Beryl Schauberger
TELL CITY, Ind. — Beryl Wingfield Schauberger, 91, died Saturday, March 4, 2000, at Lincoln Hills Health Care.
She and her husband owned and operated a meat market in Cincinnati.
She attended First Baptist Church in Tell City. She had been a resident of Twilight Towers since 1979, where she was a resident council officer.
Surviving are two stepdaughters, Marge and Jo Anne Schauberger, both of Owensboro, Ky.; and nieces and nephews.
Her husband, Ernst, died in 1991.
Services will be at 10 a.m. EST Tuesday at Zoercher-Gillick Funeral Home, with burial in Greenwood cemetery.
Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Monday and from 9 a.m. to service time at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Evangelical United Church of Christ Benevolent Fund, the Perry County Humane Society or to First Baptist Church in Tell City.
Alfred Ruckriegel
JASPER, Ind. — Alfred E. Ruckriegel, 69, died Saturday, March 4, 2000, at Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center of a heart attack.
He retired from the Design Institute of America after more than 40 years.
Surviving are his wife, Lois; six daughters, Cynthia Ambs of Zionsville, Patty Brosmer and Sandy Haskins, both of Jasper, Suzanne Hogue of Huntingburg, Pam Ruckriegel of Velpen and Jodie Ruckriegel of Fishers; a son, Samuel of Jasper; a sister, Dorothy McNeely of Indianapolis; two stepsisters, Marjorie Kalb and Mary Lou Zehr, both of Dubois; two brothers, Bob of Jasper and Clarence of Salinas, Calif.; a stepbrother, John Schott of Dubois; 24 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Charlene D. Smith, in 1998.
Services will be at 11 a.m. EST Tuesday at Redeemer Lutheran Church, with entombment in Fairview cemetery.
Friends may call from noon to 9 p.m. Monday at Becher-Kluesner Funeral Home North Chapel.

Leroy Fuhs
JASPER, Ind. — Leroy H. Fuhs, 75, died Friday, March 3, 2000, at Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center of congestive heart failure.
He retired from the National Guard Armory after 24 years.
He was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church, Holy Name Society, St. Vincent De Paul Society and Veterans of Foreign Wars 673.
He was a World War II Army veteran, serving in the Battle of the Bulge.
Surviving are his wife, Mary; a daughter, Julie Burress of Jasper; four sons, Dave of Columbus, Ohio, Jerry of French Lick, Robert of Indianapolis and Kevin of Chrisney; three sisters, Gladys Burger, Helen Hedinger and Kathryn Friedman, all of Jasper; two brothers, Bernard of Montgomery and Richard of Kokomo; six grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren; and two stepgreat-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Madonna Fuhs, and by a son, Donald, both in infancy.
Services will be at 11 a.m. EST Tuesday at Holy Family Catholic Church, with burial in Fairview cemetery, with military rites.
Friends may call from 1 to 9 p.m. Monday, with a prayer service at 7 p.m., at Becher-Kluesner Funeral Home Downtown Chapel.

Pauline Hallam
OWENS-VILLE, Ind. — Pauline Hallam, 69, of Owensboro, Ky., formerly of Owensville, died Saturday, March 4, 2000, at Owensboro
Mercy Health System, of respiratory failure.
She retired from Medley Distilling Co. in 1979 as a secretary and bookkeeper.
She was a member of Trinity Methodist Church.
Surviving are her husband of 52 years, Donald; a daughter, Donna Kay Davis of Southport, N.C.; a son, Daniel Bruce of Hixson, Tenn.; two sisters, Eunice Conklin of Fort Branch and Helen Tenbarge of Haubstadt; and three grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Holder Funeral Home in Owensville, with burial in Owensville cemetery.

Dorothy Jackson
BOON-VILLE, Ind. — Dorothy L. Jackson, 84, died Saturday, March 4, 2000, at Miller’s Health System in Rockport.
She was a member of Sunrise Baptist Church in San Jose, Calif.
Surviving are two sons, Roy of Boonville and Charles of Los Gatos, Calif.; a sister, Marie Mills of Nashville, Tenn.; a brother, Joe Harper of Owensboro; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and two stepgreat-grandchildren.
Services will be at Oak Hill Funeral Home in San Jose, Calif.

Debra Chandler
Debra S. Chandler, 41, of Evansville, died Thursday, May 4, 2000, at St. Mary’s Health Services/Welborn Campus from a heart attack.
She worked in the commercial loans department at Civitas Bank for 22 years.
She was a member of Albright United Methodist Church.
Surviving are a son, Matthew Allen of Evansville; her parents, Patricia and Donald Smith of Evansville; two brothers, Richard and Randy Chandler, both of Evansville; her grandmother, Esther Nelson; and nephews.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Ziemer Funeral Home North Chapel, the Rev. Jo Olson officiating, with burial in Sunset Memorial Park cemetery.

Mary Areeda
Mary Areeda, 77, of Evansville, died Wednesday, May 3, 2000, at Columbia Healthcare Center from complications of a stroke.
She was Baptist.
Surviving are a daughter, Patricia Szatan of Evansville; a son Albert H. Jr. of Jamesburg, N.J.; sisters and brothers; three grandchildren, Denise, Charles and Dawn Cummings; and two great-grandchildren.
Her husband, Albert H., died in 1979.
There will be no service or visitation at Ziemer Funeral Home East Chapel, burial will be in Fernwood cemetery in Jamesburg, N.J.

Anna Holl
Anna Mae Holl, 95, of Evansville, died Thursday, May 4, 2000, at Parkview Care Center.
She had been in charge of alterations at DeJong’s department store.
She was a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church, St. Ann’s Altar Society, Daughters of Isabella, St. Rita Auxiliary 228 and St. Boniface Senior Citizens.
Surviving are a daughter, Mary Shockley of Evansville; a daughter and son-in-law who cared for her, Sharon and Bill King of Evansville; a son, Marvin L. Wehr of Hendersonville, N.C.; and seven grandchildren, Daniel and David Wehr, Donna Walters, Steve and David Alexander, Sarah Decker and Annette Goodridge.
Her husband, Frank, died in 1980.
Services will be at 8:30 a.m. Saturday at Ziemer Funeral Home West Chapel, continuing at 9 a.m. at St. Boniface Catholic Church, the Rev. Eugene Schroeder officiating, with burial in St. Joseph cemetery.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home, with a memorial service at 7 p.m.

Marianna Lipa
Marianna Lipa, 72, of Danville, Ill., formerly of Evansville, died Wednesday, May 3, 2000, at Provena USMC Logan Campus in Danville from a stroke.
She worked as a manager of the cafeteria at General Electric until it closed and District 118, retiring in 1995.
She was a volunteer at the Veteran’s Administration Chapel and hospital for 28 years.
Surviving are six daughters, Jo Anna Blough, Mary Seyfert, Lori White, Kim Guggemos and Theresa Hinote, all of Danville, and Diana Lindahl of Washington, Ill.; four sons, Mark of St. Louis, Martin of Fairmount, Joseph Jr. of Hayden, Ala., and Carl of Danville; two sisters, Betty Jean Riley of Louisville, Ky., and Shirley Colvin of Mount Pleasant, Ky.; four brothers, Carl Jr. and Daniel Werkmeister, both of Louisville, Richard Werkmeister of Evansville and Robert Werkmeister of Shepherdsville, Ky.; 31 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Her husband, Joseph W. Sr., preceded her in death.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Veteran’s Administration Catholic Chapel in Danville, with burial in Danville National cemetery.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at Pape Memorial Home.
