TELL CITY — Wanda Lee Royer, 60, died Saturday, May 6, 2000, at St. Mary’s Health Care Services/Welborn Campus of cancer.

She was working at the Branchville Training Center and had worked for the Tell City Chair Co.

She was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2939 Ladies Auxiliary.

Surviving are a daughters, Lisa Nance of Tell City; two stepdaughters, Brenda Graves of Charlestown and Cathy Lock of Cannelton; two sons, Rob of Tell City and Michael of Inglis, Fla.; three sisters, Margaret Williams and Nelda Thompson, both of Tell City, and Doris Lutgring of Parma, Ohio; three brothers, George Crawford of Middleboro, Mass., John Crawford of Carrabelle, Fla., and Ron Crawford of Tell City; four grandchildren, Derrick Woodfield, Brandi Nance and Robbie Jr. and Mathew Royer; three stepgrandsons, Jason, John and Jared Lock.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Paul Catholic Church, with burial pending.

Friends may call 2 to 8 p.m. today, with a 6:30 p.m. prayer service and a VFW Auxiliary service following the prayer service, at Zoercher-Gillick Funeral Home.

Paul Henson

HAZLETON — Paul Richard Henson, 54, died Sunday, May 7, 2000, at Gibson General Hospital in Princeton of heart failure.

He was a seasonal worker.

He was a member of Gospel Center Church in Petersburg and the Eagles.

Surviving are his wife, Rebecca; three daughters, Randi Henson of Hazleton, Brandi Henson Coomer of Oklahoma, and Tabitha Henson; a stepdaughter, Gianna Reynolds of Oklahoma; three sons, Paul Dean of Oakland City and Orville Wayne and Brandon; a stepson, Jimmy Jo Reynolds of Hazleton; six sisters, Alberta Hume, Carolyn McCandless and Doris Hamilton, all of Oakland City, Betty Llamas of Dallas and Linda Dent and Brenda Nicholson, both of Petersburg; five brothers, Charles of Cadiz, Ky., James of Cicero, Ill., Larry of Oakland City and Russell Henson and Raymond Mills, both of Petersburg; three grandchildren; a niece and nephews.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Gospel Center Church, with burial in White River Chapel in Bowman.

Friends may call from 3 to 7 p.m. today at Harris Funeral Home in Petersburg and from 1 p.m. to service time at the church.

Thomas Nix

RICHLAND — Thomas L. Nix, 64, died Sunday, May 7, 2000, at Miller’s Merry Manor in Rockport from Huntington’s disease.

He had been a farmer.

Surviving are his wife of 11 years, Charlein; a sister, Betty Bolen of Richland; a brother, J. Robert of Lincoln City; and nieces and nephews.

Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at Boultinghouse Funeral Home in Rockport, with burial in Ebenezer cemetery in Richland.

Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. today and from 8 a.m. to service time at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to Richland United Methodist Church.

Renavea Stephenson

DALE — Renavea H. Stephenson, 87, died Sunday, May 7, 2000, at the home of her daughter, Gayle Childress Birkhead of Newburgh.

She was a charter member of Bethel Temple in Evansville.

She taught Sunday school at Dale Nazarene Church in Huntingburg.

Also surviving are a daughter, LaDema Turpin of Warner Robins, Ga.; a son, Robert J. of Tennyson; a sister, Nadine McGuyer of Evansville; 15 grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and great-great-grandchildren.

Her husband, Robert, died in 1981, and a son, William, died in 1989.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Fuller Funeral Home in Dale, with burial in Garden of Memories in Gentryville.

Friends may call from 3 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Dr. Richard Noveroske

Dr. Richard John Noveroske, 69, of Newburgh, died Monday, May 8, 2000, at St. Mary’s Health Care Services/Welborn Campus from a stroke.

He was a practicing radiologist, currently reading for MedFirst Clinic in Evansville. He had worked for St. Mary’s Warrick, Gibson General Hospital in Princeton, Ind., and Good Samaritan in Vincennes, Ind. He was former chief of staff at Wirth Hospital in Oakland City, Ind.

He was a graduate of Indiana University and the Indiana University Medical Center.

He was a member of Phi Beta Kappa, American Roentgen Ray Society, St. Mary Catholic Church and Rolling Hills Country Club.

Surviving are his wife, Sue Ann; three daughters, Julie Ann Densford of Austin, Texas, Diane Noveroske of Denver and Rhonda Loveless of Salt Lake City; three sons, Keith of Akron, William of Kansas City, Kan., and Jack of Colorado Springs, Colo.; two brothers, Dr. Robert of Midland, Md., and Dr. James of Reno, Nevada; and seven grandchildren.

