Linda Tuggle
BOONVILLE — Linda M. Tuggle, 59, died Tuesday, Sept. 19, 2000, at her home of cancer.
She was a member of the Main Street United Methodist Church and directed the Praise and Prayer Worship. She played piano for several worship services in the area, including the Main Street Baptist Praise Team. She was a member of the Warrick Promenaders.
Surviving are her husband of 38 years, Roger; a daughter, Joellen McAninch of Columbus; a son, Lewis of Evansville; her mother, Evelyn Huneke of Lena, Ill.; a sister, Brenda Thomas of Denver; a brother, Larrie Huneke of Lena; and nieces and nephews.
A memorial celebration will be at 7 p.m. today at the Main Street United Methodist Church, with burial in Yellow Creek cemetery in Lena, Ill., at 1 p.m. Saturday.
Friends may call from 6:30 p.m. to service time at the church. Koehler Funeral Home Boonville Chapel is handling arrangements.

James Yaggi
MOUNT VERNON — James B. “Jack” Yaggi, 83, died Wednesday, Sept. 20, 2000, at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville of complications of cancer.
He was co-owner of Yaggi's Plumbing and Heating for 65 years.
He was a member of St. Matthew Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus, Elks, Eagles and American Legion Post 5. He was a charter member of Mount Vernon Fire and Rescue and had been with the fire department in Mount Vernon for 30 years.
Surviving are two sons, James B. II and Roger D., both of Mount Vernon; a brother, John of Mount Vernon; and a niece and nephew. His wife, Alice B., died in 1998.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Matthew Catholic Church, with burial in the church cemetery.
Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. today, with a rosary at 6:30 p.m., at Norvell Funeral Home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the church.
Halsie Hargrove
MOUNT VERNON — Halsie L. Hargrove, 82, did Tuesday Sept. 19, 2000, at the Mount Vernon Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Surviving are a son, Charles R. of Mount Vernon; two brothers, Gerald Walls of Mount Vernon and Gene Walls of Texas; four grandchildren, Robert E. and Johnny Hargrove, Teresa Osborne and Connie Baber; 14 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; and nieces and nephews.
Her husband, Charles P., died in 1970.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Friday in Union Ridge cemetery in New Haven, Ill. There will be no visitation at Boone Funeral Home Mount Vernon Chapel.
Memorial contributions may be made to Posey County Humane Society.
Paul Stickels
MOUNT VERNON — Paul Allan Stickels, 58, died Tuesday, Sept. 19, 2000, at his home of cancer.
He worked for the high-
way department in Posey County, before becoming disabled.
Surviving are a daughter, Jessica Hansen of Mount Vernon; two sons, James of Bloomington and Joseph of Lexington, Ky.; his mother, Adelma Stickels of Bloomington; a sister, Geneva Pfaff of Bloomington; four brothers, Ralph and Don, both of Bloomington, Bob of Houston and Michael of Easley, S.C.; two grandchildren, Earl Stickels and David Hansen; nieces and nephews; and his former wife who cared for him, Carrie (McReynolds) Stickels.
Services will be at 8 p.m. Friday at Boone Funeral Home Mount Vernon Chapel, with burial in Valhalla cemetery in Bloomington.
Friends may call from 6 p.m. to service time at the funeral home.

Shirley Snider
ROCKPORT — Shirley Jean Snider, 59, of Owensboro, Ky., died Wednesday, Sept. 20, 2000, at her home of cancer.
Surviving are her daughter, Pam LaCrosse of Owensboro; a son, Keith of Owensboro; her mother, Catherine Spinks of Owensboro; five sisters, Joyce Knight and Patty Albert, both of Owensboro, Carolyn Ashby of Florida, Laquita Harrison of Tell City and Debbie Lambert of Grandview; two brothers, Terry Spinks of Rockport and James Spinks of Opelka, Ala.; and a grandson, Keith LaCrosse.
Her husband, Edward Louis, died in 1997 and a son, Robert, died in 1992.
Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. today at Boultinghouse Funeral Home, burial will be in Elmwood cemetery in Hammond, Ind., on Friday.
Leora Taylor
BRUCEVILLE — Leora M. Taylor, 98, died Monday, Sept. 18, 2000, at Richland Bean Blossom Health Care Center in Ellettsville.
She was a member of the Bruceville Christian Church and Veterans of Foreign Wars Ladies Auxiliary.
Surviving are a son, Gerald of Bloomington; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Verna, two daughters, Loretta Purkhiser and Lela Shaw, and a son, Wayne Taylor.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at McClure Funeral Home Bruceville Chapel, with burial in Asbury Chapel cemetery in Ragsdale.

