Vina Herron
Vina Jane (McChesney) Herron, 87, of Evansville, died Saturday, May 6, 2000, at Woodbridge Health Care.
She had worked as a seamstress for Enfield and Edwards manufacturing.
She was a member of the Calvary Temple Assembly of God for more the 30 years and attended Parke Memorial Presbyterian Church and Bethel Temple.
Surviving are a granddaughter, Tonya Brantley; a great-granddaughter who helped care for her, SeAnna Brantley; and nieces and nephews including a niece who cared for her, Brenda Johnson.
Her daughter, Gayle Landrum, died in 1990.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Miller & Miller Colonial Chapel, the Rev. Bill Nichols officiating, with burial in Sunset Memorial Park cemetery.
Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home and from 10 a.m. to service time.
Golda Kolb
Golda C. Kolb, 90, of Evansville, died Saturday, May 6, 2000, at Deaconess Hospital.
She held a beautician license.
She was a member of Mount Pleasant Church of God.
She enjoyed gardening.
Surviving are a daughter, Barbara Payne of Evansville; two sisters, Muriel Blakley and Wanda Wininger, both of Vincennes, Ind.; two grandchildren, Michael E. and Scott T. Payne; and four great-grandchildren.
Her husband, Edgar, died in 1999.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Browning Funeral Home, the Rev. Michael Toombs officiating, with entombment in Oak Hill Mausoleum.
Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Harold Alderson
Harold C. Alderson, 63, of Evansville, died Sunday, May 7, 2000, at Deaconess Hospital of congestive heart failure.
He retired from Pro-Form Plastics Co.
He was a member of Oak Hill Church of Christ.
He enjoyed fishing.
Surviving are his wife of 18 years, Ann (Wilkerson); a sister, Dorothy Rogers of Owensboro, Ky.; and nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Alexander Funeral Home East Chapel, Dan Wade officiating, burial pending.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. to service time at the funeral home.

Wanda Roedel
Wanda F. Roedel, 59, of Evansville, died Sunday, May 7, 2000, at her home of leukemia.
She worked for Old National
Bank in the mortgage department for 25 years.
She attended Christian Fellowship Church.
Surviving are her husband of 39 years, Kenneth; two daughters, Kellie McCrarey and Julie Hudak, both of Evansville; a brother, Paul Johnson of Newburgh; and three grandchildren, Jamie and Brian McCrarey and Sidney Nicole Hudak.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Alexander Funeral Home East Chapel, the Rev. Spencer R. Downs officiating, with burial in Sunset Memorial Park cemetery.

Charles Sutherland
Charles D. “Charlie” Sutherland, 26, of Evansville, died Saturday, May 6, 2000, at St. Mary’s Medical Center as a result of injuries suffered in a motorcycle accident Friday on Green River Road.
He was an apprentice pipefitter with Hampton Refrigeration and member of Pipefitter’s Local 136.
Surviving are his father, Roy of Evansville; two brothers, Jeremy and Michael, both of Evansville; his grandparents, Roy and Ruth Sutherland; and a niece.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Alexander Funeral Home West Chapel, with burial in Alexander Memorial Park.

Mildred Chesser
Mildred A. Chesser, 83, of Evansville, died Sunday, May 7, 2000, at St. Mary’s Health Care Services/Welborn Campus.
She retired from Sears Roebuck & Co.
She was a member of Methodist Church of Christ in Spurgeon, Ind.
Surviving are a daughter, Hiwana Raleigh of Sebree, Ky.; two sons, Gary of San Antonio and Kerry G. of Newburgh; a sister, Violet Mason of Huntingburg, Ind.; a brother, Victor Oxby of Blue Mound, Ill.; three grandchildren, Kerry Chesser Jr., Cheryl Forker and Debbie Townsend; five great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
Her husband of 45 years, Marion E., died in 1984.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Alexander Funeral Home East Chapel, the Revs. Rollin Simpson and Honna Schloss officiating, with burial in Spurgeon cemetery in Spurgeon, Ind.

William Collene
William “Bill” Collene, 72, of Evansville, died Sunday, May 7, 2000, at St. Mary’s Health Care/Welborn Campus of congestive heart failure.
He retired from Gem Furniture.
He was a World War II Army Air Corps veteran and member of the American Legion 8.
He was a member, deacon, elder and taught Sunday school at Olivet Presbyterian Church. He was past moderator of the Ohio Valley Presbytery.
He enjoyed golf.
Surviving are his wife of 33 years, Mary Ada; three sons, David Blagg of Louisville, Tenn., James Blagg of Newburgh and Charles Collene of Cheboygan, Mich.; a sister, Sharon Buckberger of Oregon; nine grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
Memorial services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Olivet Presbyterian Church, the Rev. Dave Mills officiating, burial pending.
There will be no visitation at Alexander Funeral Home East Chapel.

Hilbert Haller
JASPER — Hilbert A. “Hip” Haller, 69, died Saturday, May 6, 2000, at Jasper Memorial Hospital of an apparent heart attack.
He worked for Gutzweiler Packing Co. and then Kimball Upholstery Plant 1 for 23 years.
He volunteered for the Boy Scouts as a committeeman and advancement chairman of 35 years and coached the Wrens in Little League for 12 years.
Surviving are his wife, Janet “Jennie”; a daughter, Martha Lottes of Fox River Grove, Ill.; three sons, Glenn of Gallatin, Tenn., Jim of Napa, Calif., and Bob of Georgetown; three sisters, May Shawley of Napa, Margaret Clauss of Washington, Ind., and Donna Boeglin of Fort Wayne; and two grandchildren.
Services will be at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, with burial in Fairview cemetery.
Friends may call from 2 to 9 p.m. today, with a prayer service at 4 p.m. and a Jasper High School Class of 1948 memorial service at 7 p.m. at Becher & Kluesner Downtown Chapel.

Rev. Donald Woods
ST. MEINRAD — The Rev. Donald Lee Woods, 57, died Saturday, May 6, 2000, at his home of a heart attack.
He was an electrician at Alcoa Warrick and was a member of the United Steelworkers Union.
He was a member of Apostolic Church in Stewartsville.
He was a member of Lincolnland Worship Center in Santa Claus.
Surviving are his wife, Connie Sue of St. Meinrad; three daughters, Angela Woods of St. Meinrad, Audra Russell of Santa Claus and Amy E. Hodgson of Louisville, Ky.; three sisters, Margie Stone of Delight, Ark., Doris Radosevic of Chilicothe, Ill., and Betty Schneider of Mount Vernon; two brothers, Harold and Joseph, both of Delight; and three grandchildren, Jessica, Rebekah and Marcus Lee Russell.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Apostolic Bible Church in Stewartsville, with burial in Bethsaida cemetery in Stewartsville.
Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. today and from 10 a.m. to noon at Werry Funeral Home in Poseyville and from 1 p.m. to service time at the church.
