Margaret Toelle
Margaret Frances Toelle, 90, of Evansville, died Thursday, Dec. 14, 2000, at Pine Haven Nursing Home of congestive heart failure.
She had been a seamstress at Bartels Manufacturing.
She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and the Legion of Mary.
Surviving are two daughters, Sharon Blaine of St. Philip, Ind., and Mary Lutz of Evansville; four sons, Don and John, both of Evansville and Jerry and David, both of St. Philip; 19 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Norman, in 1966, and a daughter, Judith Schmits, in 1999.
Services will be at 8:45 a.m. Monday at Pierre Funeral Home, continuing at 9 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, the Rev. Eugene Dewig officiating, with burial in Alexander Memorial Park.
Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, with a memorial service at 7 p.m.

Virginia Sutter
Virginia Lee Sutter, 74, of Ocala, Fla., sister of Luther Boling of Evansville, died Monday, Dec. 11, 2000, at National Health Care in Murfreesboro, Tenn.
She was a member of New Harvest Church of God in Ocala.
Also surviving are three daughters, Carylon Sue Sweat of Ocala, Brenda Jo Sweat of McMinnville, Tenn., and Barbara Ruffner of Murfreesboro; a son, Jerry Van Zandt of Ocala; four sisters, Mary Dell Rhodes, Joyce Nelson and Dorothy Smith, all of Evansville and Faye Casteel of Hartford, Ky.; nine grandchildren; and 12 great grandchildren.
Services were held Friday at Roberts Funeral Home Downtown Chapel in Ocala. Burial was in Florida National cemetery in Buschnell, Fla.
Lena Wolf
Lena C. Wolf, 99, of Evansville, died Thursday, Dec. 14, 2000, at Holiday Health Care.
She was a member of Holy Redeemer Catholic Church and Daughters of Isabella Assumption Circle No. 144.
Surviving are two daughters, Lucille Richardville of Haubstadt, Ind. and Mary Ann Baehl of Evansville; a son, Ronald J. of Lawrence, Kan.; two sisters, her twin, Rose Huther of Mishawaka, Ind., and Frieda Wassmer of New Harmony, Ind.; 18 grandchildren; and 27 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William James, in 1977, and by a son, William John, in 1995.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, the Rev. Ronald Zgunda officiating, with burial in St. Joseph cemetery.
Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday, with a memorial service at 3 p.m., at Pierre Funeral Home and from 10:30 a.m. to service time at the church.

Orville Hall
Orville L. Hall, 63, of Evansville, died Friday, Dec. 15, 2000, at Deaconess Hospital of complications of a blood infection.
He had worked at Emge Packaging Co. for 28 years. He had also worked in the gardening department and played Santa Claus at Target.
He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Vanderburgh County.
Surviving are his wife of 42 years, Jeanette (Elpers); two daughters, Tina M. Tenbarge and Darla Kell, both of Evansville; a son, Todd of Evansville; his mother, Emma Baehl of Evansville; a sister, Rosemary Brown of Tulsa, Okla.; a brother, Richard of Poseyville, Ind.; and seven grandchildren, Tiffany and Troy Tenbarge, Jessica and Jeremy Kell and Laura, Joshua and Zacheriah Hall.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, the Rev. Eugene Schroeder officiating, with burial in the church cemetery.
Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Pierre Funeral Home, with a memorial service at 5 p.m., and from 10:30 a.m. to service time at the church.

Edwin Cranor
Edwin M. Cranor, 85, of Evansville, died Friday, Dec. 15, 2000, at St. Mary’s Medical Center.
He retired in 1977 from George Koch Sons and was a member of George Koch Sons Retiree Club.
Surviving are a daughter, Joan Peach of Newburgh; a son, Bob of Centerville, Utah; two sisters, Maxine Miller of Evansville and Sophia Jones of Owensboro, Ky.; a brother, Leonard of Rogerville, Mo.; six grandchild-ren, Jarod Cranor, Stacy Uffens, Kellie Edgar, Lorie Brown and Jennifer and Larry Peach; three great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Anna Leon (Carlisle), in 1964.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel, Bob Cranor and the Rev. Bret Myers officiating, with burial in Park Lawn cemetery.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Trudy Welsch
MOUNT VERNON — Trudy A. Welsch, 50, died Thursday, Dec. 14, 2000, at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville of cancer.
She was a member of Mount Vernon General Baptist Church and Ladies Bible class.
Surviving are a daughter, Renee Jackson of Mount Vernon; her father and stepmother, Wayne and Mary Ann Williams of Wayne City, Ill.; a brother, Michael Williams of Hot Springs, Ark.; three grandchildren, Melissa, Eric and Alex Jackson; and nieces.
Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Mount Vernon General Baptist Church. There will be no visitation.
Boone Funeral Home Mount Vernon Chapel is handling arrangements.

