Infant Danny Hardin
SELVIN — Danny Clayton Hardin, 3 l-month-old-son of Tim and Maggie Hardin of Selvin, died Saturday, Dec. 16, 2000,
at St. Mary’s Warrick in Boonville. The cause of death is pending autopsy results.
Also surviving are a sister, Carissa Hardin at home; a brother, Trever Hardin at home; grandparents, Brad and Tammy Quick, Otis McCallister and Jerry and Pauline Hardin; great-grandparents; and a great-great-grandmother.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Koehler Funeral Home Boonville Chapel, with burial pending. Friends may call from 11 a.m. to service time at the funeral home.
James Russell
MOUNT VERNON — James O. Russell, 60, died of a heart attack Saturday, Dec. 16, 2000, at Deaconess Hospital.
He retired after 35 years with General Electric.
He was an Army veteran and member of the American Legion Post 5 and the M-Mens Club.
He attended Harvestime Temple.
He played college and Army basketball.
Surviving are his wife of 40 years, Joyce (Rowe); two daughters, Melanie Ewers of St. Philip and Angie Stierley of Wadesville; two sons, Danny of Mount Vernon and Randy of Eddyville, Ky.; three sisters, Rita Simpson and Brenda Snelling, both of Mount Vernon, and Elizabeth Kietel of Evansville; two brothers, Donald of Newburgh and Ronald of Colcord, Okla.; and five grandchildren, Josh and Morgan Stierley, Derek and Jacob Ewers and Dylan Russell.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Tygart Funeral Home, with burial in Bellefontaine cemetery.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the church or Posey County Senior Center.
Clement Mason
SPURGEON — Clement R. Mason, 75, formerly of Pike County, died Thursday, Dec. 14, 2000, at Baptist Hospital in Miami, Fla., of complications of surgery.
He retired in 1985 as plant manager of Liquid Carbonic Co. in Calumet City.
He was a graduate of Oakland City College.
He was a World War II Army veteran, member of Hadi Shrine, a Kentucky Colonel and a 50-year member of Lynnville Masonic Lodge.
Surviving are a son, Rusty of Ramrod Key, Fla.; three sisters, Mabel Ryan of Christmas Lake Village, Ruth Savage of Evansville and Betty Lou Barrett of Indianapolis; and a brother, Maurice of Henderson, Ky.
His wife, Dortha Jean, died in 1993.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Pemberton-Bradley Funeral Home in Lynnville, with burial in Spurgeon cemetery.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. today, with a Masonic service at 7 p.m., and from 8 a.m. to service time at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Shriners Hospital for Children.
Eugene E. Ridgway
NEW HARMONY — Eugene E. “Huey” Ridgway, 80, died of a heart condition Saturday, Dec. 16, 2000, at Deaconess Hospital.
He had been a steel cutter.
He was a World War II veteran and member of American Legion Post 370.
Surviving are his wife, Estelle (Victory); two daughters, Teresa Waller of Mount Vernon and Barb Nolen of Las Cruces, N.M.; four sons, Jeff of Columbus, Ohio, Mike of Lewis Center, Ohio, Jim of Billings, Mont., and John of Las Cruces; a sister, Luella Lee Wertman of Creston, Ohio; a brother, Bob of Wooster, Ohio; 13 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
A daughter, Renee Wilson, died in 1982.
Graveside services are pending with Werry Funeral Home. Burial will be in Maple Hill cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to New Harmony American Legion Post 370 or the fire department.
James Minnette
James C. “Jim” Minnette, 69, of Evansville, died Tuesday, Dec. 12, 2000, at St. Mary’s Medical Center of complications of renal failure.
He retired in 1978 from the Evansville Fire Department and in 1988 from the Evansville City Garage.
He was a member of St. Theresa Catholic Church and Evansville Athletic Club, where he was president for four years. He was formerly secretary for the Fireman’s Pension Fund for 10 years.
Surviving are four sons, Jim, Jeff, John and Joe, all of Evansville; six sisters, Pat Devlin, Joanie Minnette, Rita Nellis, Peggy Schnur and Carol Wingerter, all of Evansville, and Betty Werner of Princeton, Ky.; and six grandchildren, Andy, Amy, Samantha, Matthew, Maggie and Carl Minnette.
His wife, Wilma “Jean, ” died in 1998.
Services will be at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at Ziemer Funeral Home Central Chapel, continuing at 10 a.m. at St. Theresa Church, the Rev. Mike Allen officiating, with burial in St. Joseph cemetery.
Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, with a memorial service at 7 p.m.