Margaret DeKemper
MOUNT VERNON — Margaret E. DeKemper, 91, died Wednesday, Sept. 20, 2000, at Mount Vernon Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church.
Surviving are three daughters, Grace Lowrey, Connie Sharp and Jean Cox, all of Mount Vernon; a son, Wayne of Mount Vernon; eight grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Her husband, William B., preceded her in death.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Boone Funeral Home Mount Vernon Chapel, with entombment in Fairmont cemetery.

Elmo Clapp Sr.
Elmo F. Clapp Sr., 92, of Punta Gorda, Fla., formerly of Evansville, died Tuesday, Nov. 7, 2000, at Fawcett Memorial Hospital in Port Charlotte, Fla.
He retired in 1974 after 21 years as principal of the West Terrace Elementary School and taught school for 18 years in Dubois County and four years in Martin County.
He was a graduate of Oakland City College and received his master’s degree from Indiana University.
He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Punta Gorda. He was a 32nd-degree Mason and member of the Scottish Rite. He was active in genealogy research and was the author of a book, “The German Clapps in America.”
Surviving are his wife of 65 years, Pauline I. (Case); a daughter, Linda L. Schneider of Punta Gorda; two sons, Elmo “Frank” Jr. of Davenport, Iowa, and James R of Cincinnati; five grandchildren, David and Christopher Clapp, Joseph F. and Tracey Schneider III and JoLynn Hightower; and two great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Kemple-Dillman-Ellis Funeral Home in Paoli, Ind., with burial in Mount Lebanon cemetery in French Lick, Ind.

Grethel Cates
Grethel Art Cates, 78, father of Lynn Rogers of Evansville, died Monday, Nov. 6, 2000, at his home in West Terre Haute, Ind., of cancer.
He retired in 1975 after 26 years as a truck driver with Commercial Transport Trucking Co. and was a member of Teamsters Local 144.
He was a World War II Army veteran and member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 6574.
Also surviving are his wife of 54 years, Wilda Lee (Hobgood); a daughter, Gloria Nickel of West Terre Haute; two sons, Bud of Dennison, Ill., and Lee of New Goshen; and 11 grandchildren, Glen Groben, Aaron and Mason Camp, Sarah Lively, Emily and Matthew Rodgers, Amy, Kyle Leslie, Lindsey and Carlie Cates.
Services will be at 10 a.m. EST Friday at Fitzpatrick-Pearce Funeral Home in West Terre Haute, Ind., the Rev. Jay Franklin officiating, with burial at 3 p.m. CST in Mount Pleasant cemetery in Sebree, Ky.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m . today and from 7 a.m. to service time at the funeral home.

Charles Huppert II
Charles Christopher Huppert II, 56, formerly of Evansville, died Monday, Oct. 23, 2000, at his home in Chelan, Wash., of a heart attack.
He owned the Golden Florins a natural food store and Bear Foods Wholesale in Chelan and had worked as a chemist.
He was a 1961 graduate of Central High School and attended Indiana University.
Surviving are his parents, Charles C. and Betty Jean (Tyson) Huppert of Evansville.
Service were in Chelan, Wash., with burial in Fraternal cemetery in Chelan.
Marcia Hipp
Marcia (Kroeger) Hipp, 63, of Evansville, died Monday, Nov. 6, 2000, at her home of cancer. She had worked as a certified
dental assistant and as a tour guide with Ken Hipp Tours.
She was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church in the county, St. Ann’s Altar Society, Senior Citizens Club and the Widow and Widowers Club at the church. She was past president of the Army Reserve Wives Club and the Friendly Homemakers Extension Club.
Surviving are two daughters, Theresa A. Gapp of Park Ridge, Ill., and Cheryl M. and her husband, Toschiyuki Kikuchi of Evansville, who cared for her; her mother, Dorothy T. Kroeger of Evansville; and a brother, Michael Kroeger of High Hill, Mo.
Her husband, Kenneth, died in 1993.
Services will be at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at Pierre Funeral Home, continuing at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church in the county, the Rev. Eugene Schroeder officiating, with burial in the church cemetery.
Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral Home, with a memorial service at 7 p.m.
