David Brian Manlove
INDIANAPOLIS – David Brian Manlove, 56, Indianapolis, passed away on Thursday, Sept. 29, 2011 at Wishard Hospital in Indianapolis.
He was born in Marion on July 25, 1955 to George and Harriet (DeLawter) Manlove.
On Feb. 14, 1981 David married Sandra Vautaw and they had celebrated over 30 years of marriage.
David was a 1973 graduate of Tipton High School and went on to attend Purdue University.
He also was a member of Trinity Wesleyan Church in Tipton.
In his spare time David enjoyed spending time on the computer often reading and researching anything automotive related.
He was employed at Indy Tire in Indianapolis as a master automotive technician.
Survivors include his wife, Sandra Manlove of Indianapolis; a son, Michael and wife Sandy Manlove of Indianapolis; a daughter, Vanessa Manlove of Indianapolis; and three grandchildren, Madison, Mackenzie and Mollie Manlove all of Indianapolis.
David is also survived by his parents, George and Harriet Manlove of Tipton; a sister, Patricia and husband Greg Martin of Phoenix, Ariz.; and a brother, Don Manlove of Tipton.
David was preceded in death a sister-in-law Debby Manlove.
Funeral services will be at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 4, 2011 at Porter Funeral Home in Tipton with Pastor Doug Slack officiating.
Calling hours will be from 2 to 6 p.m. the day of services. Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery.
Trudy Arleen Goodmanson
Trudy Arleen Goodmanson, 68, Tipton died at 12:30 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 1, 2011 at Kindred Hospital in Indianapolis
She was born on Sept. 14, 1943 in Anderson, the daughter of Herbert Kenneth and Thelma (Appleget) Bodenhorn.
On June 26, 1993, she married Gary Goodmanson in Tipton. He survives in Tipton.
She was a machinist for Acraline and was a member of Rock Prairie Baptist Church in Tipton.
Along with her husband, she is survived by her children, Gary Dunigan of Hampton, Ga., Jamie Kay McClain of Charlotte, N.C. and Greg Lunsford of Kempton; a step-son, Richard Goodmanson of Tipton; a brother, Terrell Bodenhorn, Seneca, S.C.; her grandchildren, Kevin Dunigan, Anthony Dunigan, Robert Dunigan, Tiffany Fleming, Michale McGrath, Mathew McGrath, Jacob Lunsford, Brandon Lunsford, Richard Griffin and Mathew Griffin; and three great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 3 to 5 p.m. today at Leatherman-Morris-Boyer Funeral Home in Tipton.
Trudy L. Garrison
Trudy L. Garrison, 61, of rural Frankton, died Oct. 27, 2011 at St. John’s Hospital in Anderson after a courageous battle with cancer.
She was born April 25, 1950 in Mora, Minn., the daughter of Joseph and Norma (Moline) Brockner.
Trudy attended grade school in a one-room school house in Knife Lake Township north of Mora, Minn. and later graduated from Mora High School in 1968.
She moved to Indiana in 1989 and married Russell Garrison Feb. 7, 1999.
Trudy’s family was very important to her and she communicated with family members through phone calls and hand-written letters.
Trudy loved to garden, cook, sew and give her husband, Russell, a hard time, and he gave it right back to her in fun. Trudy loved life and will be greatly missed by her famiily and friends.
Trudy leaves behind her soul mate, Russell Garrison of Frankton who was a loving and caring husband and loyal friend for 22 years. Trudy is also survived by her son, Gordon (Kelly) Mitchell of Ogilvie, Minn.; a daughter, Dawn (Dusty) Heald of Ogilvie, Minn.; five brothers, Greg (LuAnn) Brockner of Mora, Minn., Larry Brockner of Mora, Minn., Michael (Cathy) Brockner of Mora, Minn., Joey Brockner of Mora, Minn. and Bob Brockner of Mora, Minn.; two sisters, Vicki (Michael) Plumley of Mora, Minn. and Mary (Richard) Heding of Elk River, Minn.; five grandchildren, Britany, Kirk, Collin, Bailey and Tanner, all of Mora, Minn.; stepmother, Carol Brockner of Cambridge, Minn.; stepfather, Kenneth Olson of Mora, Minn.; nieces and nephews, Angie, Christine, Sarah, Sheila, Nicole, Riley, Jackie, Charity, Megan, Lexie, Justin, Steven, Brian, Michael Brockner Jr., Nathan, Michael Plumley Jr., Jessie, Chad and Kevin; and special friends, Mark and Cindy Schott.
She was preceded in death by parents, Joseph and Norma Brockner; a brother, Benjamin John Brockner; and foster parents, Stanley and Ruth Soderstrom.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 3, 2011 at Copher-Fesler-May Funeral Home in Elwood with the Rev. Randy Murphy officiating. Burial will follow in the Elwood City Cemetery.
Visitation will be from noon to 2 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the ASPCA (American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals) through the funeral home.
The family wishes to thank St. John’s Hospice and Home Care for the exceptional care they have provided for Trudy.
Ruby Pauline Wolf
Ruby Pauline Wolf, 82 of Tipton died Friday, Oct. 28, 2011 at Miller's Merry Manor.
