Ella Thompson
Ella Thompson, 81, of Evansville, died Thursday, June 1, 2000, at St. Mary’s Medical Center.
She had worked at Indian Summer and was a member of Vann Avenue Baptist Church.
Surviving are two daughters, Mary Lambert and Stella Taylor, both of Evansville; two sons, Harlan and J.R., both of Evansville; a sister, Mae DeWeese of Evansville; eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Her husband, Hubert, died in 1996.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Alexander Funeral Home East Chapel, the Rev. Robert A. Nall officiating, with burial in Oak Hill cemetery.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today and from 1 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
Charlotte Nelson
Charlotte B. Nelson, 71, of Evansville, died Thursday, June 1, 2000, at Deaconess Hospital of complications due to surgery.
She had worked at Braun’s Nursing Home and was the owner of Nelson’s Day Care Center.
She was a member of Northwest Church of Christ and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1114 Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed fishing and gardening.
Surviving are her husband of 36 years, David W.; a daughter, Rae Jeanne Jamison of San Diego; two sons, Lloyd Woods and Chris Palmer, both of Evansville; an adopted son, Joseph Mardirosian of Jacksonville, Fla.; 10 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Services will be private, with burial in Locust Hill cemetery.

Stephen Nally
Stephen Paul Nally, 42, formerly of Evansville, died Monday, May 29, 2000, in Las Vegas. The coroner in Las Vegas is investigating the death.
He was self-employed and a Catholic.
Surviving is his mother, Jeanette (Heimbuecher) Nally of Louisville, Ky.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Ziemer Funeral Home East Chapel, the Rev. Jay Davidson officiating, with burial in Oak Hill cemetery.
Friends may call from 2 to 5 p.m. and from 6 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Ethel Satterfield
Ethel Satterfield, 78, formerly of Evansville, died Wednesday, May 31, 2000, in Los Angeles at the home of her son, Gene, where she was living. She had a stroke.
She was a former member and had served as president of the junior choir at Nazarene Baptist Church.
Also surviving are her husband of 53 years, Al; two sisters, Ruth Norman and Pauline Cook, both of Evansville; two brothers, the Rev. Robert Brown of Evansville and Claude Brown of Chicago; a granddaughter, Joy; and nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Harreson Ross Mortuary in Los Angeles, with burial in the Veterans cemetery in Pasadena, Calif.
Nancy Walder
Nancy R. Walder, 75, of Evansville, died Friday, June 2, 2000, at her home of cancer.
She retired from Sears Roebuck and Co. as a clerk.
She was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Evansville and St. Patrick Catholic Church in Cairo, Ill.
Surviving are her husband, Robert W.; four daughters, Antoinette Walder of Dayton, Ohio, Catherine Walder and Christine Emge, both of Evansville, and Tracy Walder of Lafayette, Ind.; a son, Stephen of Evansville; three sisters, Betty Kiel of Murphysboro, Ill., Shirley Koenigsmark of Metropolis, Ill., and Judy Brown of Nashville, Ill.; grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Cairo, the Monsignor Bill McGhee officiating, with burial in Calvary cemetery in Villa Ridge, Ill.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Barkett Funeral Home in Cairo, with a rosary service at 7 p.m.

Milburn Waite Sr.
Milburn R. Waite Sr., 80, of Evansville, died Friday, June 2, 2000, at Deaconess Hospital.
He was a carpenter working out of Local 90 for more than 50 years.
He was a World War II veteran and life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1114.
He was a member of St. Mathew’s United Church of Christ.
For 32 years, he had been a Boy Scout Leader and was a member of several camping clubs.
Surviving are his wife, Beatrice J. (Addis); a daughter, Alberta L. Tolliver of Evansville; a son, Milburn R. of Temecula, Calif.; three grandchildren, Daniel R., Judith A. and Jeffery E. Tolliver; and a great-granddaughter.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Alexander Memorial Park Chapel, the Rev. Will Jewsbury officiating, with entombment in the mausoleum.

Bernice Reeder
Bernice June (Fulling) Irwin Reeder, 85, of Evansville, died Thursday, June 1, 2000, at St. Mary’s Health Care Services/Welborn Campus of a stroke.
She had been a beautician and was a member of the First Christian Church in Grayville, Ill.
She enjoyed painting and crocheting.
Surviving are a son, Richard Irwin of Evansville; a sister, Eloise Felice of Port Charlotte, Fla.; two grandchildren, Melissa Miller and Amber Irwin; and a great-grandchild.
Her husband, Donn Irwin, died in 1970.
Services will be at 7 p.m. Sunday at Miller & Miller Colonial Chapel, the Rev. Alton Davis officiating, with burial pending.

Infant Evelyn Evrard
Evelyn Victoria Evrard, daughter of Scott and Amy Evrard of Evansville, was stillborn Monday, May 29, 2000, at St. Mary’s Medical Center.
Also surviving are her grandparents, Dorothy and Jerry Murry and Terry and Nedra Oakley; and great-grandparents.
Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Sunset Memorial Park cemetery, the Rev. Ray Harper officiating.
There will be no visitation at Alexander Funeral Home West Chapel.
Armando Nunez
Armando Nunez, 48, of Evansville, died Friday, June 2, 2000, at his home of cancer.
He worked for Los Bravos for 10 years.
He attended St. Joseph Catholic Church in Dale.
Surviving are two daughters, Gabriela and Jeanette Nunez, both of California; two sons, Eddie of California and Richard of Evansville; his mother, Juanita Nunez of Mexico; seven grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Ziemer Funeral Home East Chapel, with burial in Oak Hill cemetery.

Wilbur Keesler Sr.
PRINCETON — Wilbur William Keesler Sr., 88, died Friday, June 2, 2000, at his home.
He retired as a heavy machine equipment operator.
He was a World War II Army veteran, serving in field artillery and was a member of the American Legion Post 25.
He was a member of the Senior Citizens of Princeton.
Surviving is his wife, Doris.
A son, Wilbur Jr. and a daughter, preceded him in death.
There will be no visitation or service. Colvin Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
William Oberst
WASHINGTON — William Herschel Oberst, 88, died Thursday, June 1, 2000, at Hillside Manor Nursing Home.
He taught English at the College of the Scriptures in Louisville, Ky., was a former principal, reading supervisor and attendance officer, retiring after 25 years of teaching. He was a member of the Indiana Retired Teacher’s Association.
He was a farmer, raised Angus cattle and was a member of the American Angus Association.
He received his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Indiana State University.
He was a Sunday school teacher and elder of Antioch Christian Church. He was on the board of trustees of the South India Missions.
He was instrumental in establishing Camp Illiana.
Surviving are two daughters, Roselyn Grubbs and Marion McCracken, both of Washington; a son, Mark of Florence, Ky.; a sister, Ruby Adams of Washington; a brother, Lowell of Washington; seven grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
His wife, Estelle Frances (White), died in 1997.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Antioch Christian Church, with burial in the Antioch cemetery.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Gill Funeral Home, and from 10 a.m. to service time at the church.
