, July 25, 2001, at Select Specialty Hospital-Evansville. She was a member of Vann Avenue Baptist Church.
She was a camping enthusiast and member of the Golden Eagles Camping Club.
Surviving are a daughter, Terri Lafenhagen of Evansville; a son, Robert of Chicago; a sister, Martha Harper of Texas; three brothers, Leslie R. Schoonover of Evansville, Calvin Schoonover of Missouri, and Donald Schoonover of Las Vegas; and a grandchild, Chris Vincent. Her husband, Malcolm Henry, died in 1991.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Alexander Funeral Home East Chapel, the Rev. Robert A. Nall officiating, burial will be private.

Berry Sunderman
Berry Lee 'Stinger' Sunderman, 50, of Evansville, died Wednesday, July 25, 2001, at St. Mary's Medical Center of injuries from a motorcycle accident on July 5, 2001.
He was a fisherman and enjoyed motorcycle riding.
Surviving are his wife of 23 years, Ruby Mae; a stepson, Shawn Decker of Evansville; his parents, Guthrie and Norma Sunderman of Evansville; a sister, Linda Denton of Indianapolis; a brother, Kevin of Holland, Mich.; three grandchildren, Christopher, Damian and Skylar; and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by two daughters, Shari and Alice Lee-Ann Sunderman.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Alexander Funeral Home North Chapel, Glenn Bohlen officiating, with burial in Locust Hill cemetery.

Fransue Knowles
Fransue O. Knowles, 75, of Evansville, died Tuesday, July 24, 2001, at St. Mary's Medical Center of congestive heart failure.
She had taught French and English in the Cleveland, Ohio, school system.
She was a graduate of Baldwin-Wallace College.
She was a member of St. Mathew's United Church of Christ, St. Andrew's Society and Phi Mu Sorority.
She enjoyed gardening, played the piano and wrote poetry.
Surviving are a daughter, Susan Knowles of Evansville; a son, Louis H. of Cleveland; and five grandchildren, Heather Messenger, Arthur and John Webb and Michelle and Johrdan Knowles.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Louis R., in 1964.
Services will be at 7 p.m. Friday at St. Mathew's United Church of Christ, the Rev. Tom Cofer officiating, with burial in Highland Park in Cleveland.
There will be no visitation at Alexander Funeral Home North Chapel.
Memorial contributions may be made to food pantry at her church.
Infant Larren Johnson
Larren Michael Johnson, newborn son of Karese Peebles and Christopher Johnson of Evansville, died Monday, July 23, 2001, shortly after birth at Deaconess Women's Hospital of respiratory failure.
Also surviving are a sister, Chaquille Johnson of Evansville; and a brother, Keenan Johnson of Evansville; grandparents, Karen and Michael Cattlett and Larry and Barbara Johnson; and great-grandparents.
Services will be at noon Friday at Mason Bros. Memorial Chapel, the Rev. R.V. Terry officiating, with burial in Oak Hill cemetery.