She was born Nov. 1, 1928 in Goodland, to Howard and Edna (Royce) Ropp.
She married Charles J. Wolf on Aug. 28, 1948. He preceded her in death on June 7, 2003.
She was an administrative assistant at FMC retiring in 1986. She was also a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Tipton, the John Purdue Club, and Tipton County Purdue Club.
Survivors include four sons, Steven Wolf of Atlanta, John Wolf of Ohio, Daniel Wolf of West Allis, Wis., and David Wolf of Crystal Lake, Ill.; 10 grandchildren; and four great-grand children.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 31, 2011 at the First Presbyterian Church, Tipton with the Rev. Linda Philabaun officiating. Burial will be at 3 p.m. Monday at Goodland Cemetery
in Goodland.
Friends may call from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Young-Nichols Funeral Home, Tipton and Monday from 10 to 11 a.m. at the church.

Patricia A. "Patty" Vandevender
Patricia A. "Patty" Vandevender, 75, of Tipton died at 11:25 p.m. Friday, Nov. 25, 2011 at I.U. Health Tipton Hospital.
She was born in Tipton County on Aug. 12, 1936 to Basil and Edna (Adams) Teter.
She married Dale Vandevender on Feb. 14, 1958. He preceded her in death on Feb. 17, 2008.
Patty was a homemaker. She belonged to the Tetersburg Christian Church and the Willing Workers group at the church.
She is survived by three children, Dennis Vandevender, Regina Neff and Rick Vandevender, all of Tipton; two brothers, Jack Teter and Ron Teter of Tipton, a sister, Christina "Teny" Teter of Monticello; seven grandchildren, Evan and Trevor Vandevender, Mary, Jack and Abby Neff and Josh and Jarryd Jefferies. Patty also has one great-grandchild, Mason Chaplin.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Bill and Dan Teter.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 30, at Young-Nichols Funeral Home with the Rev. Lee Mangold presiding. Burial will follow at Tetersburg Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Barry Allan Lange
WINDFALL – Barry Allan Lange, 56, Windfall, passed away on Tuesday, Dec. 27, 2011 at Howard Regional Health System in Kokomo.
He was born in Tipton County to Alfred and Flossie (Cardwell) Lange on May 17, 1955.
Barry was a 1973 graduate of Tri Central High School. He worked at Voris Seeds in Windfall until their closure and then worked at Steel Parts in Tipton until the time of his illness.
He was married to Missy (Callan) and they had two sons, Tyler Scott Lange and Travis Michael Lange, both of Windfall.
Missy and Barry later divorced but remained the best of friends.
Barry enjoyed spending time with his sons, riding his motorcycle and going to the campground with friends. He was a fun-loving guy who had a wonderful sense of humor and brought that humor out in others.
Barry is survived by his two sons, Tyler and Travis; brothers, Bill (Beth) Lange and Bob (Debbie) Lange; sisters, Bonnie Lange, Beverly Asher and Bonita (Doug) Long; and a brother-in-law Sonny McCool. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and several great-nieces and nephews, as well as his ex-wife Missy and her husband Denny Bryant, who took care of Barry during his illness.
Barry was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Benny, Bradley and Peach Lange; sisters, Betty Mays, Berdena McCool; and a brother-in-law Rob Asher.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m., Tuesday Jan. 3, 2012 at Porter Funeral Home in Tipton. The Rev. Jay Harden and Pastor Kevin Carr will be officiating. Interment will take place at Brookside Cemetery
in Windfall.
Calling will be from 3 to 7 p.m. Monday, Jan. 2, 2012, also at the funeral home.
John Davis
John Davis, 62, Elwood, died Wednesday, Dec. 28, 2011 at St.Vincent Mercy Hospital.
Arrangements are pending at Dunnichay Funeral Home.
Mary D. Miller
Mary D. Miller, 86, Tipton, passed away on Wednesday, Feb. 22, 2012 at her home in Tipton.
She was born in Moss, Tenn. on Sept. 15, 1925 to Roy and Mellie (Scott) Arms.
In July of 1966, Mary married Bill Miller and he preceded her in death on Feb. 25, 1992.
She was a 37 year employee in Dept. 37 of Delco Electronics in Kokomo prior to her retirement in 1991.
Mary loved to crochet and knit. She collected dolls and was a respected doll doctor in the area. She bowled on various leagues, played the guitar and could do almost anything.
Mary was a member of the Women of the Moose and the United Auto Workers 292.
Her survivors include a daughter, Lunell Bowman of Tipton; a son, Bobby Clancy of Knoxville, Tenn.; her grandchildren, Tina VanHorn of Kokomo, Teresa Jackson of Kokomo and Austin VanHorn of Tipton; three great-grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and her siblings, Kenneth Arms of Moss, Tenn., Jimmy Arms of Spencer and Edith Arms of Groomsville.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two children and two brothers.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday, Feb. 27, 2012 at Porter Funeral Home in Tipton. Interment will take place in Tipton’s Fairview Cemetery.
Calling will be from noon until time of services on Monday.