Isabelle Yellig
MARIAH HILL — Isabelle “Bella” Yellig, 98, died Friday, Dec. 15, 2000, at Scenic Hills Care Center in Ferdinand.
She was the former owner of The Chateau.
She was a member of Daughters of Isabella and Santa Claus Legion Auxiliary.
Surviving are a daughter, Patricia Koch of Santa Claus; a sister, Elenora “Betsy” Dilger of Mariah Hill; five grandchildren, Natalie, William Jr., Philip and Daniel Koch and Dr. Kristi Koch George; and eight great-grandchildren.
She was prececed in death by her husband, R.J., and a son, Ray Jr.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Mary Help of Christians Church in Mariah Hill, with burial in the church cemetery.
Friends may call from 1 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Becher Funeral Home in Ferdinand, with a prayer service at 4:30 p.m., followed by a memorial service.

Orville Green
PETERSBURG — Orville E. Green, 87, died Thursday, Dec. 14, 2000, at Amber Manor Nursing Home.
He retired as a coal miner from Enos Coal Co. and was a member of United Mine Workers of America. He was a World War II Navy veteran.
He was a member of Bethel General Baptist Church and a Mason.
Surviving are his wife of 63 years, Mabel; and nephews.
Services will be at 2 p.m. EST Sunday at Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg, with burial in Walnut Hills cemetery in Petersburg.
Friends may call from 2 to 9 p.m. today and from noon to service time at the funeral home.
Delores Hochgesang
JASPER — Delores Hochgesang, 80, died Friday, Dec. 15, 2000, at Heritage House Health & Rehabilitation Center.
She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church and Blessed Virgin Sodality.
She was also a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Ladies Auxiliary and American Legion Ladies Auxiliary.
Surviving are a daughter, Carol Gudorf of Jasper; two sons, Eugene and Randy Hochgesang, both of Jasper; seven grandchild-ren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Her husband, Thomas B., died in 1970.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. EST Tuesday at Holy Family Catholic Church, with burial in Fairview cemetery.
Friends may call from noon to 8 p.m. Monday at Becher-Kluesner Funeral Home Downtown Chapel, with a rosary service at 3 p.m. and a memorial service at 7:30 p.m.

Marie Nee
VINCENNES — Marie Catherine Nee, 75, of Frederick, Md., formerly of Vincennes, died Wednesday, Dec. 13, 2000, at Frederick Memorial Hospital.
She retired in 1987 as head nurse of floor 3-A at Frederick Memorial Hospital.
She was a graduate of St. Mary’s Hospital School of Nursing in Evansville.
She was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church and had been a volunteer with the local chapter of the American Red Cross.
Surviving are her husband of 51 years, Daniel Thomas; two daughters, Susanne M. Basford of Walkersville, Md., and Rebecca E. Auldridge of Keedysville, Md.; two sons, Stephen T. of Selbyville, Del., and James A. of Frederick; two sisters, Ruth Minderman of Lawrenceville, Ill., and Clara Wakelam of Indiana; two brothers, retired Col. Joseph Stangle of Allegany, N.Y., and Frank Stangle of Vincennes; eight grandchildren, Hillary Lutz, Emily, Isaac and James Auldridge, Elizabeth and Jeremy Nee, Laura Stein and Joseph Basford; and two great-grandchildren.
Services will be at noon EST Monday at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Frederick, with burial in Mount Olivet cemetery there.
Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Keeney & Basford Funeral Home in Frederick.