Services will be at 9 a.m. Friday at St. Mary Catholic Church, the Rev. Stephen P. Lintzenich officiating, with entombment in Park Lawn Mausoleum.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Alexander Funeral Home East Chapel.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.

Jerry Pfoff

Jerry Lee Pfoff, 58, of Evansville, died Monday, May 8, 2000, at Deaconess Hospital of cancer.

He was a member of Washington Avenue Presbyterian Church.

Surviving are five daughters, Tia Pfoff of Evansville, Tobi and Christa Pfoff, both of Lawrenceville, Ill., Jamie Pfoff of Bicknell, Ind., and Jane Ann Pfoff of Evansville; three sons, Paul of Evansville, Scott of Lawrenceville and Jerry of Vincennes, Ind.; a sister, Norma Thompson of Lawrenceville; a brother, James of Vincennes; 15 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Mason Bros. Memorial Chapel, the Rev. Shane O’Neill officiating, with burial in Alexander Memorial Park. There will be no visitation.

Edward Thole III

Edward J. “Joe” Thole III, 49, of Evansville, died Monday, May 8, 2000, at his home from complications of liver disease.

He was a draftsman and estimator.

He was a 1969 graduate of Rex Mundi High School and a 1971 graduate of ITT Technical Institute.

He was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church.

He enjoyed carpentry, NASCAR racing and fishing.

Surviving are a son, Elliott Raymond of Evansville; his parents, Edward J. Jr. and Julianne Thole of Evansville; three sisters, Teresa Robinson of Huntingburg, Julie James of Seminole, Fla., and Maria Kaeding of Red Bluff, Calif.; a brother, James of Evansville; and nieces and nephews.

Services will be at 9:30 a.m. Friday at Browning Funeral Home, continuing at 10 a.m. at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, the Rev. Henry Kuykendall officiating, with entombment in St. Joseph cemetery.

Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the church.

Elizabeth Ohl

Elizabeth Ohl, 92, of Evansville, died Monday, May 8, 2000, at Columbia Healthcare Facility.

Surviving are a niece and a nephew. Her husband, Joe, preceded her in death.

Services will be at 9 a.m. Thursday at Alexander Funeral Home East Chapel, with burial in Oak Hill cemetery.

Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Milas Rosborough

Milas W. Rosborough, 82, of Evansville, died Monday, May 8, 2000, at St. Mary’s Medical Center.

He retired from Trumph of America and had worked for Sunbeam Plastics, Whirlpool Corp. and E.A. Kinsey.

He was a Marine veteran.

He had attended the University of Evansville.

He was a lifetime member and deacon of Calvary Baptist Church and helped found the Northeast Park Baptist Church.

Surviving are his wife of 61 years, Valada (Hoepner); a daughter, Kathleen A. Bracher of Fairfax, Va.; a son, Michael A. of Jackson, Tenn.; a sister, Betty Forster of Evansville; three grandchildren, Phillip, Brandon and Valada Bracher; and nieces and nephews.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel, the Rev. Allan Pollock officiating, with entombment in Oak Hill Mausoleum.

Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to Calvary Baptist Church or a favorite charity.

Debbie Helt

Debbie Helt, 31, of Evansville, died Monday, May 8, 2000, at her home from complications of a seizure disorder.

She was a member of Bethel Temple in Evansville.

Surviving are her husband, Scott; two daughters, Stephanie and Sarah Helt, both at home; a son, Andrew, at home; her parents, Don and Evelyn (Skeels) Bender of Evansville; a sister, Dorothy Yates of Evansville; three brothers, Darren Bender, Don Bivens and her twin brother, Dan, all of Evansville; her grandparents, Charles and LaVerne Pfender and Jan and Noble Bruce; and nieces and nephews.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Simpson-Meyer Funeral Home, the Rev. David Pry officiating, with burial in Alexander Memorial Park.

Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Clarence Hofmann

Clarence E. Hofmann, 80, of Evansville, died Tuesday, May 9, 2000, at Deaconess Hospital.

He retired from Hesmer as a supervisor in 1982 and had worked at Servel Inc. until 1956.

He was a World War II Army veteran, serving in the 2nd Chemical Motor Battalion.

He was a graduate of Central High School. He enjoyed sports and the Ellis Park horse races.

Surviving are two sons, Clarence and Michael, both of Evansville; a sister, Gladys Herron of Atlanta; and three grandchildren, Carla Philhouser, Shawn Stearns and Kelly.

Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday at Miller & Miller Colonial Chapel, the Rev. D. Scott Johnson officiating, with burial in Locust Hill cemetery, with military rites.

Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Thursday and from noon to service time at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the World War II Veterans Memorial Fund.