Angela Lapp
Angela R. (Raben) Lapp, 79, of Evansville, died Tuesday, Dec. 12, 2000, at St. Mary’s Medical Center of complications of a stroke.
She had worked at Mead Johnson & Co. and Hertz Truck Rental.
She was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church and a former member of Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Haubstadt, Ind.
Surviving are two sons, John of Haubstadt and Daniel of Fort Wayne, Ind.; three sisters, Sister Mary Sharon Raben of Oldenburg, Ind., Rose Ann Nagey of Hammond, Ind., and Alice Craff of Hot Springs, Ark.; a grandson, Logan Lapp; and nieces and nephews.
Her husband, Henry J., died in 1977.
Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Friday at Ziemer Funeral Home East Chapel, continuing at 3 p.m. at Holy Rosary Church, the Rev. John Breidenbach officiating, with burial in St. Joseph cemetery.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today, with a memorial service at 7:30 p.m., and from noon to service time at the funeral home.

Mary Martin
Mary M. Martin, 87, of Newburgh, died Tuesday, Dec. 12, 2000, at Cypress Grove Rehabilitation Center.
She was a member of St. John Catholic Church.
Surviving are her husband, John C. Sr.; a son, John C. Jr.; three grandchildren, David and Michael Martin and Lara Webber; three great-grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren; and two stepgreat-grandchildren.
Services will be at 8:30 a.m. Saturday at Simpson Funeral Home Newburgh Chapel, continuing at 9 a.m. at St. John Church, the Rev. Joe Ziliak officiating, with burial in the church cemetery.

Mildred Booher
Mildred Booher, 80, of Evansville, died Monday, Dec. 11, 2000, at Parkview Care Center.
She was a dispensing optician and receptionist for Booher Optical, a member of Aldersgate Methodist Church and of Eastern Star in Bicknell, Ind.
Surviving are her husband of 53 years, Richard; two sons, Robert Charles of South Bend, Ind., and Verly J. of Evansville; and two grandsons, Brett and Ryan Booher.
Memorial services will be at 4 p.m. Saturday at Aldersgate Church. There will be no visitation at Simpson Meyer Funeral Home.
Mary Rusche
Mary Jane Rusche, 80, of Evansville, died Monday, Dec. 11, 2000, at home.
She was secretary-treasurer for 28 years at Shouse-Brill Construction Co. and was formerly a secretary in the launching department at Evansville Shipyards.
She was a charter member of Women in Construction and a member of American Association of Retired Persons Chapter 1956.
Surviving are a daughter, Sylvia J. Ray of Louisville, Ky.; a grandson, Brian M. Ray of Covington, Ky.; and nieces and nephews.
Her husband, Sylvester “Jack, ” died in 1980.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Alexander Funeral Home East Chapel, the Rev. Robert Wannemuehler officiating, with burial in St. Joseph cemetery.

Alice Collins
Alice Mae Collins, 86, of Evansville, died Wednesday, Dec. 13, 2000, at Pine Haven Nursing Home.
She retired from Pine Haven Nursing Home.
Surviving are a son, Robert E. of Evansville; a sister, Geraldine Vaughn of Evansville; a brother, Harold Vaughn of Evansville; three grandchildren, Kim Beasley, Kelly Crowell and John Robert “Robbie” Collins; five great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
Her husband, Sturgis, died in 1979 and a son, John, in 1998.
Services will be at 9 a.m. Saturday at Alexander Funeral Home North Chapel, with burial in Alexander Memorial Park.
